This 2* hotel is something of a gem. Yes the room was a bit small but (a guess that others were similarly sized to mine) but very clean, with excellent welcoming staff. It was a very comfy bed & pillows. While my room was on the street side, I couldn't hear any traffic outside (triple-glazed windows!). The location is so easy for both public transport & walking to any number of places, galleries, parks, etc. The breakfast (an add-on) is definitely worthwhile, filling, good choice. Coffee/tea, available noon to midnight & of course, wifi. Bathroom a bit small but had bathtub, shower, hairdryer; a small closet to hang clothes & a small safe. The staff are, without exception, friendly & 'there to help'. There was a question whether I would recommend for a romantic get-away; I answered 'yes' because while all the above is true, if you're a young couple (or even an older couple!) on a budget, there are many wonderful sights, galleries, museums, restaurants to be more romantic. Cheers!

The only thing I can fault but it's a minor quibble is the overhead lighting in my room. But that's the type of thing that would require major overhaul. This is a sweet & slightly quirky little gem. It was just fine for me.

Excellent location just a few steps from the metro station Censier Daubenton whose line number 7 is perfect to get to many of the most famous places in Paris. At the hotel, all persons at the reception desk were really friendly and helpful, fortunately there is an elevator to get to the upper levels. Around the hotel there are many opprtunities for shopping and you can even sit in a little park to read or eat and the area is safe even at night.

We really did not like the curtain in our bathroom, it was... not very clean at all. We also did not like that the room service hang a "do not disturb" sign at our door (the sign had disappeared, when we left in the morning) and therefore did not make our room. We displeased also the bleak breakfast room, but there are lots of cafés around the corner and everywhere in Paris, so that's no problem at all. Honestly, these are only minor inconveniences, we really liked the place and we can recommand it.

The hotel was very nice and clean. I thought that the size of the room was just fine. I was alone and had a nice, big double bed. The bathroom had a nice shower and included shampoo, body gel, and body lotion. There was free coffee and juice at any hour. The breakfast was pretty decent and had a lot of variety. I liked the location as well.

I did not realize beforehand that the breakfast was not included, so just be aware of that. They also recently raised the price to 12 euros. The breakfast was alright, but at that price, you could find something nice at a nearby cafe. At the price point of this hotel, it just seemed that breakfast should definitely be included. The wifi also did not work properly. I had a lot of problems with my connection.

The Latin Quarter is very beautiful, and seemed more tranquil and obviously safe than the other areas , though full of shops and restaurants. Metro line 7 is about 3 mins walk, (you won’t use a bus in Paris)) There is a Carrefour near the hotel and many other grocery shops. It’s about 30 mins walk to Notre Dame. The staff was nice, the hotel itself is small and very very quiet.

Room N.18 was the smallest room we have ever seen. And the lightening was very poor. Though it was clean and the bed was super comfortable. Cleaning was done everyday. Thank you)

Conveniently located with a bus stop across the street and only a one to two minute walk to the metro station. Close to a number of attractions, you can walk to the Pantheon and Notre Dame, notably the hostel is close to Ernest Hemingway's flat in Paris, and the neighbourhood around the hostel is very nice. The staff at the hostel were very welcoming and friendly. The room is cleaned every day.

The air conditioning in my room was broken when I stayed there, the hostel went installed portable air conditioning in the room before I checked in. Also I didn't find the light switch in the bathroom at the time of my stay, but that could have been my own problem.

There was a friendly welcome in a hotel which I knew from the past but which has now been refurbished, which improved it and the price is still very reasonable. The room was small (but perfectly formed ;) : everything was there to make a summer visit enjoyable) But I didn't come for the room but for the excellent location : Metro, supermarket ,restaurants and coffeshops all within close walking distance.

I like to read before going to sleep but the two bed lamps were both out of order. But that was it !

The hotel front desk person, Luc, was very friendly and helpful. All questions regarding getting around were promptly handled with a smile. Arranged a taxi for us to get to the airport on checkout. Beds were comfortable Neighbourhood was quiet and peaceful at night. Location in the Latin Quarter is very good. Many places to eat or snack within a stone's throw. An amazing market lined with eateries and cafes within 2 min walk. Metro is close by. Hot drinks (coffee // chocolate) available complimentary on unlimited basis post 12pm. Very nice feature. Breakfast was good. A decent spread. No complaints on quality.

Room size is very small. Yes, most Paris hotels have small rooms at this price. But these were really small. Likewise, bathroom is cramped. WC is very close to the wall, making it little uncomfortable to use. Elevator too can fit only 2 persons.

Great location! loved how close it was to the metro (literally one minute) and centrally located so I was also able to walk to the main sights when I wanted. I felt safe walking around at night and there are some brilliant cafes around (would recommend Le Parisien just across the road ) Staff are also kind and cheerful. The free coffee and Tropicana was a definite bonus! breakfast is not bad for a two star I mainly had the mini cheese/ yogourts on offer and the mini croissants were nice! Would definitely stay again when I’m next in Paris ! Bare in mind they are renovating which didn’t bother me as I was out and about but may not suit someone looking for a laid back lie in holiday.

I didn’t mind as a solo traveler but I wouldn’t recommend the room for a larger person (I could just about fit in the shower). A fridge would have been nice if I were being picky !

We loved the location, our favorite district (5th arrondissement). The hotel also had one of the best elevators, especially for hauling luggage up to your room. The room was cozy and quiet with a comfortable bed. Breakfast was good and free coffee was available from noon to midnight. However, the best attribute of this hotel was the staff, especially the people at the reception desk. They helped in every way they could: calling taxis, showing the way to get to places, suggesting places to eat. and just being welcoming, pleasant, and nice.

I cannot find fault with this hotel.

Booking.com puts way too much emphasis on location, but this location was great with regard to proximity to the Metro stop. Lots of restaurants available and close to rue Mouffetard with a short walk to the Pantheon. Staff was friendly and breakfast while not great, was decent. I would definitely stay here again. We had an 'inside' room and it was dead quiet.

Room was very small. Two large people may have trouble moving about. The hangers were terrible (poor design) and fell from the rack if you looked at them wrong. (I'm sure that wont' translate well). Bed was too soft for my liking (that of course is very subjective)
