Room was amazing. Staff at the main reception and upstairs in the rooms were so friendly and helpful. Delicious breakfast. Loved our stay.

Paying for parking separately is an annoying extra charge. Husband had to leave swimming pool reception to get 3e for a swimming hat for me and 1e for the lockers. We had just carried our baby down to the pool and it was an added stress having to run back to the room. Haven't experienced payment lockers in four and five star hotels and I would have liked to have been able to settle bill for swimming hat later. We were under pressure timewise with breakfast slot and felt it was a little ridiculous.

Near to the centre of town. The leisure facilities were excellent especially the outdoor hot tub. The breakfast the best I’ve ever had in a hotel.

I absolutely 💯 loved the spa and sooo worth the pampering, and I will definitely be returning for more of just that. I can't compliment Orla enough. Beautiful hotel and fabulous atmosphere over 24th and 25th for family Christmas 🎄 Arthur (Spanish guy) was so friendly and went out of his way each day to greet me and always asked how I was getting on, if I needed anything, always smiling, this really makes a difference and is what hospitality should be all about. Great space to relax around the lobby. I didn't really get to try food here beyond breakfast, which was fabulous, huge variety, so many fresh baked goods and much more 5*

The room was a good size and had everything that I needed. Since I was there for four nights, I was glad to have a lot of storage for everything. The staff was very helpful. Sinéad and the housekeeping staff did a wonderful job taking care of my room when I needed it. When I had no soap for the shower, someone came in with a new bottle right away. I paid for the breakfast buffet in my room price (it's 20€ otherwise), and it was really good. They had a nice buffet with a selection of hot and cold food. You could also order other items, such as pancakes and omelettes. The location is fantastic. It's across from Galway Ceannt train and bus station and within easy walking distance of Eyre Square, the Aran Island Ferry, and all the great shops, attractions and restaurants in town.

The double bed in my room was actually two single beds together. As a result, the bed was not as comfortable in the middle. My room also didn't have much of a view. Just a sparse looking patio with a workshed.

Nicole, the manager made our stay bearable. We were given a non AC room. First manager we spoke with asking for a room with AC told us NO and if we don't like it we can leave but we will be charged for the full 4 nights we had booked. The next day, after discussing the situation with the booking company, a different manager, Nicole (Brown?) arranged for a room with AC, apologized for any inconveniences, provided a couple of free drink vouchers and couldn't be more nice and professional. Kudos and accolades with our thanks. This was primarily due to an omission on the website not indicating that some rooms didn't have AC. Had we known, we would have booked a different venue or made certain to book one of the rooms that had AC. Even in those rooms the AC was nearly performing. While a hot several days, not having a well functioning AC is not acceptable in a four stars hotel. Otherwise, the hotel, while it can stand some renovations, it meets the four star designation. Location is great and the parking garage are great.

The breakfast was delicious , the staff were very friendly .we recieved an upgrade as it was our Anniversary and this was greatly appreciated. I would definitely stay here again and reccomend it to others.

We dined in the restaurant on the first night of our stay , although the food good we couldn't enjoy it due to the restaurant being freezing cold. The temperature in the room was so cold that myself and my husband ate our meal with our jackets on and so did many others around us. This was because of a fault in the heating system according to staff. This is understandable yet we weren't offered any discounts or complimentary drinks for our troubles nor were we warned about the heating situation prior to our visit to the restaurant.

The rooms were modern, clean and spacious (had my 3 year old with my). I’m quite picky with where I stay and I felt so comfortable and content. They had a still, sparking and ice machine on the floor your on too, so you didn’t have to go to reception or wait for room service for a drink which was brilliant. The staff in the bar were so nice and accommodating. The terrace out the back was stunning especially with the sun to sit out for a coffee or lunch. Location was perfect a 3 minute walk to the centre. Buffet had a wide range of choice. My parents had a room too and loved it.

They have a swimming pool which is great but half of the pool is designated to people swimming lengths. It did have a small section for babies to sit in but for bigger kids the pool wasn’t extremely child friendly and a bit on the cold side. Breakfast is 20 which is expensive if your only looking for a bowl of porridge or something small but the selection was great to be fair! None of these things majorly effected our stay and we will still come back!

Beautiful hotel, second time staying at the Galmont. First time on the 5th floor, this time on the first floor. Check in was quick, room was ready early which was a plus. Friendly staff in all departments. Food was delicious, drinks were great too. Room was a good size, bed was very comfortable. Spa was fantastic, excellent treatment from Caoimhe. We enjoyed our stay and will be back.

Took me an embarrassingly long time to figure out how to switch on the shower. Expected to have robes in the room but there were none. There was a wedding on when we stayed and the music could be heard very clearly in our room (as expected on the first floor). The bathroom fan was very loud. We were very glad we brought ear plugs.

The hotel is very comfortable and situated on the water. The location is perfect for travels to easily explore Galway by foot. No need for a taxi to get around. The bus station is a block away. The bed was so incredibly comfy, the room was spacious and quiet.

It was all lovely but the staff was not as friendly as the other hotels in Ireland travels. They would answer questions but it always seemed like we were bothering them. Seemed different reception than other places we stayed. Just an observation after spending a few days there. But the Galmont is a lovely, central hotel in Galway.

The hotel was so close to the city centre. Literally a 5 minute walk to Eyre Square. The staff were so lovely, especially Lisa on reception. She was so accommodating and helped us with anything we needed on check in and check out. The hotel itself was beautiful and the room was lovely. Bed was super comfy. So happy that the bathroom came with full size bottles of shampoo and body wash instead of the tiny travel size bottles. Food was great in the restaurant also. All in all, the hotel was great.

The only downsides were that the pillows were extremely soft, and even with two, my head was still practically touching the mattress. So, no support. Also, we waited about 25 minutes for our cocktails at dinner and ended up having to take them to our room as our food was gone by the time they came.
