Location!!!!

The room I was in was facing the street. The noise of traffic snd sirens in the morning was deafening.

The location of the hotel was perfect. It was in close distance to all the areas of Annecy was wanted to visit. We loved being directly across from the canals. The staff were helpful and kind. We were happy that we were able to bring our cat along for our stay. The hotel was modern and quiet. The shower pressure was enjoyable.

Our family room was very small for two adults and a child. We could barely move past the desk when the cot was extended and there was a large door in the hallway that we had to open every time we needed to access the bathroom. The door was a hindrance during our time in our room. Most of the channels on our TV did not work. I recommend more international channels or at least the option to add more languages are available for subtitles, not every guest speaks French. The breakfast was not to our standards.

This was our third or fourth stay at Le Splendid. Obviously, we like it very much. The location is superb, parking is very close by and discounted for hotel guests, the rooms are clean and comfortable. Breakfast is good. The hotel design is pleasing. Did I mention the staff? They are all excellent. We would like to compliment and acknowledge Charlotte in particular. She is very welcoming and a tremendous asset to Le Splendid. We look forward to our next stay.

If we could have turned the heat up higher than 3 degrees from the base. The weather turned cold while we were there. However, we recognize the environmental policy of the hotel and support them in this.

I had superior double room. I was very happy there was cooling in the room bc outside it was BOILING. Room was nice and new looking, bathroom spacious and neat. Lots of soap to use. Happy to have proper walls and doors in an era where lot of hotels have aquariums for toilets. Not far from a clear waters beach to swim, and lots of restaurants very close Front desk lady was very pleasant to talk to. (20th-21 of august)

I wish breakfast had more options, or, better quality. I ofcourse had enough to eat, but i didnt enjoy some of the items sadly. (taste wise) Some very small fixable stuff, like shower faucet was a little off and one light was about to go off. Typical stuff almost all hotels have.

The location of the hotel was excellent for old town lake and train station. It had a modern up to date interior. A buffet breakfast with lots of choice. Staff were generally friendly. Zhara in the dining room was particularly helpful.

Although our room was supposed to have a lake view which I paid more for, the window was very small. The design of the room was such that the wardrobe was partially across the window. Replenishment of tea and towels was hit and miss over the four days we were there, but front desk were helpful when asked. Eggs and bacon were poorly cooked but there were plenty of other options however didn’t feel it was worth €20 each. In the dining area there was no hand gel and communal spoons were used for serving preserves also no cloth on the bread.

Staff at the reception were very friendly, didn’t get their names but a lady (think she spoke Thai) and one gentleman (who kindly sent us some ice when my husband sprained his ankle) were particularly lovely. The family room was big, much bigger than rooms we stayed in other hotels in Annecy. Bed was huge and comfortable. They also provided nice pillow and blanket for our baby. We even received a Christmas present as we stayed over Christmas! Overall, exceeded expectation and we will stay in this hotel every time we visit Annecy

Nothing, room appeared very clean but our baby’s socks got dirty after walking around in the room, so maybe the floor needs better cleaning. But really, no major complaints.

We had room 103 with a balcony. Nicely furnished and clean room, carpet, walls, etc. Bathroom nicely decorated. Loved the complimentary items in the room fridge and the Nespresso. That was a plus. Reception was very attentive and efficient. And so was the bar. We didn't have breakfast because we had the hotel breakfast for last two weeks. Comfortable bed. Nice bathroom amenities and towels.

The street noise was bothersome at times, but we slept well with patio door shut. (Police, ambulance, motorcycles). Would have appreciated glass cups, etc. for a classy hotel

The location was great, very central. Set down parking outside door & the parking in the underground public car park very close by at hotel du ville at a reduced rate.The staff were excellent check in & out very slick. Hotel had modern decor & was clean.Great wifi.

The bedroom was very small & cosy for 2 people, I had booked a lake view room however the trees across the road had grown so big there was no view of the lake ( tree view!!). Like the room, the balcony was tiny, in fairness the balcony wasn’t mentioned in the booking so was an added bonus.The room itself had nice modern decor & was clean but small.

The location of the hotel is brilliant, just a few minutes walk from the lake and the Old Town. Nothing seemed to be very far. We also walked from the railways station which shows how close it was. Our room was at the back of the hotel with a poor view over lower rooftops but the room was well appointed and very comfortable. The lighting was imaginative and effective.

I personally felt the pillows were too hard, although my wife felt they were fine. The bar area is a part of the breakfast room and suffers because of it. I looked in at the end of the evening for a drink and was put off by the overall appearance which looked like a 'breakfast bar'. There's nothing wrong with it, it just need some more sympathetic styling to make it attractive.

The receptionist, whose name I believe was Jacques, was extremely helpful. He went out of his way to help me secure bus tickets after first discovering (to his surprise) that there were no trains to Geneva on Friday morning. He gave us a lot of his time and was always most friendly and patient. The beds were super comfortable.

The shower is a little difficult to use for someone who is about six feet tall (1.83 meters). In fact, the bathroom as a whole is a little small.
