Due to our late arrival we stayed one night before heading to San Jose. Late check-in was possible without a problem and we would recommend taking a taxi (we took the San Jose - Airport - Alajuela bus which was too expensive as you have to pay the full fare, not just Airport - Alajuela). We loved the breakfast as it is not the toast, eggs, fruits trio but rather rice and beans, eggs, bread and fruits. Rooms are rather simple and we would not stay multiple nights but as an airport transfer it works out wonderfully. There is also a pool as part of the property and breakfast tables outdoor.

We found the hotel very clean and well cared for. It is family owned and operated and has been in the family for a long time. The staff was wonderful. with attention to detail. We were able to keep our rental car safe on the property for our last night. We enjoyed breakfast which was delicious, and sitting by the pool.

Nothing really. Of course, there was a bit of traffic and noise but this hotel is greatly located in the city so that is to be expected. We had peaceful nights and good sleep because things get quiet around 9 PM.

We got in late the night before an early flight. This was a good option for this purpose — clean, basic room with a clean shared bathroom. It has other amenities including a pool and breakfast we weren’t able to take advantage of. The staff is very friendly and woke without fuss for our late arrival and early departure, which I appreciated. There may be other attractions nearby but we travelled there essentially to get to the airport, which was very close. Price was just about $40 US for the night — very reasonable.

We stayed here for one night before our flight home. The hotel was nice enough, very close to the airport, around $5 in a taxi. Good location to both the town and airport. Room was comfy. Pool seemed alright but didn’t use it. They let us check in early and the staff were very helpful

Breakfast wasn’t great. Juice, coffee and an omelette. Would have preferred some gallo pinto and a more tradition Costa Rican breakfast

It was perfect for what we needed. We needed a simple, cheap, comfortable, clean hotel to stay in for one night, near the airport. The staff were some of the loveliest, most welcoming and helpful hotel staff I’ve encountered. Couldn’t have asked for better!

The property was perfect for the price. The shared bathroom (for all guests) wasn’t ideal but in all fairness, it was kept very very clean and was available whenever I needed it. For the price of the hotel, fair enough. The location also was pretty bad. Very difficult to find decent food in the area.

Wonderful staff, made us feel almost like family. The breakfasts were always good and served with great care and attentiveness. The location is great for a home base between excursions to various parts of the country.

Being in the city, was of course a bit noisy, but still we slept well. Seems like most traffic ended by 10 PM.

An ideal place for leaving from SJO airport just a few kilometres away. Though hardly any noise from air traffic. Comfy rooms and beds, super-friendly reception. Unfortunately we didn't get to use the pool. Alajuela is definitely a town worth visiting in its own right: lovely cafés and restaurants, and it's close to Poas volcano.

very close to the airport so it’s the perfect b&b for the day of arrival or departure from San Jose airport. supermarket nearby to get food in the evening.

breakfast was good but already prepared when I got there so the omelette unfortunately had ham in it and I’m vegetarian.

Very kind and helpful staff in every sense. Delicious breakfast and clean and comfortable rooms. Alajuela is the perfect place to stay to visit San Jose and get a transfer to or from the Airport. near to the Hotel there are some possibilities to eat in a Restaurant or Soda and go to the Supermarket and different Stores. We felt very save and really recommend that Hotel.

Great location in the city center but still with private parking (quite narrow but manageable), nice and helpful owner, was no problem to stay longer in the hotel as we had a late flight. We had a room with private terrace, bathroom and AC. Nice pool area. Really good price value.

Our room was facing towards the street and was not insulated well, so it was noisy from cars, dogs, etc.
