We just stayed in Tulum for two nights. Hotel design was lovely & rooms contemporary & clean. The rooms are small without opening windows which we did know about already. The best part of the hotel is the fantastic rooftop pool & bar/restaurant which was a lot bigger than I expected & lots of beds & space. We had never been to Tulum so wasn’t sure where to stay, in the town or by the beach. The beach area definitely has a lot more going on & is expensive to get to by taxi ($40 avg) but what we saved on staying at Motto we spent on going to a beach club/taxis/restaurants etc. The area is growing fast & the hotel is in a newly built bit with shops & cafes. The cafe next door is fantastic for breakfast. They also offered free bike hire for 24hrs, just 1 per room. Easy to cycle to the main public beach & the ruins. The hotel zone with all the restaurants is a bit further.

The rooms are very small for 2 people & the bathrooms open to the rooms. The shower leaked into the toilet next door.

Very modern clean hotel, access to a great gym and rooftop pool. Overall loved the aesthetic! Walking distance from Tulum Centre which is great but need to get a taxi to the beachfront which was around $30-40 one way!

Super small rooms for 3 people with no proper doors on the shower or toilet - you can hear/see everything! Also no mirror in the rooms. The staff were quite rude at times, demanding tips when we ordered drinks etc - felt quite uncomfortable

José, Morena and Sofi at the reception were super helpful and friendly. made us always feel comfortable and helped with reservations. the rooftop is super cool. security guards also so helpful with making sure we could safely lock up our bikes. Bathroom towels were great and the beds super comfy despite being a loft bed.

Heritage pork Tacos at the rooftop bar were not so delicious. but the rooftop made all of it worth it. also it wasn‘t too expensive :)

Great location. In walking distance from many restaurants and supermarket. You can also bike to the public beaches easily from this location. The hotel is new and modern. It's absolutely gorgeous. When you think of tulum aesthetics, Motto should come to mind. It's all earth tones, beautiful pottery, baskets, hammocks, and modern furniture. Downstairs of the hotel also has some shopping. It's simply amazing 10/10

Rooms are small and bathroom set up is weird. If you are a solo traveler or a couple then it wouldn't be an issue but if you're planning to share a room with a friend like I did you definitely need to be comfortable enough with each other to change in front of them. The room was still beautiful despite its size.

Great location, rooftop with pool was amazing and very comfortable. Delicious restaurant and cocktails on the rooftop and the staff working there were lovely and so attentive. Very modern hotel and extremely clean.

Small bedroom with not much space, bathroom set up was a bit weird as it’s part of the room and not very private. We didn’t realise there was an extra fee daily when you checked in which increased the price a lot. It includes some benefits but you don’t get your value for money. The bike rental situation is stupid as it only allows one bike when I feel it should be two allocated per room.

Aldea Zama is very lively and close to the hotel zone. Breakfast was amazing but it’s extra charge. Some of the staff were friendly and helpful and made sure I was ok everyday because I was alone.

Elevators are slow. Some of the female staff were not nice & English not so good. I tried to book a private shuttle through them and after confirming the price on the morning, they confirmed a totally higher price in the evening so I felt I was being fooled. They should be working with more reliable shuttle companies or taxi drivers. You could hear other people in the rooms around, I mean could easily Shazam a song that was played from the room next door!!

Location is half way between Beach and Downtown. Roof top pool area is stunning with a great gym facilities. New development and in a new new shopping distract. Within the Hunab district there is a lively courtyard and multiple shops. Alma Verde and Campanella across are both must try’s.

The rooms are a little too small, good for a few nights or if you are out and about all day. Some the bed linen was not so clean and also the towels had stains, which is a shame as ai expected more from a Hilton chain. Also the ground floor room close to a laundry room had a weird noises from the pipping system which was quite annoying. Would have been great if there was a kettle in the room to make a hot drink.

This is a perfect hotel to spend a few days in Tulum. It is located in the middle between the beach and Tulum pueblo. You get 1 bike for free per reservation. The staff is the best. Very friendly and doing their utmost to make your stay pleasant. Quality of the food is also good. You even get a voucher of 10 USD or 10% discount which you can use on whatever you are consuming. The best rooftop pool ever! On the last day of our holiday we could stay as long as was needed and freshen up before we left.

The room was a bit small, but we knew that when we booked. We only stayed 2 days in Motto, so it didn’t”t bother us. Even though the hotel has good sound insulation you could hear some construction work.

We loved our stay here! It’s really good value for money as the hotel is stunning. The rooftop area is perfect! There’s lots of facilities nearby which we made use of. The staff are all really friendly too!

I’d say our only drawback for the property is the small rooms - they’re definitely liveable with, but when we moved to a different property for the second part of our stay we realised just how much it really felt small. But I’d say this is reflected in the price so we really didn’t mind too much.

The rooftop was absolutely fabulous. The jim facility was flawless they also had an outside green top area on the rooftop for outside exercise excellent. The check-in was seamless. They also welcomed me with a non-alcoholic fresh fruit drink in a sugar glass rim perfect. The outside area of the hotel is absolutely fabulous. There are sitting areas all over with a beautiful bar in the middle. the facility is fabulous. shout out to my bell person. Karen karen was absolutely amazing when she welcomed me in the hotel. The hotels interest for cars is underneath. She welcomed me and took my bags in was fabulous.

I was inquiring about a shuttle pick up point that was near the hotel. I showed a front desk male representative. The locations that I could've gotten picked up from. He claimed that none of them were near the hotel. I went ahead and booked a shuttle. Upon further investigation I found out that there was an actual pick up point closer to the hotel. This would not have made a difference however, it cost me well over $100 due to this miss information. I would suggest that front desk representatives are a little bit first in locations near the facility.
