I love the location and the hotel is beautiful! The views are outstanding. Nice people, clean beautiful hotel, the best one in Aswan, if you ask me. The spa is also great!

The staff is quite fast... My room service arrived after 2 hours, so it did for many of my friends ( the fastest was 1.5 hours). I asked for an iron to iron my clothes, and they brought a broken one after 50 minutes and 4 phone calls. And the quality of the food, besides the lentil soup, was a bit over cooked

We're budget travelers who wanted to splash out for a night at the legendary hotel and we are so glad we did. The pool is fantastic, the staff very friendly and let us use the spa facilities before our check in time which, from a long, hot, walk from the train station was very welcome. The breakfast was delightful and the views 10/10. P.s. I think the staff are told not to accept tips as we tried a couple of times and seemed to upset people so be aware.

Food quality did not meet expectations on all occasions - not to standard for this level of hotel. Main restaurant - 1902 - inaccessible due to dress code - so forced to eat at ancillary restaurants and outdoor in the cold as not enough indoor space for all dining guests. Mass tours taking over resort and disrupting peace and privacy. Tech in room very dated. No hot water on one night. Service provision should be more integrated to ensure consistent customer journey - staff working in silos - too little then too much service. Issue at check out caused unnecessary poor last impression.

Excellent stay at the prestige suite with nile view! I booked the suite for the first night as my original plan was to get on the cruise the next day. However, there was a mix up with cruise date and the suite was not available for the second day at the time of booking so I booked the king's room which was $400 cheaper than the suite. When I was at the hotel, the staff offered me the suite for the 2nd day without charging the price difference! All staff were very friendly, the restaurants are magnificent. Will definitely stay here again when I'm back! Make sure you get a room with nile view, I literally just sat at the balcony admiring the river the entire afternoon haha. Breathtaking.

We are well travelled middle aged couple. The hotel had one of the best views. We stayed in a Nile ile view suite. The suite had the most beautiful bathroom and spacious, and the view of the Aswan nile view. The pool area has the best view and the staff around the pool and the restaurants were wonderful. Not the same for the female reception staff.

The female reception staff-all of them have some issues. Thye are not helpful or personable. This was shared by other guests we spoke to. What is going on here? Are they not happy ? Or do they think they are above the guests. On the contrary, all the male staff could not do enough for you. The bath in our beautiful bathroom did not work at all The bath did not fill up and they could not fix it. What a shame.

The entire stay was amazing , all staff are extremely friendly and knowledgeable .We were lucky to meet Ms. Marvel who made our stay marvelous .Visiting this hotel had been on my list for 8 years after watching the famous series and i admit I wasnt disappointed . Make sure to dine at 1902 it is beautiful. The hotel is indeed on the pricy side , if you can treat yourself then it is worth it :) .One of the best hotels I had ever stayed in and I had been to quite a few luxury hotels .

The one disadvantage is that eventually you have to leave :)

Besides the amazing history of the building itself, the customer obsession of the employees. The SPA was very nice. I like the room how cozy it was. Location is stunning with wonderful view. Swimming pool is well Services with nice team onsite. I enjoyed the Egyptian restaurant and the food was just delicious.

For me personally, I would like to see a broader selection of healthy food such as different seeds, nuts, berries, or fruits like mango or cut dry fruits. The same for the tea. I like a broad selection of different teas in good quality rather to get the standard teabag you find in average hotels.

We got upgraded to a suite. It was absolutely amazing. I had stayed at the Old Cataract before and was already expecting an amazing experience...I was still blown away by how gorgeous this hotel is. The old world luxury is just seeping through the place.

That we only spent one night there! The only other thing is completely beyond their control...mosquitos in the garden terrace/pool area. This should be expected given that it's literally on the banks of the Nile. There really is nothing I would change about this hotel.

I would like to say the pictures of the hotel are beautiful and great on the internet, but you have to experience this hotel in person. The wonderful staff from driving up to the hotel gates are amazing and classy. So where can I start with this dream vacation of me and my wife. The security team and Mr. Mustafa was courteous from the check-in. We later entered the beautiful garden and reception area and was greeted by Mohammed Khaled. He was the best and treated us well from the beginning of our visit until the last day. My wife became slightly ill on one of our day's visiting this historical hotel. He sent out help to retrieve the necessary medication so her and I can continue our dream vacation. It so many things to list but the great restuarant staff is top shelf. The great Chef Mr. Zackariya and staff entertained our taste buds with wonderful meals on our entire stay. We recommend visiting The Catarat Hotel and plan to visit again in the future.
