Superb location! Gorgeous views from all the property. Close to beautiful, virgin beaches. Quiet and calm atmosphere. Friendly staff. Architecture and furniture take you back in time.

The food at the restaurant had mixed quality. Some dishes were really good and tasty; others are not up to the standards you would expect in this type of hotel.

Beautiful setting with its own small beach access to the sea. Very comfortable room with a view to the sea. A lovely property and hotel. Great breakfast. Close access to the town which had many restaurant options.

Lunch and dinner at the hotel were only ok - not bad, but they are trying to do too offer too many things. I think they would do better with fewer options done really well rather than lots of choices done ok.

As I told staff upon checkout, I've traveled extensively and stayed in many wonderful hotels around the world, but this one is at the top of the list. It is in an unbeatably beautiful location, the facilities are charming and clean, the food is consistently wonderful, and the staff is 100 percent warm and friendly. I cannot wait for my next visit. We had torrential rains during my stay which impacted the property, but the staff dealt with it all in the most professional and easygoing nature possible.

Amazing place with an incredible view... the different tones of the blue see, the sound of the waves, the beautiful well cared garden... good breakfast as well and nice employees... The perfect place to relax and recharge batteries.

The stand up paddle board should be fixed: without the rear fin it can be dangereous... you loose direction control and stability. To have an individual kayak would also be great. For the next time I come. Thanks!

The restaurant meals were delicious. The pool was nice. The restaurant staff was very friendly. The morning yoga was fantastic as well. The view from the room is perfect.

Reception staff was not friendly. Some of the water toys advertised were not available for use. Be careful to note if your rate includes air conditioning or not. Likely, it will not include a 10% air conditioning fee if reserving through booking.com

Villa Serena is a beautiful place, tastefully designed, with extraordinary sea, pool and garden views. Our room is quiet and spacious and has a large baloney overlooking the ocean. It is a perfect location for people who try to find an alternative to all-inclusive hotels. The Playa La Playita, 10 minute-walk from the hotel, is among the most beautiful beaches on the island. The hotel is also 7-10 minute-walk to the town Las Galeras, where one can find good restaurants and feel the vibrance of local life at night. I particularly enjoyed the free Yoga classes facing the ocean in the morning. Angelina, the Yoga teacher, is super amiable and helped us tremendously during our stay to communicate with the personnel (we don't speak Spanish). Overall, this has been a very pleasant stay. I highly recommend the hotel.

The restaurant is disappointing. From a French culinary perspective, I found the two dishes I ordered barely edible (squash carpaccio and seafood pasta). Curry chicken wrap for lunch is okay. All personnel at the restaurant, on the other hand, is extremely nice (as it is at the rest of the hotel).

hotel villa Serena is located in beautiful Las Galeras, Samaná. The hotel boasts stunning views and is very comfortable with large porches and windows. My husband and I came for our wedding anniversary and this was definitely the highlight of the trip as we made it all around the Samaná peninsula. the town of Las Galeras is lively but quaint, with great restaurants and a couple grocery stores and banks. It’s just a few minutes to walk or bike into town. The hotel staff were friendly and attentive, we felt well taken care of and enjoyed all of our experiences here. Booking accommodations through the hotel was easy, we went to playa Fronton (a must!) and the boat picked us up right at the private beach of the hotel!

Stunning view, healthful focus with daily yoga, massage and good food, friendly staff - esp. Bartender, restaurant, yoga teacher and Massage Therapist were wonderful. The facility has a nice scale and was well maintained.

I think you could do a better job conveying things to do in the area - there is a board of options that sits on the floor and could be improved/updated. The rooms are well cared for but aging.

There could be a bit more variety with respect to the breakfast. Everything we had was super fresh and delicious though.
