City Hotel Dubrovnik is an excellent value for its location, not too close to the old town, but within a short 10 minute drive. The hotel is new, the room was comfortable, with amenities and friendly staff. The parking was very convenient and secure. The restaurant was great, for dinner as well as breakfast. Overall, excellent.

There isn't anything I can think of not to like. The location was not very close to the old town, but it's a short 10-15 minute drive to a parking area near the entrance to the great walled city. Instead, the hotel is located near the popular resort harbor, which has its own restaurants and businesses.

The check in staff named Christina was excellent! She was very nice and accommodating and was a big help in orienting us about the area and the available facilities and establishments around the hotel and the city.

We did not get the requested extra bed on the night that we requested it as the room we are in did not have a sofa bed, and the hotel did not have movable beds in their equipment. The staff were quite apologetic for this and promised that the next night, our last night, on this case, they would transfer us in another room with a sofa bed. We opted not to transfer rooms as we had a full day and we had to wait until the afternoon to transfer to another room. This was not much of a problem for us as we found a way to fit 3 people cross wise in the bed in the room.

Excellent location, close to the Port of Dubrovnik, various shops, taxi and bus a few steps away. Old Town is a direct street and a few minutes' walk away, a pleasant walk with many attractive views. The hotel is excellent, the rooms are large and comfortable, better than a 5-star hotel. I recommended bar and restaurant. Garage available on request. Excellent staff, available for all questions, professional, communicative and very kind. The staff at the reception is the best experience I have ever had, and the female staff at the reception is 10+, I have a feeling of trust and my stay was a great experience thanks to the staff. I will always be happy to come to Hotel City.

The room is big with big balcony and sea view(partly from balcony). The parking is good and safe but with reservation and fee. Bed is so comfy. Breakfast is wonderful. Staffs also very nice. They gave us a coffee maker though we have to clean its first.

Their cleaning wasn’t good. We stayed 3 nights and found many non-hygiene such as dust on the sink tap , hairs on the bath floor, spot in the toilet. We found bees hide in the balcony wall and ants on the floor, please be careful. As they are 4 stars hotel , we expect there should be amenities(cotton buds, shower cab etc.) and drinking water but none of them wasn’t provided in the room. They have central air condition.

Reception staff were very friendly, cheerful and helpful.... check-in was seamless. My room was huge, well laid out, modern with a balcony and big screen tv. There was lovely rainfall shower in the bathroom. The hotel is a short distance from the harbour area and less than 10mins by public transport (which is right outside the hotel) to the old town. The shuttle bus to the airport collects from this bus stop too which is very handy. It's also close to a number of grocery shops and restaurants. Breakfast was good- nice variety at €15 if not included in your stay. Would recommend this hotel - no problem.

The staff were very welcoming, polite and helpful, the view from the balcony amazing of the city. There was free parking if needed although we did not have a car as the location was close to bus services and shopping

Disappointed with the breakfast set up as only one coffee machine, it would have been good if they had two as minimum. As the restaurant was not part of the Hotel so room service was limited as you had to pay up front (not Much Use)

The hotel was really comfortable. Really good value for the money. I liked the location which was far enough away from old city but there was a bus on the line that goes right there. Staff was really helpful. Very accommodating to my needs.

I was a bit disappointed by the restaurant. I ate for breakfast one morning and I had to ask for them to put out glasses for juice and then silverware. The food was also underwhelming. Buffet style breakfast and it some of the options were not good, especially for the price. The one bright spot were the pastries. Maybe they just had an off day as many reviewers enjoyed it.

The hotel is new so it is bright, clean and so so quiet. The staff is phenomenal and went out of their way to help me. Restaurant staff was also fantastic and the food was excellent. Access to the Old town was easy by bus and it was pretty perfect to be away from the tourist noise and close to the Ferry terminal. Please special thanks to Ana, Mia, Petra, Tom, Malden and Dragana, who so kindly took care of my stay. They made solo travel a wonderful experience.

The only challenge was getting a response regarding possible pick up from the airport as mail response was delayed 3-4 days. In the end, I found an alternative but it was a little frustrating.

Staff at reception was very nice and helpful. The room was huge and modern, with a good bed. The hotel looks brand new. We liked the couple cafés nearby overlooking the port for our morning coffee. And there’s a bus station right in front of the hotel with several buses taking you to the historic centre in just 5 minutes, so from that perspective the location is good.

The location is great, but if you’re going to walk to the historic centre, it’ll take you about 30 min (half of it uphill, the other half downhill). Views are gorgeous though.

The hotel is conveniently located near the social centre of Dubrovnik - sort of central to the bus station, ferry ports, a couple of shopping centres, a bit of a walk (30 minutes or so) to the main gate of the Old Town, and easy walk to Lapad, the hospital etc. The room was very comfortable, plenty of cupboard space, clean and spacious bathroom, spacious balcony. The staff were all polite/friendly/professional and service was prompt. The restaurant/cafe is on the ground floor, with a front/open air space. The breakfast buffet was very good - fresh, healthy, plentiful. Excellent coffee machine!
