I slept in a dorm for a very low price but it felt more like a luxurious hotel! Nice sheets and pillows, lots of privacy in the cabins, a shelf with electric sockets, even a bedlamp with soft light (like everything has been thought of). The room had amazing windows from floor to ceiling, the bathroom was huge (even rain shower and normal shower), the toilet was separate from it (which is great). Rooftop terrace with swimming pool was amazing (I considered facilities like this out of my price range so I felt very lucky). You are not pressured to keep ordering there at all, you just walk up to the bar if you want something. The view was amazing, friendly staff. So basically positive about everything.

The staff was great and really polite to start. The room was small but very cosy with a great attention to details, I really loved it! I really appreciated that kettle and coffee machine was available 24/7 (however, the coffee machine wasn’t working that day…) It is also very well located (only 5/10 minutes walking from the train station).

The only negative point is that the room wasn’t soundproofed. I had view on the train tracks and despite the double glazed windows, it was quite noisy. So if you want a quiet stay, I guess you can ask for a room opposite the train tracks.

JOST was amazing. The room was on the smaller size, but not a problem if you don't have a lot of luggage. The bed was comfortable, there was accessible lighting everywhere, there was tea and coffee outside the room in the hallway. Everything was clean and well-lit, with big windows. The WC was in the room but separated by a door and the shower was also in the room, big enough, with good water pressure. They had many really good options for breakfast (10-15€ extra charge). The staff was really nice and accommodating, helping us with keeping our luggage before we had to leave. It was very close to the train station (~10' walking) from where you could get a tram or a bus to take you in the city. There's not much to do around the area of the hotel, but you could easily get around. I chose JOST because it seemed like a place with personality and it lived up to all my expectations. I'd definitely return.

Close to the main train station and close enough to the rest. The area is still being built up when I was there, but I love what they are trying to do there. The hotel has style. The rooms are sound proofed, creative, there was a Marshall speaker to listen to music, there were books on the shelves, there was a free coffee and tea bar just outside the room. There is a co-working space on the ground floor, a rooftop with a little pool.

If you know that the area around the hotel is still being built then there is not much to be disappointed about. I do not really understand why it is expensive, both the hotel and the in house restaurant (€15 sandwich on the rooftop). This is not Paris.

If you have a car it’s super near the center (5min). The hotel is beautiful, breakfast is good, the staff is amazing!! They have a pool, that unfortunately was on maintenance, but I’m pretty sure is back to normal. So you can still enjoy the sunny days at the pool. Cool decoration.

It’s a brand new hotel but there’s already some damage, one of the shower heads didn’t work, who designed the room forgot that doors are not supposed to open against each other. The restroom was extremely small, so we had to keep the door open when inside, and if you open the door of the room and there’s someone one the restroom the doors will clash. But those are just details. Apart from that it’s a beautiful hotel and worth the stay!

A hotel with a great value for money. Modern facilities and a very unique room with a cozy design (although not all aspects of it are positive). Terrace with a bar and rooftop pool, perfect for the late afternoon or evening. Coffee/tea areas in the hallways of the rooms, with free access. This hotel has the potential to become even better overall.

The location is not the most central, but it doesn't compromise a day filled with city exploration, and it still has good accessibility. Regarding the room, despite its positive aspects, the space allocation is poorly done in my opinion, making it less practical due to limited storage space. The sink is located within the room itself, while the toilet is in a separate mini compartment, and the shower is also separated. A strong negative point is the absence of a refrigerator in the room, which is almost inconceivable in an otherwise globally positive hotel and was greatly missed.

I loved the aesthetic of the property. Very clean and such an energetic place. The staff were lovely and helped out as much so they could, even with a language barrier. There were little tea and coffee stations on each floor, which you could help yourself too, that i thought was a lovely touch. The room was very clean and had a HUGE TV. Our rooms were cleaned daily with fresh, new towels and the view that we had was nice. Very comfy beds and there’s a little water station in the room too which was a lovely touch.

The property is three months old, which is lovely, but there’s not really anything around the area where you can grab food unless you order or walk into the city centre near the train station. The walk is around 10-15 minutes so it’s not bad at all. It’s just full of construction but im sure it’ll look lovely in a few months time. Another thing was the steep stairs in the room. My mom had the top bunk bed and struggled to get down because of how little this step was to get down and vertical they were and ended up falling at one point because there wasn’t much to grab on to. Other than that, there’s nothing much I can say that’s bad about the place.

Staff were lovely and spoke great English as our French is little to none although we try. We arrived 9.30pm with resursnt open until 10pm however still able to get a great dinner. Room had everything needed and was a good size. They had a communal coffee water area on each floor which saved space and meant you didn't waste or us for the sake of it.

Breakfast was served from 7am however when we arrived at 7.20am there was no one there to speak to, another family came down and my husband had to go searching yo find someone. It also seemed as though they had not got everything out as there were so hot pans empty. As we payed and were unable to wait around this was a little annoying.

Excellent location. This hotel is rated 3 star but its more like 4 star. The staff are amazing (shout out to Elaine at reception and Valentine at the bar - although all the staff were brilliant). Nothing was too much trouble. Very close to the main train station / tram line / bus stop. Rooms were huge and spotless. Couldn't fault it. Would highly recommend anyone travelling to Bordeaux to stay here. Thank you, we had a wonderful visit.

Restaurant was closed the two nights we were there which was unfortunate. It wasn't really a problem as there are restaurants a few minutes walk away.

Quirky place with retro/vintage theme was fun, and it offered a big range of facilities - including a lounge bar, rooftop, pool, restaurant and outdoor spaces. Super convenient to train station and it was quiet.

I didn’t hear of any events being run while I was there. The corridors, lift and restaurant had a sewer/methane smell - which is a worry if the building is so new! (Pipes broken?) As the area is still new/under construction and therefore isolated I didn’t walk around alone at night. A really sick child was allowed inside the breakfast buffet who was coughing on everything.
