We really like the concept of organic food, bed linen, towels, soaps... The sauna and wellness area on the roof is exceptional. The provided yoga mat in the room is a fantastic thought. Super family friendly & relaxed atmosphere!

The breakfast menu could be extended to hot cooked a la carte food. It doesn't need many dishes, 2-3. The mostly bread based breakfast menu is not for everybody. A coffee machine, kettle and small fridge could be added to the room. Toiletries like conditioner and body lotion could be provided.

the bed is extremely comfortable. courtyard room was silent, window shades were thick to block the sun. nice to have a yoga mat in the room and the space is enough for one person to comfortably exercise.

pillows were very big, thick and difficult to settle into even if after a few pulls you could arrange the shape to your liking. the working table was not very user friendly. not enough electric plugs for such a nicely thought hotel. the sauna was only open upon request after 5 until 10.

Stylish hotel in a fantastic location, shops and restaurants nearby, and great connectivity to various modes of public transport. The Vietnamese restaurant a five minute walk away was a delightful find.

For the price of the room - some tea/coffee making facilities in the room would have been welcome? I felt the 'Bardo' in house breakfast was overpriced and enjoyed breakfasting with the Berliners in nearby cafes for less that a third of the cost.

We had the spa suite with the sauna and truly have never experienced such "luxury" in Berlin. Definitely a great place to go for a short staycation in Berlin. Since we were there for a night on a very windy day, we didn't get to enjoy the wrap around balcony to its fullest extent but will be going back for another short stay for this in-room sauna and balcony. Shakshouka was the only thing at breakfast that was delicious - everything was SUPER vegan but it goes with the vegan/bio theme of this hotel so can't really complain.

The upstairs lounge/sauna area could benefit by having a jacuzzi/hot tub of some sort - if there was one, it wasn't accessible. Since the hotel is all about eco-living and sustainability, I think the suite could do without two TVs but maybe they should just get a speaker system as that would save more energy and also be more useful/enjoyable for guests staying. I brought my own portable speakers so it was fine but no where to play music if you want to get a vibe going. For a spa hotel, it was weird they didn't have bathrobes.... They have slippers but no bathrobes. Just a bunch of mid size towels. If there's no bathrobe I think the towels should have at least been a big bigger - beach size.

The hotel is brand new, carefully designed, room was spacious and bright, the bed large. The philosophy behind this hotel is commendable, they really took care of all the details from the natural materials to the use of resources to the food at breakfast. They provided us with a cot for our baby, and high chairs where available in the breakfast room as well, so I would recommend it to other families with young children. The location was also great, quite close to different train and subway stations, as well as bus/streetcar stops. The neighborhood is rich in restaurants and bars and has a lively nightlife (luckily, not too close to the hotel, so there’s no nuisance whatsoever)

Only negative point? Some strong smell from the shower drain, but hopefully it was just a temporary problem...

- Great service - got exactly what we wanted - our two rooms right next to each other, one with a baby cot. Made us super happy as we needed our baby monitor to work between the two rooms :) - Super friendly staff that very kindly and promptly helped out with various requests (ironing board, additional room key cards, hot water in a bowl) - The breakfast looked amazing - so many vegan foods! (We didn't actually try it as we needed to rush off) - Nice location to walk around and explore Friedrichshain neighborhood - Very stylish rooms/ decor - Focus on sustainability :)

- The hotel is on a busy street and can be pretty loud traffic (incl trams) and people at night

We stayed at the Almodovar Hotel Berlin July 16-18 2022. This little hotel is a gem !! it’s decorated in a lovely, unique natural and comfortable style !! The staff were so kind , helpful and friendly !! Our bed was comfortable and everything was very clean ! We would definitely recommend it to our friends ! Dorothea Sanders

Super clean and comfortable. Our first time in another country and the whole place felt so secure. Loved the minimalist decor and design of the apartment. Hotel was a perfect location, had transport links right outside.

Not much, except there wasn’t an oven or toaster.

Location, Large room and very clean.

The hotel missing basic facilities in the room such as Kettle and mini -fridge. They explain its due to environmental reasons but at least one kettle in a floor. The bed and pillows are very not comfrtable.

The location is really strategic. It is close to restaurants, shops and cafes. It is also 15mins walk to U5 U-Bahn and 2 mins walk to a Tram stop. We really liked the rooftop sauna and the spacious Apartment room. The price is great for the facilities they offered.
