Very nice hotel in a quiet neighbourhood. The lobby/breakfast area is lovely and feels like you are in your own living room! Sizes and layout of rooms differs greatly (we were in three different rooms). We had easy parking outside in the street and walking distance to public transport and the large park with beer garden. The staff were great, including very helpful in the middle of the night when our son was sick.

This is not about the hotel but a word of caution to anyone taking the car to Berlin: you need to order a sticker for your car for environmental purposes and if you don't know you will be fined. It takes several weeks to get the sticker so when we realized there was nothing we could do. If it is too late for you to order the sticker it may be better to stay at a hotel that is outside the city centre as public transport is great in Berlin.

Location is superb: I came for the Berlin Marathon and could get to the start line by foot. Moreover, there are U-Bahn and S-Banh stations in 5 - 10 minutes from the hotel. There is a straight S-Bahn line from there to the airport, by the way. The breakfast is delicious and has good assortment for any taste. The bed is soft and comfy. The matrimonial bed has 2 separate mattresses and 2 blankets which I find very convenient . And the neighborhood is very tranquil and relaxed: no noise or parties. My room was very spacious. I would say: enormous :) When we moved in, we discovered that the fridge (ini bar) was broken. But the personnel immediately replaced it with a good one. All in all, everything was great! Strongly recommend.

Really enjoyed our stay, there was literally nothing wrong, the staff was lovely, the bed comfy, the room very spacious (almost too much if you can believe it)! It's very easy to commute to the city from the hotel.

Even though everything was good, we always like our breakfast to offer more choices, we got a sweet tooth while traveling so some crepes/pancakes are always welcome for example. Parking is very challenging, even though I wrote a request to reserve a spot, there were none available at our arrival. Not a huge deal but for travelers who do not know, it's worth checking for options.

Very friendly and helpful staff, 24/7. Very clean, large rooms, comfortable beds. Breakfast was great and everything was very affordable including the breakfast and the drinks they offered.

The Wi-fi could definitely be better. No shampoo/conditioner provided which I guess is fine for an affordable 3-star hotel but could still be an improvement. Also had a room on the ground floor with windows facing the street which was not ideal, but they did have curtains that could cover the entire windows so that was at least good.

The room was spacious and comfortable, and suitably equipped. Breakfast is wonderful and the staff are absolutely fantastic, you feel welcome and cared for. The hotel is a short walk away from a busy S-Bahn station with multiple lines, the commute into the city centre is very short. Would definitely come again!

TV reception spotty for some reason. Though it had no negative impact on our stay, the building was built at the turn of the century (I assume) and definitely looks its age.

We very much enjoyed our stay at the Hansablick. We booked a family room (for me and my two six year old boys) and it did the job perfectly. The high ceilings are nice, the shower was excellent, the breakfast was solid, the setting was quiet and the all round atmosphere was lovely. Hotels in Berlin are getting ever more expensive so with that in mind this hotel represents good value for money. It's no more than five minutes' walk from 'Tiergarten' train station so, location-wise, it's excellent.

The only thing that wasn't perfect was the internet on the last of our four nights. To be clear, the internet was excellent for the first three nights and I think we may just have been a bit unlucky. I did mention this to the hotel staff on our final day and they were most apologetic. I have a feeling that had I mentioned it the night before (when the internet was patchy) they would have done all they could to have put it right. As it was, it wasn't the end of the world for us so we didn't making them aware of it until we left.

Breakfast was really nice (excellent value/money rate). Location is nearby S-Bahn (1 stop till Zoo, 4 stops till Alexanderplatz), but trains absolutely not disturbing. No high traffic streets around. Hotel has owns not expensive closed parking place. Be sure to reserve it! Staff extremely helpful.

Wifi was not working for some time, looks like hardware problem.

- no thermostatic valve in the shower - building was under renovation on the outside - key had to be turned in every time I left the building and had to be picked up at the reception when I entered (minor annoyance)

Breakfast was very fresh with big selection and the stuff very obliging and kind. I really loved the dark bread.

I was allergic to the detergent used to wash the sheets and the floor, but I didn't specify it to anyone, so it's my miscalculation. A hypoallergenic, mellow soap could help too.

I prefer staying in local hotels during my trips and Hotel Hansablick is one of these in Berlin. It has a central location, close to Tiergarten. It is clean and comfortable. The Staff is very kind and friendly that makes you feel at home. I also loved the art work decorating the walls of reception and breakfast hall.
