As a single traveling female, I felt very safe, well cared for and there is always someone at the office (it’s open 24hrs) to help with any needs. I had some travel issues and they supported me through the entire experience. Including having a very comfortable room available to me for 2 additional days, after I got to the airport and my flight needed to be changed due to weather issues at my connection. I would highly recommend them.

It’s off a road that can be busy so I highly recommend bringing earplugs.

Beautiful big room with a lovely view. It's quiet and has a communal kitchen. One of the staff got up to open the gates for my 3am departure and organised a taxi for me. They is a small convenience store around the corner.

If you're paying by credit or debit card, expect a 13% surcharge. The "pool" isn't much bigger than a pond. My room had a flat screen tv with cable, but the reception was terrible on every channel. You can't even connect your laptop to the TV without an HDMI cable . Terrible wifi, too. Consistently drops out and has an extremely low signal.

Pleasant and affordable place near Alajuela Airport. Marc was very nice and helpful; he resolved all our doubts. Breakfast was good. We had also dinner in the place although the menu was a little bit pricy, and the options were quoted in dollars. Big room and comfortable bed. Also they have lovely dogs.

Just little things... We found the entrance to the accommodation a little bit difficult by car due to the narrow street and the steep rise. As we have commented before, the menu was a little bit pricy and quoted in dollars. However, overall, we totally recommend this place.

Mauricio & Mark are extremely friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. Breakfast of fruit, toast and coffee sets you up for the day. The only place in a 2 month stay in Costa Rica that had hot showers. Feeding station for birds next to breakfast area, 27 species seen including blue crowned motmot, rufous rumped wren, brown jays, rufous tailed hummingbird, fiery billed acari, baltimore oriole, yellow, Wilson’s & rufous capped warbler.Convenient for the airport. Good value.

Perfect breakfast. Loved the owners - they were friendly and helpful. Beautiful property!

Wish room had better lighting and pillows. Bathroom set up could be better. For example, shelves in the shower,better quality soap, toliet that was flush free without clogging. Should be able to put toliet paper in the the toliet without it clogging up. There should be a variety of pillows, for example, softer and able to sink your head into.

As a solo female traveler I am very grateful for my whole experience at Villa Pacande. I’d like to thank especially to Carlos who promptly answered all my questions before an arrival, advised me a reliable taxi, greeted me with a big smile at the reception and shared with me useful tips for happy and safe trip in Costa Rica 🇨🇷 My first day couldn’t be better and I will always remember the warm welcoming feeling I was privileged to get. The gardens are lovely. There are birds everywhere. All the staff are very accommodating. It is great that you can have an evening meal there. There is a surprisingly extensive menu. We also liked the breakfast.

The rooms are very basic but also not expensive. We only stayed one night but it was difficult to put your things anywhere. The sheets did not at all fit the beds so constantly slid off in the night. There are no restaurants in walking distance.

This is located real close to the airport which is just what we were looking for (however, the care rental place we rented from (Alamo) was on the opposite side of the airport so it took us much longer than anticipated. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The food was great!

The fitted sheets were not very fitted and try and we did, we (or our kids) ended up on bare mattresses that were far from desirable :(. Other than that, about what we expected to get!

We had a nice triple room. Staff was really helpful and the closed parking was a big plus. However, if you order food through reception (nearby restaurant), make sure to verify the order. I wanted a chicken burger and got fried chicken with nachos :( other than that would recommend!

Nice, quiet B and B that was close to the airport and a perfect place to begin and end our trip to Costa Rica. They serve delicious dinners and cocktails in the evening and provide a free breakfast in the morning. We were able to pick up and drop off our rental car on the property, which was very convenient and easy. They provide transportation to and from the airport. The owner and staff were very friendly and helpful.
