Great location for getting the tram into town! Also walking distance into town and the river. Large room. Excellent shutters in the room kept it nice and dark. It's a cheap option to enjoy the city.

Hotel is at a busy junction in the University district of Strasbourg, with trams running past the hotel frequently, starting early in the morning. This can be heard/felt in the front rooms, so bring good ear plugs or request a room at the back of the hotel.

For two stars hotel it has everything you need to. Hair dryer, shampoo, good wifi connection, tee pot in room with tea and coffee. Very good location next to tram station. Also it’s possible get to the city center by walking only for 10-15 min.

I don’t like that some workers in reception don’t speak English at all and any other language except French. It is makes everything more complicated when you want to check in. Also my room hasn’t air conditional system. In summer very hot and with all time open window is super loud because of the outside noises. You could have bad night because of it.

We enjoyed our stay in Hotel Esplanade. The room and the bathroom was very clean and well organized with light wall colors. The bed was cosy and the sheets were clean. We had a nice street view from our balcony. As a big plus I love the idea to have a water boiler in the room, it was useful for me. The staff is 24h available in the reception for any needs and they were from the very beginning till the end very friendly and helpful. Thank you for the great hospitality.

The location is super nice. Tram station is just 1 min walk, so you can easily get to the city centre. Staff was also friendly and spoke a good English, so I didn't have any communicational problems. Room was nice and tidy. Can't tell it was super big, but for a night stay ~17m² room was sufficient enough. It had a kettle with some tea/coffee. Bathroom was clean, water was nice. Nothing more to ask

Great location, only a short 1.5km through beautiful avenue (the esplanade!) to old town. And a nice street parking next to hotel. The price was excellent.

Cups in the room weren't washed so we had to clean some stuff ourselves. Beds weren't too good but we were so tired we didn't have time to suffer. There is some traffic noise coming through windows. Also, there is no air conditioning and the ventillation in bathroom was not working.

I travelled solo - the room was well sized, new bathroom, very comfortable bed. The Lady at the reception, very nice and helpful. Location - about 15 mins to town centre by walk or half less by tram which is just next to the hotel. I loved that there was a kettle and tea to make :)

Because room is at the back of the building it gets hardly any day light but then again I was mostly out anyway.

Great location, just yards away from Observatoire tram stop into heart of city, but only 20 minutes walk right into centre any way. Friendly staff.

Some people might have found the trams running til quite late a bit disturbing but it didn't bother me at all.

The location was great - 2 minutes walking from the tram station and about 20 min walking from the old town. It is also a 5 min walk from Strasbourg university. The room has all needed facilities, even though it could use some more closets for the guests staying longer. The rooms are cleaned daily. The staff at the reception are very polite, and most of them speak very good English.

Staff was awesome, very nice and helpful people. Breakfast was very good. Location of hotel is good too, nice walk to center, seemed also as safe area too.

In room was very cold at night. Also when I arrived, there were no towels in room. The room was smaller, but it was enough for staying there only for sleep.

Solid budget option. I asked for an quiet room, which I got. It was very quiet clean, and nice. Its close to a food store. Many nice resturants close by. Its a nice town. Small but qulity bathroom. Loved the body loation they had. The next day I walked over the bridge to Germany :)
