Best Western Premier Park Hotel

Great location. Appreciated the windows(!), beautiful view of the Capitol but NO street noise! (and windows opened!). Nice suite, Comfy bed. Mini-refrigerator. Updated bathroom. Loved the complimentary UW cookies.

These are minor—- Bar/restaurant seemed understaffed, at all times— morn, noon, night- very understandable given Labor Day weekend, farmers market, taste of Madison, UW football game. Having to wait at the restaurant forever to pay for a few coffees to get quickly on the road in the morning- not great. Most people are paying $300+ per night, seems to be nickel and diming your guests, may want to consider offering complimentary coffee and even bottled waters.

The location on the Square in Madison is hard to beat. The hotel is clean and well done throughout. The room was comfortable and well appointed. Being across the street from the Tornado Club steakhouse is a bonus.

So much! The location to the event I was attending was just 1/2 block away, the room was clean and QUIET, the beds were comfortable, the staff were fantastic, and they had the room ready early so we could head right to the event and not have to come back to check in. It was a great stay!

We went down for a continental breakfast since the restaurant was closed but they had run out by the time we got there at 9:30 am.

Probably the best hotel stay we have had had: clean, comfortable, everything we needed. All details are tended to. I loved the lemongrass toiletries and the comfy robes. I was in a top floor view room with a full front view of the Capitol building. The Farmer's Market is right outside the door, as are great restaurants and more. Campus and State Street are just steps away. There is no better location to stay in Madison ...

It's pricey, but worth the convenience and location. Really. Treat yourself. No car, Uber or taxi needed. Everything is walkable.

I only stayed there for 2 nights, but my whole experience was good. The room was spacious, quiet, and clean, and the staff was nice and very helpful. I arrived several hours earlier and they gave me the room without me even asking. I was carrying several bags and I was given a trolley before I had made the check in or asked for help. I also used the shuttle to the airport and they were very accommodating too. They were very helpful and nice my whole stay.

Location was great. Friendly staff. Large pool (although very cold), clean room with fridge abs microwave was a plus. Modern decor.

The pool was freezing which was disappointing for me and my son. No jacuzzi which was disappointing considering there is so much space next to the pool. Water pressure in shower was so low. There was a high pitched noise (sounded like it was coming from the pipes) which was irritating when we were in our room. No breakfast offered. Coffee and granola bars and muffins were nice but I’m used to a better breakfast when staying at Best Western.

A couple of water bottles would have been nice. You had one excellent polite and charming man running the entire breakfast service, from hosting, serving, cooking, busing to making coffee. I know it's hard to get workers, but I hope you are paying him well for doing five jobs and making it look seamless on a busy morning after the inaugural ball.

The room was stunning with views of the lake and the State Capitol. We were given the suite on the 9th floor, which was an unexpected upgrade and very special for us. We were dropping our daughter at the University of Wisconsin for her freshman year, and the spectacular room provided a dazzling view which helped us learn about and fall even more in love with Madison. The hotel's location across from the Capitol is ideal, and the building was notably attractive, and a prominent part of the exciting architecture -- old and new -- along the city blocks that flank the Capitol building.

We did not have sound for certain television channels (i.e. the US Open). A towel rack in the otherwise sensational bathroom popped right off the wall. And, there were two modern (minimalist chrome) floor lamps in the suite that did not go on, and, sadly, they were the only source of light in the evening in the front part of the suite. When we called for assistance, two different hotel maintenance people came. They were flatly mystified by the lamps. We never could turn them on, and one maintenance person asked my husband if they were his lamps. Quite funny. My husband said, "If they were mine, they'd be on." Nonetheless, we were fine, and still very content.

My husband went to the website for the hotel itself and found the same room for $180. He called the hotel and was told that they were entirely booked. He could cancel with booking.com and then re-book directly with them but he might then loose the room in between canceling with booking.com and re-booking with the hotel directly. We were not offered any discount. During our stay we saw many rooms with a cleanliness label taped across the door job of rooms that were not occupied. Jessica was the staff member that my husband spoke with about getting the $180 rate. We do not feel that Jessica was honest with us and could have given us the $180 rate.

The location was perfect. It's so nice to be right downtown and in walking distance of so many restaurants and right on the square. The check in process was so easy, and everyone was so friendly that worked there. The beds were very comfortable and the pool area was so clean and nice.
