Hôtel Turenne

Rooms near the city center of Colmar (10 minute walk), hotel with elevator. Air conditioning worked great and was already on when we entered our room. Shower had good water pressure. Staff was great, I spoke with them in English and French and service was the same. We were having an issue with our rental car, and so were in the parking too late and hanging out in the lobby for hours (waiting for a tow truck... then another...). Staff were very understanding of our situation, and we were able to leave on the day of our check-out, just several hours later than check-out.

Parking is an extra fee.

It is a fine hotel, obviously renovated inside. We had a pretty spacious room with a large bathroom. Located to the inner garden, completly calm. Lift new as well as the bright garage. Staff friendly and competent. Buffet-Breakfast, delicious. The building is only about 500 meters away from Petite Venice which is the center. And not to forget: Despite we were so near to the center of Colmar, we could easily go outside to the surroundings by car. No need to pass the city center.

No, everything was fine.

It was my third stay at Hôtel Turenne and everything was great. I came by train from Basel and in 15-20 min from Colmar Train Station I arrived at the hotel. The small double room was great for 2. I appreciated the kettle and the tea in the room. In 10 minutes you are in the historical center of Colmar, in 5 minutes you are at the Marché Couvert Colmar, near the hotel are some Boulangeries so the hotel is located close to everything you want. The staff was kind and helped us store our luggage for some hours after the check-out.

Well situated hotel, short walking distance to the old town area, very quiet at night. Our room was large, had comfortable beds with good bed linen, and a pretty view. The air conditioner worked very well (we were there in 30 degree weather and the room stayed cool at night). Buffet breakfast has both warm and cold items and a good variety. We also enjoyed the bar area for a night cap before going to bed.

The air conditioner was effective but it was quite noisy, and the room’s carpet had an unpleasant odour. Finally, not the hotels fault but Colmar is a small town and lacks taxis; we had reserved ahead through Booking.com an early morning airport pickup, and it cancelled on us 30 minutes before pickup time, with no replacement provided or available on such short notice. Apparently not a unique occurrence… I recommend having a plan B in place (train route or bus); the train station is about 15 minutes walking distance.

Location was good and staff were amazing! There was a small outdoor space to sit on really nice. The boulangerie next to the hotel has delious croissants!

Room was smaller than we expacted and seen on the photos. We had to move the beds to open the second luggage. There was no fridge and coffee machine in the room. I haven't got that attention for room facilities, but now I will. There was no slippers, we could only get 1 pair and had to use it with my friend together :) Wardrobe was very small too.

Excellent location for the markets. Fabulous breakfast at a cost of 12 euro per night. Bar open until early hours of the morning which was good because all nearby restaurants were fully booked, bars were overcrowded/hot/a tad noisy for a catchup between a group who hadn't seen each other for some time. Christmas decorations in lounge were nice.

Bar staff seemed very unhappy/surly/unfriendly (we were polite, sober, well behaved and went to the bar not later than 1030pm on 2 separate occasions). Also, wouldn't recommend as romantic hotel as our bedroom was a twin rather than a double.

Beautiful hotel, our room was perfect. The hotel itself was in walking distance of…everything! A lovely bakery next door which was also convenient. Staff were so friendly and accommodating.

The only thing I can think of which could do with improving is perhaps have the smart TV connected to Wi-Fi as this would have given us the option to cast and stream - the only English speaking channel we had access to was BBC news. However, this is minor and doesn’t take away from how lovely this hotel is and how wonderful the staff were, 10/10!

The location was perfect, close to the main attractions and about a 15 min walk to the train station. It had everything needed for our stay. The beds were very comfortable and the bathroom was very spacious and clean. We didn't use the common areas in the lobby of the hotel, but it was very nicely decorated on theme with the holidays.

The room was poorly lit, the lights were very dim and it was quite hot inside (we didn't ask the staff for help since we weren't really that bothered by that). Otherwise everything was perfect.

The location was excellent, offering convenient access to the old city and to the bakeries for some morning delight. The staff was very welcoming and replied quickly to all our questions. Our rooms were nice and clean and pleasantly appointed, ensuring a comfortable stay. Additionally, the availability of private parking was a significant plus for us. We would definitely stay there again.

Very nice spot on the edge of the old town. Helpful staff advising on parking. Short walk into the pretty township. Comfortable room with great wifi and lounge space downstairs where we had a coffee while catching up on work on our laptops. Quiet family room :)

hard to find something we did not like but as a family room, it would have been more convenient to have the toilet separate from the bathroom. Always hand to have a couple of mirrors for getting ready.
