It was quirky, very different - a modernised very historic building which kept a lot of old features, and was filled with examples of the owner's art work. The rooms were comfortable, and very clean. Meals were traditional Greek, and delicious, although dinner portions were a bit on the large side. Most of the staff were friendly and helpful.

There sadly seemed to be issues with staffing, probably because the owner wasn't there a lot as he was recovering from heart surgery. We had dinner there on a few occasions and it was awful to see them lose customers because nobody met them and offered them a table, even when they had waited a while. It seemed that the cook was also supposed to be front of house. This often seemed to be a lady, who was polite and a very good cook, but was slow, and not at all friendly and smiley. It was better, when the owner's son was there. The location was excellent, as you were right in the middle of the old town. Guests from several different countries staying there, which added to the ambience.

overnight check-in was very fast, hassle-free and convenient. I liked the building, the room itself, the interior of the hotel and especially the breakfast terraces. The breakfasts were also excellent and very filling. the room was cleaned every day. there was a cooler with clean water, a kettle, tea, coffee, milk, cream, shampoo and shower gel - in general, everything you might need. close to the bus station, which is very convenient, and about 3 km from the sea, but this walk was only a plus for me. caring staff

I'm not sure if the daily cleaning was a plus for me (sometimes it caused inconvenience). I would prefer it to happen once every 2-3 days. I know that one could ask about this, but I fell ill during this trip and did not orient myself. it’s also better to come to breakfast early, otherwise all the most delicious things can end and they won’t add it. at least that was the case in my case)

The staff were lovely, especially George ever helpful and Anthea the kindly helpful chef of lovely foods. Chris also great but everyone was smiley, friendly and good. The hotel was well sited, quirky, well set out and clean. The courtyard at the back was charming being overhung by a tall palm tree making a great dining area for the summertime. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

We arrived very early in the season when the evening and nights were really very cold. A fire was going in by the dining room which helped but the Hotel is best suited to sunshine weather. Fortunately there was effective heating in the bedrooms.

We really liked the fact that it was a family run hotel, not a huge impersonal modern, resort hotel. It's location in Ktima was excellent, giving us access to the local community and not just to tourist areas or attractions. I have many food allergies, but love food, so being able to eat and enjoy traditional Cypriot cuisine whilst also having my allergy needs accommodated was really important and positive. My daughter loved the home made desserts, jams and fruits. We got to know the owner and staff over our stay and learnt much from our conversations. The hotel - just because it is different and not the 'standard' modern resort hotel - attracts interesting travelers from a lot of countries, so we also enjoyed meeting and chatting with many really interesting other guests too. Just love that outdoor courtyard and being able in February to have breakfast outdoors, listening to the birds and chatting with fellow guests.

Visitors need to realise in advance that such a building, that has gradually been refurbished to look after its guests, will still provide some steeper stairs, smaller bathrooms etc because The Kiniras is NOT a modern resort type bland hotel! Kiniras describe themselves as a traditional hotel, I do think that is a good descriptor. That brings a particular charm and experience.

Breakfast was nice, but not well designed, if there is a lot of people at once. Location is good if you are staying in centre and if you want to visit harbour, it is a pretty long walking distance especially if there is hot outside. All ameneties necessary is in room. One of the rooms was smoked :( Suitcases must bring to second floor ;) Or I didn`t find any elevator.

There was no one in reception upon our arrival and was feeling that nobody is waiting for any guests. House is old, do not expect things will be as in new designed hotel. But our overall experiance was nice.

Delicious breakfast, served outside in the garden, with many local products. Realy cosy hotel in a old building, so you could really feel the local atmosphere of Cyprus, but at the same time it had all the amenities, beds were very comfortable, room was small but had everything needed, and it was very clean. We had window to the garden to it was also very quiet.

Quite far away from the beach and old town attractions, but we knew that when we booked. There is a bus stop though just 2 minutes walk from the hotel so it was easy to quickly get to the centre.

About 5-min walk from the InterCity bus station, the hotel is an excellent location for those who are going to/coming from another city. It's also at a walking street so no traffic noise. Nicely decorated with a homey style. Complete opposite to those standard modern hotel you can really tell which is which. Everything is functioning (smooth wifi + hot shower with good water pressure). Clean and comfy. Good value overall. Great breakfast Polite and helpful staff, but they are more likely be found in the kitchen area than the reception area.

Hotel response to questions posting via the booking.com App is slow

We had a wonderful experience in this lovely traditional hotel at the heart of Paphos old town. The building is old, hasn't had many upgrades, but has been very well maintained. The vintage interior was awesome (beautiful paintings). The rooms were clean, comfortable, and the staff was amazing. George has been very helpful and friendly. He recommended nice places to visit and helped us plan our trips. Great ambience in the tavern area and garden where you can enjoy local food and wine; the breakfast offering was generous and tasty. Highly recommended hotel! Would definitely go back there!

Simple room but very good location if you want to be in the city center. Just remember that city center if Pafos is very small... It is about 20 minutes walk to the coast. Suitable for 1/2 nights travellers. Hotel is connected with very nice restaurant - local Cyprus food - very good quality. Definetely worth visiting! If you book on booking.com short time before coming it is good to check by phone that they count with you. Do not rely on booking confirmation only.

Not suitable if you plan summer holiday on the beach.

The place is situated at the heart of the city centre of downtown Paphos. It is an old mansion with large spacious rooms. Walking distance from all restaurants, cafés, shops. The manager Mr.George was of great help.

It has nothing to do with the hotel itself, but be aware: The public transportation between Paphos airport and Paphos city centre central bus station (only 200 m from the hotel) runs from 8.00 at the morning until 16.00 at the midday. The taxi drivers outside these hours will charge you 45-50 euro fixed price without taximeter from the Paphos airport to the hotel or 35 euro from the hotel to the airport. It is better to ask the manager of the hotel to arrange the pick up for a lower price.
