This is the 3rd time we have stayed at Hotel Bethel. Last time was 7 years ago. We found the location on Nyhavn a lot busier than in previous visits. There is now a bike lane right in front of the hotel and you must be very vigilant when on foot. It is the first time we've had a room that faced the street and it was really, really noisy! Previously we faced the back courtyard and I would not stay here again unless guaranteed the quiet side. The room is small but comfortable. The bathroom is quite tiny and even as a small person a bit awkward. Breakfast is good. There was a Rick Steves Tour there at the same time so it can feel a bit hectic at breakfast if a tour group is visiting.

It's just very busy in Nyhavn and any room facing either street is going to extremely noisy. I only survived by wearing earplugs and even those didn't help all that much.

Really nice rooms (we had to swap to a different room on last night), central location which could not be more convenient or attractive, and really warm, friendly and helpful Reception staff. They went out of their way to accommodate our needs. We felt well looked after.

Wish breakfast was automatically included as otherwise the price stacks up. Had one day as an extra and it was a very good continental buffet. But there were complimentary tea and coffees in communal area.

Location was perfect. Near everything and only a short walk to the metro that we took to go back to the airport. Everything was just mega convenient. Lots of cobble stones on pathways though which could be tougher if you are less able bodied (or like high heels!) I'm fussy about bed and this one was perfect! Two twins pushed together, but that's commonplace now I find. Lots of people have commented on the street noise but it was mostly the gentle burble of chatter. With the windows closed it didn't bother us at all. Photo at night was from bedroom window, room 121. If you go right out the hotel and across the bridge, there is a fantastic street food area. We tried the Tacos and Crepes, both excellent and much cheaper than many of the restaurants (which can be extremely expensive).

A few doors down, a building was being cleared....maybe an old hotel? And workman were throwing stuff around from 7am....think toilets and sinks being dropped into a skip.

The hotel is located right next to the Nyhavn canal and it is easy to reach all the main attractions of the city from here. The staff was very friendly and they upgraded us to a Superior room, which was much appreciated. The view from the room was beautiful, probably the best view you can have of the Nyhavn and all the picturesque houses along the canal. The room was a bit small but clean and the bathroom even had a heated floor which was a nice surprise during our stay in the winter. The breakfast was good as well. I definitely recommend Hotel Bethel.

Nyhavn is an ideal location in central Copenhagen! Walk to the subway and Stroget shopping district in under 10 minutes through this idyllic neighborhood of cafes and shops. While I did not expect plush comforts at this price...I paid hundreds less than other area hotels...the beds and linens were very comfortable, the room was immaculate, there were elevators, breakfast was available, and the staff was incredibly helpful. TV included at least one English channel, but I did not spend much time watching to find out how many.

The rooms are newly furnished, but are on the basic side. Also, our economy room did not have air conditioning, but that is probably common for Copenhagen. Still, the provided fan and window that opens was just fine.

Perfect location in the Nyhavn area which is right on a canal and close to many restaurants. Rooms were very nice with very comfortable bedding. Front desk staff were friendly and very helpful. Breakfast was excellent. Hotel was reasonably priced which was important for us considering everything else in Copenhagen was much more expensive than other cities in Europe to include food, transportation, attractions, etc.

Shower was kind of strange being a part of the bathroom but we were able to use it without flooding the bathroom.

It was our Best stay in city hotel (and we travel a lot!!!!!!) Beautiful area of the city. View magnificent. Cool design. Oasis of calm in one of the busiest parts of town. Close to everything. Super clean. Breakfast variety in best quality. Free coffee and tea served all day in the lounge with a big and warm smile. Above all, the people working, are trying their best for guests to have a good time. Bonus for us was the SANTA LUCIA parade under our room windows. Final, about the hotel's atmosphere: is not something you can see or count, it comes from the people's feeling about their work and in this hotel is top. Special thanks to Myriam for making our stay exceptional. For sure you will see us again.

Nothing. Our stay was very short!

We stayed for a one night layover between flights. Getting to the hotel from the airport was very easy via metro, and having the hotel right in the middle of Nyhavn meant we could easily walk to many restaurants and gorgeous attractions. We stayed in a very nice two bedroom suite which had comfortable beds and a stylishly designed bathroom. We included the hotel breakfast, which was very generous (a variety of pastries and breads, cereals, yogurts, juices, coffee & tea, etc.) and more than met our expectations. A very wonderful if short stay!

Nothing!

Located right at Nyhavn in front of the famous canal lined with rows of colourful old buildings now mostly functioning as restaurants and pubs where almost everybody visiting Copenhagen goes to for canal cruises, eating and drinking, people watching and taking pictures. Housed in historic buildings, the hotel's interior had been renovated with modern, clean designs while retaining its heritage marks. The room, despite being small, was cozy and the bed was comfortable. Our room had a nice view of the courtyard. No kettle and tea/coffee in the room but they were served for free at lounge next to the reception where we could relax a while. We saw a couple who bought takeaway dinner and enjoyed it at the lounge which looked like a good idea. Service was great.

Would have been nice to have a kettle with tea and coffee in the room. Would be good to have hot chocolate in addition to tea and coffee served at the lounge.
