Hôtel Clairefontaine has the aesthetic of a boutique hotel (not sure if this is what they were going for) and I absolutely loved it. The place is cosy, quiet and If you are visiting when the weather is warmer you'll be in for a treat - they have a beautiful courtyard. I quite liked the area as well, there were a lot of amenities nearby & an easy access metro closeby. They served a delicious hot and cold breakfast in a beautiful eating area. I had to do some work one morning and spent some time in the eating area. All the staff at reception were kind and helpful, there was always someone at reception which made things easy for me. I arrived late and had to leave very early on my date of departure.

The bathroom in my room had mold on the ceiling but this is an easy fix.

Wonderful little hotel just off of Rue Daguerre. For sentimental reasons, we adore the area as we stayed one street back on a previous long stay. Rooms are comfortable, staff were all delightful and happy to help, and they've done a lot with a small space.

The rooms are definitely small. They've done an excellent job of making the most of that space, but for a stay longer than a few days, it would have been frustrating. I'm 6'3 (190+cm) so I felt it more than most, but luggage space is super limited so if you're traveling with a lot of bags, it'll be complicated in a room like ours.

Good location, just minutes from transport options. Very kind staff, always available to help. Good breakfast and good amenities. Good budget option to stay in the center of Paris.

Small room, if you come with a lot of luggage and more than one couple, it will be tight. It's an old hotel, it doesn't have a lift (but that wasn't a problem for me). Cleaning could be better, you could see that the room was not thoroughly cleaned (towel warmer with dust). The toilet lid was broken and the shower wet the bathroom a bit. As I only stayed 1 night, this was not a big deal but if I stayed longer, it would certainly bother me. Overall, a good option to stay a few days in Paris and enjoy the city.

I assume this is the best value for the money in Paris. It is a small room with everything you need if you are ok with the basics—great location, restful and quiet. We walked everywhere from here. We got there using the metro which was cheaper than the taxi. From the hotel to ORLY Airport was a short 18minutes ride for 27 Euros

Less is more. One chair less, a few cm for the bed. If you market the room for 2, make it a little bit bigger.

This place is so quaint and the staff is very helpful. We spent a day in Paris and ended up just going around the neighbourhood here. Will now specially design a holiday to be at this Hotel. Location is perfect in a non touristy area. Very safe to move around in the night. from CDG take the train to Denfert Hochereau station and this hotel is 5 mins walking from there. And this walk is thru the market lane which makes it very beautiful.

The location, close to Gare Montparnasse was convenient for us. Staff were all friendly and accommodating. Rooms were cleaned daily. Internet connection was good.

The internal patio (common area) was too cold, not usable during winter.

Amazingly friendly staff. We definitely feel like we visited some close relative. So pleasant middle yard with hype like at sea side with palmas and flowers. Rooms are not too big, but not too small. Amazing fresh breakfast with not so many choice like in resorts- but remember - this is small hotel. Breakfast have variety like when you prepare breakfast at home when you have a good friend in visit. Definitely would come back again. Thank you guys for be such a good hosts!

The internal patio was fascinating, making the hotel very original

I was surprised to realise that there was no elevator, given the very high cost of the hotel. No real problem for me, but I had a heavy trolley which was not comfortable to take to my room at the 3rd floor. Also, for the price paid, there were small defects in the room which one would not expect to see (as painting peeling off the ceiling in some points)

Location - it was off a street full of restaurants , also about 10 mins walk to 3 different train/ merro stations, one of which you can take the train direct to CDG airport.

Small room, bathroom could have been in better shape. Bedside lights didn’t work.

I liked the staff the most. They were friendly and inviting. They were genuinely generous with their time and recommendations. They allowed us to leave our luggage and check in early.

The only downside was that the property didn’t have an elevator. We had to carry our luggage all the way to the 4th floor. It wasn’t suitable for my mom as she had a medical condition with her leg.
