The hotel was very chic had very nice decor and very environmentally conscious. Each room was given a large glass bottle of water which could be refilled at the filtered water station on level 1 and 3. Hotel is conveniently located directly opposite the station and tram, and there’s also a cafe across the alley. The room faced away from the main road so it was extremely quiet throughout the stay. There is no bar fridge in the room, but if you need to keep anything in the fridge eg medication the staff is will be able to arrange for it to be kept in the hotel fridge. Overall it was a very comfortable stay.

What a perfect place to stay! Everyone is so kind and helpful, the place is immaculate and the design so pleasant, the location is the best, especially if you want to be environmentally conscious and use public transport. I stayed in the least expensive room and had the sleep of my life with the sunlight instead of windows, it didn't even matter, you're there for that gorgeous city and a great sleep, no? Waking up to a beautiful breakfast, nice people, transport and life brimming outside? This Mecure is a gem.

If you had a makeup mirror in the bathroom I'd move in.

Convenient to train and tram. Loved the spacious room, large and clean bathroom. Comfortable beds and bedding. Good lighting, nice big television. Nice helpful staff. Lived having a window that opens for cool night air. We chose a room in back so it would be quiet.

The first room we were given smelled of cigarette smoke, even though it’s a non-smoking hotel. They easily changed rooms for us. The carpeting in hall and rooms was frankly ugly, would be a nicer experience if carpet were upgraded. But that’s a minor complaint. Breakfast was fine, but as we came in 30 minutes before end if breakfast the sausages were all dried out and no bacon or eggs left. The nice woman attendant made me fresh eggs for me and was very attentive. Breakfast was included, good coffee, had yogurts, cereal, pastries bread etc so had a nice neal before my train.

The hotel is conveniently located next to the main train station of Bordeaux. From here one can take direct shuttles or public buses to the airport, making the departure very relaxed. One can also reach the centre with a 20min walk or 10min by public transport, which is also at your doorstep. The reception is 24h which helps a lot with travel planning. The rooms and the facilities were spotless and very confortable. The bathrooms looked recently renovated and were very clean and pretty. Would recommend for sure.

The price of the breakfast was a bit steep but I am sure it was worth the money.

The location of the hotel was very good - it was opposite the station. The trams to the main tourist area were very close. Check in was fairly simple. The room was a good size with air-con. Cold drinking water was provided. The shower room was clean with shower gel and hand soap provided. The self-serve breakfast was good.

There was nobody available to help with the coffee machine so we had to go to an office to ask. The person who came to help was rather brusque unlike the friendly receptionist.

Staff - In particular Laura was an excellent, friendly, and useful hostess. She delivered a smooth check-in with necessary details presented in both French & English, our bags were brought up from post check-out storage in advance of when she expected us back at the hotel, allowing swift exit to Gare St Jean on the other side of the road. Additionally, she very kindly provided a room upgrade. Breakfast - tasty buffet with great selection of cereal, pastries, jam, fruit, cooked items, and coffee. Don’t miss the canelés! Location - brilliant, directly opposite Gare St Jean but tucked just enough down a side street to be secluded from the hustle & bustle Room - lovely modern room with plenty of amenities. Nespresso machine with coffee capsules was well received, as was the powerful air conditioning. Comfortable medium firm mattress and soft pillows.

While the provided refillable bottles were a nice touch, it was tricky to refill them on 1st/3rd floor when room cards seemingly only allowed access to the floor the room was on - although this was accessible by the staircase.

Lovely room with roof view and a window you can actually open! Literally opposite st Jean's railway station. Very good restaurant, easy to jump on the tram to go everywhere and super helpful and happy staff.

Nothing to complain about. It would be helpful for the concierge to have more info re wine tours outside of Bordeaux.

no lounge area to have a drink or coffee-this are appeared to be a staff working/ office area. Only place was restaurant. Not the right environment/ambiance. Room a bit stuffy overnight(-my fault-could have opened the window…,,) But these were very minor things.

Very solid hotel, comparable to the nicer Marriott Hotels in the US (JW Marriot Comes to Mind). Extremely convenient location right next to the train station, while still prioritizing what matters (clean rooms, comfortable beds). The standard room we had was surprisingly large, complete with a sitting area and private balcony.

There was nothing I outright disliked about this hotel. For this price, it was perfect. The service is less hands on, but I am totally willing to make that compromise again for the rate we paid.

Very modern and clean, comfy bed and quiet, great location for the train station and trams to get around town. Good breakfast choices including dairy and gluten free options. On-site team were all pleasant.

Room too warm overnight and temp fixed at 21. Buffet breakfast expensive at 18 euros each.
