My first visit to Toulouse and my stay at Hotel Albert 1er was very pleasant. The location was superb, right in the city centre and within walk in distance of most of the attractions in the city. The room was very clean and comfortable. The staff was very attentive and friendly. And I really enjoyed the breakfast, which most times can be disappointing but this time was provided with local produce, and healthy options and it was very varied. I would recommend it.

The coffee machine made the breakfast seem less good. I would prefer the option of just general filter coffee served in cafetière rather than a hospital style coffee machine. But I know some people would prefer this option as you can have different coffee styles in one. I also didn't enjoy having to leave the keys at reception every time I was going in and out, sometimes staff was busy and I had to wait for a long time just to hand a key. But they were always kind and friendly.

Location was superb. I did a lot of walking during my stay and the hotel was central to the city. River, canal, old district etc. Room was good. Very clean, which is the most important aspect for me. As I was there for three nights a comfy chair would have been nice as I didn't really have anywhere to read other than the bed. That said it was functional and did the job very well. Plenty of hanging space, safe etc. I didn't take breakfast The reception staff were excellent. Incredibly helpful and could speak English. Assisted me with opening times, airport bus times, finding a bike hire. Overall just perfect

There wasn't anything I disliked

Super friendly staff. Delicious and generous breakfast. Lovely space in central location. Not troubled by road noise. Would recommend booking a Superior room. We booked a Standard room but it was uncomfortably small - for 20E the Superior room seemed about twice the size. Have to say again the staff were exceptionally nice. Willing to persist with our rudimentary French when English might have been easier. Bravo! Highly recommend!

Standard room was felt very small. Superior room was delightful. Note sizes may vary and mb we were lucky/unlucky.

Good location, easy to walk to bars and restaurants but on a quiet street. Room was very quiet. Good selection at breakfast. Would stay again at the same price.

Details about where to park were confusing so I think we missed the deal suggested by the hotel. Breakfast room could have been a bit cooler.

Great location, just off capitol Square, bus and metro close, quiet although central, really comfy bed, quilt pillows. All staff very welcoming and friendly.

Only English channel on TV was BBC news, normally wouldn't notice but a couple of eet evenings had us back early.

Great location, in the city center. The room was clean, tidy, and comfy. The breakfast was superb, diverse and fresh. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

The staff was too friendly and diligent to not tidy my room, although I did hang the “Do not disturb” tag on the door.

Great location in old town - walking access to the fresh produce market & city sites. Room had 2 sets of French doors opening out onto vista of ornate facade of the original post-telegraph building. Excellent continental breakfast in ground floor restaurant. Friendly & helpful staff on reception.

Step out of Albert 1er and you're in the middle of Toulouse, which was really neat. The hotel was clean and quiet and good. The breakfast was very good, with locally sourced produce including cheeses and eggs as well as the usual pastries. The elevator was modern and good. The wifi worked, the shower was good.

The rooms aren't very big, but they have everything you need.

Lost electricity in the building in middle of night - employees got right to it but it appeared to be a flaw in the hotel’s own system. Ridiculously high price for laundry service (EUR 7 per item no differentiation between tiny simple things and big complex things).

The Albert 1er hotel was lovely with a superb staff that was attentive and caring. No request was unreasonable and all the staff were friendly and kind. The location was perfect and close to major tourist sites as well as several amenities.

There was a bit of noise from the road but these things cannot be controlled.
