Quality hotel, good facilities etc Staff all very pleasant and helpful.

A) Being knocked up at 0815 Sunday morning by 'Housekeeping' asking what time we were leaving. We had a night flight and told reception we would be around until noon. B) Room 1510 Ugly black stains in the bath. Looked like a hair dye that was stubborn. Something could have been done to have removed it not a pleasant experience using bath/shower....

Is crazy that breakfast cost $25 dollars for person I travel a lot and I live in Orlando Fl close to Disney resorts a breakfast in the best Disney resort is about $15 dollars how is possible that in this hotel breakfast is $25 that doesn’t make any sense

Best hotel in Santo Domingo! Not my first time here and again it surprises with impeccable service. Tops: 1. Breakfast, everything fresh with variety of cheeses, salmon, and the gorgeous view on the sea 2. Rooms: spacious, well maintained and comfortable, have a bath tub, with amazing sea view 3. Reception: very quick and efficient 4. Lobby: amazing high ceiling lobby, with cool glass elevators 5. Pool area: again very cozy and with a nice view on the the sea 6. Location: not only it is near the sidewalk, but it is also near supermarket, banks and fast food options. I will be back again!

The room was squeaky clean and comfy. The breakfast was delicious, and I was surprised at everything we could pick from the buffet. The staff was really lovely and made sure we were having a great time, especially the staff at the buffet. Room Service arrived in a timely matter, and the food was good.

There was no price for the mini-fridge in the room, we considered having something from it, however, as we did not know the costs we only took a soda, which was double the price you could get outside. The pool is relatively shallow, I perceived it as a kid's pool sadly. There's a hold they make at the reception to cover any extra expenses, I do understand this is important but we were not informed of this before our arrival. The hold is released after checking out.

A mistake was made on my second night at catalonia,someone tried Opening my door,I said One moment please and when I got to the door no one was there. I went to the desk and was told that I was supposed to leave,the persons first name was exactly my first name , I tried explaining that to the person at the desk ,but I did not appreciate the way I was spoken to .. I felt really uncomfortable and returned to my room to obtain my receipt as proof of my payment in full and checkout date which was five days away.I later received a phone call apologizing for the mistake made because the system was down.This is the only part of my visit I didn't like and can't forget .

I can express how much I love the staff at Catalonia Santo Domingo. This was our second stay and they remembered us. It is like coming home. The Rooms are so comfortable and the beds, you could sleep 24 hours. Breakfast was wonderful, a full menu. with a egg cooking station. yum. The restaurant for dinner had a fabulous ambience, with the staff making sure we had everything we ordered. yummy again. I will always stay at the Catalonia when visiting Santo Domingo.

The system was down for most of our stay. We specifically said in the reservation that we could be there early, 2pm and were there but not given a room until after 3pm. Did not like having to pay for parking, this is just a away for the hotel to make more money. There was a roach in the bathroom. the shower was not very clean in the corners. The TV channel guide was not correct, we could not get CNN and had to call a Technician who said we could find it somewhere else.

The view of the ocean on both side of the room was amazing, the bed is super comfortable and so much space to move around. The staff are friendly and very helpful.

The aircon was incredibly loud, I was told there was a minibar (it was completely empty), the decor was quite dated. outside the traffic can get quite intense, very difficult to cross over to get closer to the sea.

Hotel location was perfect for my needs. The room was clean and comfortable, and staff were exceptional.

I was displeased that the Urban Lounge was closed, since I had no idea, it was under remodeling when I was booking the hotel and I found the food and drink prices too high compared to other high-end hotels in Santo Domingo which I have stayed at.
