We wanted a hotel that was close to the Gare de Lyon but not on *top* of the Gare de Lyon, and the Mercure Paris Gare de Lyon was the perfect location. We arrived in Paris at 10AM and appreciated being able to leave our bags at the hotel while we did some sight-seeing and got lunch before check-in. Room was quite quiet and comfortable.

We showed up around 2:30PM to check into our room, and even though check-in officially started at 2:00PM, we still had to wait about 30 minutes until it was ready. The hotel was quite busy though, so I am not too surprised — and the lobby was a fine place to wait.

Thoroughly enjoyed our four-night stay. here. Pleasant, helpful and friendly staff happy to help with restaurant recommendations. Bedroom made up and bathroom cleaned to very high standard every day. Hotel in good location near the Gare de Lyon train station with plenty of cafes, bars and restaurants to choose from near by. A big bonus is that it is situated on a quiet street, which ensured a good night's sleep. Definitely ticks all the boxes for a short break and would happily return.

Room and bathroom were a tad on the small side, but hey this is Paris after all so no complaints.

Fantastic stay - I message the hotel in inform them It was my partners 30th Birthday and they kindly ensured we got a balcony room and decorated the room with balloons and a message from the staff. It was such a thoughtful touch that we really appreciated. The location was brilliant - 2 mins walk from Gare De Lyon which is on the Metro 1 line which is one of the main lines to take you around the city. Hotel lobby always smelt fantastic and the staff were pleasant and helpful. Room was beautifully decorated and a good size for the price. Really enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend to Friends and family

Absolutely fantastic stay! We booked 2 rooms as we were travelling as a family of 4. We were given 2 rooms which interconnected and allowed us a great amount of space, particularly for a city hotel. Decor in the rooms and reception was beautiful too and very Parisian. Staff were very friendly! We arrived at the airport early (around 10.30am) and our 5 year old had awful travel sickness. They checked us in straight away so we could get him comfortable and settled. The rooms were clean, and we didn’t hear any noise from surrounding rooms. We were on the back of the building so no traffic noise either which made for a restful few nights sleep. A 2 minute walk to Gare De Lyon station and some lovely restaurants & supermarkets surrounding the hotel.

Nothing we didn’t like - would have been great if the tea and coffee in the room was replaced during housekeeping :)

The interior is so stylish and elegant. The staff is incredibly polite, professional and helpful. From the window you could see a street, but it wasn’t loud at night. Every morning and evening I was greeted. I had a great time because I felt welcomed. My purpose was to come to Paris to have some rest and I met my goal.

we loved the location, which was within a reasonable walking distance of most of the places we wanted to go to and very close to the Gare De Lyon. The staff were helpful and friendly. We found the room to be very comfortable and clean with a nice view from the small balcony.

tiny thing to be aware of is the very typical small lift (like in most Parisian hotels!) But we are used this when we had luggage to go up and down from the room. The stairs were fine otherwise.

Beautifully decorated room, great value for money, nice touches in the room e.g nespresso machine, slippers. Looked exactly like the pictures. Very easy to get to from Gare de Nord (only two stops on the metro and a short walk). Very close to Gare de Lyon. The staff were fantastic and attentive whenever we had a request, and they brought us champagne as it was my partner’s birthday. We will most definitely come back for our next trip.

Decor was lovely, location is great- slightly out of the centre of Paris but lovely area with cafes restaurants with easy access to rest of Paris being next to a metro station. Beds comfortable, great shower, quiet location and lovely staff. For 3 on a weekend away it was fab.

The rooms need a bit of a touch up/maintenance (eg.wallpaper peeling in a few places, shower door didn’t quite close)- though the room remained comfortable and clean. Proper mugs in the room would be a bonus.
