The room offered good value for the price, but it was quite warm as there was no air conditioning or fans available. The window only opened slightly, which didn’t help much with ventilation. The location is convenient, although it’s popular among younger travelers, making it a bit noisy sometimes. The bed was comfortable and provided a decent night's sleep, which was a plus. The attention from the staff was excellent. They were very accommodating and tried to assist my elderly parents, which was greatly appreciated.

The main downside was the heat in the room due to the lack of air conditioning or fans. The noise level was also higher than expected, given the youthful clientele.

The location is great! Far from the street itself, the reception/bar separate building is impressive! Stayed only with 1 person in the room, so not crowded. Easy to reach other places of town within 10min walk to the nearest train hub. Quite okayish beds. Not my first time staying with A&O, as they are hostel network. They do a good job.

Few things. But I consider them minor. 1. Old windows with no soundproof. Outside of the windows there are tables to sit at, so someone may wake you up with their chit chat. 2. No AC. Summer night was really hot in such room. 3. Shower door handle was kinda broken. Functioning, but broken. 4. Had troubles using self check-in with card activation. But receptionist helped me out within a few minutes. 5. There could be more instructions showing directions to enter the building, because for first time travellers to this place, I find this a little inconvenient. It is easily mis-looked walking by the street. Room for improvement, but you can't expect to get 10/10 quality and service for such a bargain of a price, in such town.

It's the best place for youth to stay. Lots of students were met there. Not so close to the centre but has enough transport around.

The USB port near the bed didn't work at all, same about others. So, it was impossible to charge a tablet at night without leaving it somewhere far from owner. It woul be great if you fix it next time, because the most important things for a tourist are wi-fi, charging and a shower. :)

The room was clean and pleasant. The windows allowed for good ventilation. There is a locker for everyone in the room and if you have a padlock you can lock your belongings in it. Each bed has 2 USB ports and a night light. The building has an elevator, which makes it easier to move to the high floors. Check-in is fast and hassle-free, and check-out is even faster. You enter the building and the room with a card that allows you to open only those doors to which you have access. The place feels pretty safe. I would come back here again!

Staying in a hostel always depends on the other people you share the room with. For most of my stay, I had roommates with guys who didn't come back to the hostel all night. It made my sleep here quite pleasant. During the day they threw a lot of toilet paper in the toilet, but after you turn on the water it doesn't make any impression and you enjoy a peaceful sleep. The first night I thought I would be alone in the room, but someone came to check in at 03 in the night and it interrupted my sleep. However, these are not things that the hostel can change. When you've paid for a room with four people you're expected to accommodate all their habits. In that sense, everything related to the hostel itself was trouble-free.

The room was bigger than expected. Very clean and quiet. It was nice with a TV in the room, even though I could've wished for a few channels in English. Very central location with the tram nearby. We were overall very happy with our stay, and would definitely stay there again!

We had a bit of trouble with finding the room. We had to go and ask the receptionist multiple times for directions. It was a bit confusing with the different entrances, but in the end, we figured it out.

The stuff were really friendly,the whole hostel was really nice and cozy,the room was great and clean,they also have a luggage room to leave ur stuff so u wont carry them when u arrive or leave.The location was great,not even 5 minutes away from s-bahn station and max 20 minutes away from alexanderplatz! Will definitely stay there again if we visit Berlin again!

I loved that the hostel is just a 5 minutes walk from the train station! I also loved the staff because they were so kind to us! I'm not gonna lie, I was a little worried because of all the bad reviews I saw but this hostel exceeded my expectations. Everything was perfect and I don't know why people keep complaining. Anyways, I'll be back!! :)

The staff was nice and helpful. The rooms are super clean and the ambience is great for sleeping. There's an elevator to reach the upper floors. Public transportation is quite close by.

There's nothing much to see around the area. A lot of bars and restaurants are available. Each bed need their light, so I don't need to turn on the room light and disturb everyone.

I was on the ground level and felt safe as a solid female traveler. the location is in the best area for all of the food, grocery stores, little markets, so many several restaurants all over as well! The room boasted sleeping 5. please do not do this to yourself or your company lol the couches are a great secondary plan if need be, but half of our party needed getting another hotel all together. Two bathrooms were lovely, hot water was abundant, once we sorted the washer it was very cool to have. the balcony was absolutely brilliant! we had one little issue, but it was solved quickly! Pro tip: do not toss your luggage on the bed or lay down too forcefully as the frames aren’t meant to hold much other than a non-moving body as one sleeps.

an hdmi connection would be nice for folks out of the country & clear rules of operating the clothes washer would be helpful.

I appreciate the following points. location: near to the Ostkreuz st. which has good an access to both to city center and the airport. backyard: my favorite place to do morning yoga and breakfast! frieandly staffs: most of them are really friendly and serve well.

the room was not clean enough because they do not seem to clean it up everyday. if you prioritize cleanliness, I don't recommend.
