The spacious, clean, bright room, the lovely lobby with daily baked cakes, coffee and tea where you can chill out during the day, the terrace in front of the hotel, the attentive, friendly and supportive receptionist and staff who helped me to find the place to buy some gift and walk with me to the taxi. great location near Gare de lyon

You need to carry your luggage about half floor to the elevator and need to inform the hotel in advance if you carry big luggage otherwise you can probably stay on 6th floor where you need to carry your luggage from 5thF to 6thF There is construction site in front of the hotel so ít’s a bit noisy if you want to sit and relax at the terrace

The location was excellent, and the staff went above and beyond to be friendly and helpful the entire time I stayed. Only stayed one night, but would stay there again! There is an elevator, but I was only on the second floor. They wouldn't even let me carry my suitcase upstairs! Lots of little details like snacks in the lobby and friendly service. Rooms are a bit small but I don't mind that as I usually travel alone and it is in the city center and close to train stations/transportation, etc.!

It is hard to keep water from splashing out of the shower, but water was warm and shower is nice otherwise!

Hotel had a great location with several restaurant and bakeries within 1 min walk. Staff was very helpful and friendly. They answered all are questions about the surroundings, the metro and kindly reserved taxis for us when needed. The room itself although small was comfortable, quiet and very clean. Sleeping was no problem there after a long day exploring Paris.

Room size was a minor issue. There was no closet or tiny fridge. Bathroom was very small, especially the shower and we are average sized people. The light up mirror didn't function and was never addressed after being brought up to the staff.

Very friendly staff / nice atmosphere. Good location (3 minutes walk to gare de lyon with good connections to île de la cité / marais etc.). Rooms are not big but well organised. Walls inside are a bit thin, to the outside: double windows, that means you cannot hear traffic at all. I would definitely come back next time!

Budget hotel with luxury feel in the heart of Paris. My 5 stars are based on the absolute exceptional service I was offered during my stay, which was quite particular. My entire stay really felt like a concierge experience. The staff is attentive and helpful. Water is provided on tap / bottle as required. Cake and fruit is also available all day. The lobby is nicely decorated and was a great space to work in. The rooms are snug but have everything you need for your stay. I personally didn’t mind the smaller size of the bedroom because the design is so cosy and cohesive. It really gives the sense that a lot of thought has been put into the space and the most important features for the guest. I also stayed in a 4-star hotel shortly after, where fewer features were provided for a much higher cost… But really, for my stay, I have to commend the two receptionists David and Robert, who made my stay as comfortable as possible, especially because I came down with a bad fever for most of my stay! They provided endless honey and lemons, water and tissues. David even walked with me to the pharmacy when I needed to pick up antibiotics to communicate with the pharmacist, and provided breakfast and a dinner to the room even though no room service is usually offered. Top service in a boutique hotel experience, which I could not have asked for better. I will recommend and return myself next time I am in Paris.

Fab location near to Bastille and Gare De Lyon - never took long to get to most places. The rooms were clean, and regularly cleaned - also had all the amenities and stocked with items that were listed on website. Bed was extremely comfy. I liked the decor. Good sound proofing from outdoors, and thick curtains to block out light. Oh and AC! I thought the room was a decent size tbh; bigger than my own bedroom back home so a definite improvement! Wifi was fast. A big highlight was the staff, attentive and knowledgeable, warm and friendly - an undervalued necessity in a city like Paris! Other reviewers here seem to confirm this too. I'd recommend the hotel purely on this. All in all a great stay, I'd gladly be back and recommend Hotel Locomo to others!

The staff was exceptional. This was our second trip to the hotel, and both times, everyone we interacted with at reception or in the lobby had the attitude that as guests we hope to encounter: authentic and interested in helping, not the paternalistic, or dismissive, or uninterested attitudes that we so often observe in hotels of any category. It makes a difference. The way the lobby is used is also creating this homey, friendly vibe: It seems to me that a number of staff work in the lobby on their laptops and are « mixed » with the guests having a drink, coffee or a piece of cake. Another plus is that included in your room stay are all kinds of hot and cold beverages including espresso, cappuccinos… and « home-made » cakes and lemonade. So you feel like you would do at home, make yourself a coffee, open the fridge for water or get a piece of cake. Finally, the hammam, (wet sauna) that is available to guests (15 euros) at any time is spacious, well built and very functional giving you the choice of a self-given spa in the evening or a wake up hot sauna before starting your day. The room we had this time was spacious and comfortable. Last time, we had a very small room that was very similar to the rooms we experienced in other hotels in Paris in previous stays.

I loved absolutely EVERYTHING about this hotel. Excellent location, just a few steps from Gare de Lyon, with many restaurants, markets, and a pharmacy next door. Extremely kind staff, from receptionists to breakfast staff. Spacious room, with coffee machine, great bathroom with excellent amenities, impeccable cleanliness, I will definitely stay here again.

As points for improvement, I would include a minibar in the room, English channels on the TV (all were in French), and at breakfast an upgrade to the fruit salad, which was the only thing that wasn't great in the cafe.

Lovely smiley welcome. Really comfortable bed, clean throughout the hotel, great breakfast. All of the staff were nice and all appeared to be intent on making sure we were having a nice stay. It's about a 3 min walk to gare du Lyon which is why we stayed. It's our second visit to this hotel, the first was to a standard room, this time we had a large room. In actual fact both were as nice as each other, I would say go for the large room if you are there for more than 2 nights but for a stopover night the standard rooms are more than adequate. The rooms look exactly like they do in the photos so you won't be disappointed when you arrive

When the man who checked me in said to me “We would like you to feel at home during your stay,” he meant it! There was free beverage and fresh-baked pastry in the afternoon to enjoy. The room was perfect for a solo traveler. There were books in the room, and you can leave/swap books so that other people can enjoy the books that you read, or maybe you want to get rid of some books to lighten up your bag/luggage. The bed and the pillow were comfortable. There was a nespresso machine in the room so that you can enjoy a cup of coffee before you go out and explore Paris. The Metro and Gare de Lyon werte 3-5 minute walk from this hotel. There were a lot of restaurants when you step outside of the hotel. There’s a mini-grocery store 50 ft away if you don’t want to eat out.
