Breakfast was rich, mostly same things every day but enough diversity to not get bored. Lots of fish, fruits and veggies. Rooms were well equipped and clean. Staff was always helpful. I got a double balcony room next to my co-travelers, even though I had paid for a single no balcony room. Also, location is a healthy compromise between the Uvala Lapad beach and the new Batala port (tavern area) and close to the bus stop taking you to the old city. They gave us free dinner vouchers for the first evening as a reward for staying for 7 nights.

We got street facing rooms but after first night you get used to the occasional traffic. One of the guys at the reception acted kind of indifferent when we complained about the traffic and asked for back facing rooms next morning. He said they were fully booked and that we got the renovated rooms so we should feel lucky, considering back facing rooms had to deal with hotel ventilation noises instead. I just had to take his word for it, no idea if he meant it. Also, one of our rooms had a legally protected bird's nest on some corner of the balcony so it would sound the wake up call for the people in the morning. You will have to pay for drinks, even plain water, if you're having dinner there. It's silly, but there you have it. Breakfast, though, is entirely free.

Overall, the hotel is quite clean. The room we had was surprisingly very spacious, and the beds were large and comfortable. They also cleaned our room and changed our towels everyday (although they didn't need to). The breakfast staff were helpful and friendly. Breakfast buffet had variety and was quite good and hearty.

Since we were a family of 2 adults and 2 children, we were assigned a large room in the old part of the hotel, and the toilet was not fixed to the floor (the screw they put to hold it down was lose), but everything else in the bathroom was working perfectly. We saw that the twin rooms were modern and renovated.

I had a mixed experience at Hotel Ivka in Dubrovnik. Here are some of the highlights and drawbacks: Amazing Location: The hotel is situated in a prime area, with many popular beaches within walking distance. It’s perfect for those who love spending time by the sea. Delicious Breakfast: The breakfast at Hotel Ivka was a highlight of our stay. There was a wide variety of options available, catering to different tastes and dietary preferences. It was a great way to start the day, with plenty of fresh and delicious choices. Convenient Parking: There’s parking available within the hotel premises, which is a great convenience for guests with cars. Nearby Amenities: The hotel is located right next to a grocery store and a supermarket, making it easy to pick up any essentials during your stay. Helpful Staff: The staff were friendly and always willing to assist with any requests!!

Small and Overpriced Room: The room felt overpriced for what it offered. It did not have a window, which made it feel even more cramped. The room lacked a small refrigerator, which would have been a minimal investment for the hotel and there was enough space to accommodate one. We stayed for 4 days during a heatwave, with temperatures exceeding 35°C. The lack of basic amenities like a refrigerator and complimentary water made this quite uncomfortable. This was especially inconvenient given the hot weather. No Complimentary Water: We arrived dehydrated from the airport, and the hotel did not offer even a glass of water. There was no water provided in the room either. This is something they need to improve in their service.

Staff was very friendly and helpful and the neighbourhood is very quiet and calm. Seems to be a popular spot for pensioners on their bus tours. The breakfast had a decent array of options so I'd say it's pretty good value to go with breakfast. Overall I had a comfortable stay and the hotel has the basics you need. There's a supermarket right nearby as well which is nice!

A fridge in the room would be nice. The tv has a maximum volume of 30 which isn't very high and meant that I couldn't hear it when the very loud air conditioning unit was turned on. The air con is controlled centrally so you can only click on or off. I could also hear every conversation in the hallway very vividly so would've liked to be able to turn up the tv volume a bit more. The hotel is also a bit distant from most of the action in Dubrovnik. There's a bus down the road which is handy to get to the old town but there isn't a very easy way to get to the airport without paying for a taxi.

This is a hotel that offers the quality of its services a relaxed atmosphere in a wonderful space, with everything you want or need, specific to Croatia! Thank you for the room we received, you made us so happy! Great people - all - the manager, the receptionists, the restaurant staff, the cleaning women, all the communicative, nice people, they do everything to make the hotel guests feel good. Breakfast and dinner were buffet style, the food was very tasty. The restaurant is wonderful with very good organization. Wireless internet is available in the entire hotel and is free of charge. There is public parking at the hotel, we did not pay extra. The hotel has air-conditioned rooms and only some rooms have a balcony. Dubrovnik is a 45-minute walk from the hotel. There are also buses that run frequently, the station is about 5 minutes from the hotel. In July 2021 I stayed 10 days at this beautiful hotel. And because it has won our trust, we wanted to return to Dubrovnik and the Ivka Hotel in 2022. We will definitely return whenever we have the opportunity. We paid by card at the hotel. Beautiful holiday destination! Thank you for creating a warm and hospitable atmosphere, which makes you feel good from the early hours of the morning.

It's a classic 3 star hotel, rooms are clean, location is decent, it definitely needs some renovation. However, professional staff and excellent breakfast, as well as comfortable beds make up for the disadvantages. Rooms are spacious, clean, nice and big terraces as well.

A touch of renovation could be helpful to improve the comfort of the stay. Air condition works well, but it is very noisy. The hotel bar closes at 22:00, and there is no way to get a drink past that time (which is further enhanced by the lack of shops or bars nearby). A fridge or a minibar would be a welcomed addition during summertime.

The location is great to explore the Lapad peninsula, there are very good restaurants (try Fishbar El Pulpo) close by and you have a quick bus connection to the old town (get the Dubrovnik pass). The plus of staying outside of the old town is that you skip the many many steps you would have to take while getting to/from your hotel in the old town.. The room was quite spacious and clean, beds comfortable. The breakfast was very good with many different options, lots of fresh fruit, eggs, cheese, pastries, yoghurt.. the staff was always friendly and willing to help. We enjoyed our stay very much, thank you!

Very good value for money. Staff are cheerful and helpful. Location is also very good, Sunset Beach is in walking distance and you can easily visit the Old Town via the local city bus. If you arrive with your own car, you will very much appreciate the underground garage, it is quite a rare service in Croatia and they offer it for free. We liked the breakfast they offered, plenty of options to choose from and it was tasteful. The only notable negative experience that there is no frige - not even a mini bar - in the room. All in all, it was a great experience, we really enjoyed our stay, thanks IVKA Hotel!

This hotel was a wonderful surprise. From the outside it didn’t look inspiring, but when we reached our room we were very pleasantly surprised. Large, modern- I assume it was recently renovated- comfortable with a great bathroom too. Staff were sensational, happy to store our luggage pre booking in, and then let us check in very early. Restaurant staff were excellent too. Close to shops, restaurants and transport.

It doesn’t have a view, but that’s not a big issue when everything else is so good.

I really appreciate how warmly I was greeted by the hotel staff, namely the receptionist Ivana. Thank you very much. The hotel ticks all the boxes in terms of location for me: a walkable distance to Dubrovnik bus station, Lapad beaches and the old town. The room surpassed my expectation. Not only was it spacious, clean and comfortable, but a good bonus was a balcony which I did not expect. It was lovely and quiet. Delicious breakfast with great choice. I could also leave my luggage in the hotel for the day after I checked out - really helpful.
