Sleep Inn

We have stayed at this Sleep Inn every August for the last 6-7 years. We attend a weekend event just outside Staunton, VA, and this hotel has become our "go to". It's not spectacular, e.g., no pool or hot tub, but it is clean, has a courteous staff, a good breakfast. Very functional and comfortable.

My only complaint -- there were no vegetarian friendly breakfast biscuits, i.e., all breakfast biscuits had meat on them. That is a MINOR complaint. There were waffles, boiled eggs, bagels and cream cheese, etc,; so, I had no problem finding nourishment.

Rooms were clean, comfortable. Beds and pillows were really comfortable and we did "sleep in". Staff was friendly, especially Jean who helped us. Interior had a modern look and they were actively updating the rooms. I'd stay here again.

Breakfast was not good. GMO Breakfast sandwiches to warm up in microwave... no thanks. You got a line of people waiting to nuke the food. They did have the waffle maker which was good though, but would be nice to see real Breakfast food. Also the time capsule shower was an interesting experience. Could use an update, it felt weird. Renovations on the 4th floor early in the morning were very loud and bothersom.

The staff was extremely friendly when we arrived. We were traveling with a dog. She gave Jan a dog treat and toy which was great. Our room was clean and comfortable. The little extras like coffee and food in the lobby was extremely nice. We had four pillows which was great for comfort. This was one of the nicest hotels I have stayed in for a long time.

There was nothing we did not like. It was a perfect place to stay, clean, and convenient with lots of unexpected extras which made the stay even better.

Everything went well; The staff was very helpful and pleasant. everything was clean and all the facilities in the room worked. That's pretty unusual these days no matter what hotel you select.

I can't think of anything I didn't like about the hotel. The booking.com listing online however led me to believe the hotel was in Waynesboro VA. when I was searching for hotels in that town.

Check in was fast and friendly, they have coffee and hot tea all day in the lobby They have several blends of tea available, many top brands The room was great, lots of pillows and good mattress. Small fridge and microwave in room. Breakfast had lots of options with a very nice hostess who even made the waffles for you! Would definitely stay here again

One of the lightbulbs was flickering but not a big deal

We were in town for a wedding so just looking for value priced lodging not a resort and that is just what we found here. Convenient location right off I81. Building itself is well kept and looks great when you pull in. Every staff person we encountered were friendly and helpful. Had an adequate breakfast and the area was very clean and staffed by very nice ladies . Room was clean and comfortable. We had a handicap accessible room with king bed.

We had no problems with this hotel

Everything was great. Love the coffee table and tea in the lobby. Could have had some more items for breakfast.

Was not anything to complain about. If I had to pick something, I would love the price to be cheaper. .but that's how things go. Lol.

This hotel looked almost brand new. Love the intimate lobby, the color palette throughout the property, and the choice of artwork. The bathroom was really well designed (ADA compliant, even though we don't need that), with two towel racks! That never happens. There was also an actual soapdish, which is rare. Most hotels we stay in just expect you to leave the soap on the counter in a puddle, which is aggravating. The pet fees were very reasonable, and it was easy to walk our dogs. There was an amazing restaurant almost across the street - Mrs. Rowe's. It was so good we had breakfast AND dinner there!

Breakfast. Since this pandemic has created so many problems, the food delivery just didn't happen the day we were there. Good thing Mrs. Rowe's restaurant was across the road!! There were no hooks in the bathroom, but I can forgive that for the extra towel rack and soapdish. The closet was a challenge for anything long, such as my coat. The hangers were those hotel pin/bracket type, which was a bit frustrating.

The staff was pleasant and the room was clean.

The bathroom was very cramped. You couldn't open the shower door fully. So when getting out of the shower you basically knock into the toilet or the door to the room. The free breakfast left a little to be desired. They only had waffles and microwavable items.

Breakfast was ok but would have been nice to have a hot selection. Small area to congregate in. Would have liked an earlier start up than 7 AM but driving with light is nice. Food service Area was impeccable clean and woman attendant was well in control in her domain. Ample parking and nice location to gas stations. My requests were honored for my room. Room was exceptionally well cleaned. Shower was one one best I 've used with appropriately placed safety grab bar. Nice location to access I-81.

Entry drive up was a little small affording only one car at a time. Would have been nice to have an additionally chair to sit. Room was small but in no way lacking amenities of something comparable.
