We had a great stay at Anakato Nubian Experience! All the staff was so kind and helpful. Everything was clean and cozy! We also liked the private access to the beach with lounging chairs. We were also eating lunch and dinner here and it was delicious! The views are amazing. We highly recommend you to stay here! They also helped us booking tours to the Philae Temple and feluca sunset cruise.

No wifi but good for internet detox ahaha

I had a chance to stay the night in the Nubian village. I absolutely loved the experience - learning about the culture and lifestyle here and making many friends with the locals and staff of Anakato. I truly felt at home and was a bit sad to leave frankly! The food was also excellent and I adored all the colors in this town and hotel. Will definitely come back again :) if there was anything I needed the staff was there to help me. Try to go for new years if you can as there’s a big celebration. I sadly left 2 days before this. We were 'upgraded' to stay at Anakato KiKi as this guesthouse was under renovation - that is offshore on the tiny island right next door. The manager offered us free kayak and an upgrade of the room. Which is beautiful and comfy. The staff were excellent. Mohammed was our tour, whom walked us into the Nubian village and gave us detailed information and history about the Nubian village, and was with us as long as we needed him, and when we told him now we would like our alone 'romantic time', he politely left and even refused a tip. And he recommended the nicest kitchen in the village "Artika" - which is same owner as the one we stayed. And even went the extra mile in preparing a fully decorated table of lights and flowers for our 'romantic dinner'. Very sweet and thoughtful. The guesthouse was very ecclectic with hand painted walls from the local artisans. Rooms and beds are comfy and the service and food has been excellent. Highly recommend.

The taxi ride could be half the price.

The location was not far from the airport. It is truly ingrained and situated in the Nubian Village. It felt like we were getting an authentic experience with the architecture of the buildings, food served, and the employee hospitality. Take advantage of traveling by boat. This was an amazing experience riding through the Nile. Badr(Padro) was an amazing host. He really listened to what we wanted and offered great recommendations.

This quirky Nubian style hotel is a gem. It has its own beach at the Nile, very helpful staff and hands-down the best food we had on our journey in Egypt.

This was the first hotel of its kind in a Nubian village, that has now turned into quite a touristy bazar, but’s still a nice and relaxed place. The hotel could do a bit more to upkeep the less used areas of the property. We came in April and not many people used the beach so the berths and mattresses were rather dusty.

11/10 stars! Anakato had us feeling at home right away. The staff was so welcoming and friendly, charismatic and kind. The food was a delicious and a cultural experience. The kitchen and the boat tours worked easily around our schedule and delighted us with what they had to offer. I highly recommend their boat tour to Soheil Island, as well as to elephantine Island and the botanical gardens. The rooms are unforgettable - stylized and comfortable! We were happy with the cleanliness, especially the bathroom and sheets. The office was also very helpful when it came to organizing our trips in and around Aswan. I hope we will be back soon to stay at Anakato.

I didn't like that we only had 3 days in Aswan.. We could have been comfortable here for much longer 😊

place has great views on the area. its situated on the edge of the village and do you can easily make great walk to the near by nature there, or simply enjoy it from the balcony. the owner is very helpful and kind person

we found the village itself a bit too touristy (felt more like shops than a village...) but since the place is sort of on the edge of the village, it didnt bother us too much.

My friend and I stayed at Anakato one night. It is in a great location within the Nubian Village. Perfect for walking around the local shops and restaurants. We had the pleasure of meeting the owner who was very welcoming. All of the staff was so nice and happy to help. The room was clean and spacious with a beautiful view of the river. The only downside the hard bed which we had read prior reviews on. Honestly we were so tired we slept great! Overall I highly recommend staying here!

The bed.
