All I can say about my feedback is: You find what you are looking for and don't waste your time to find other hotels in Berlin because you find exactly what you are looking for. Location is the best of the best as I was a few seconds from the tube station with any 100 shops or 100 of foods you like. (but still a nice and quiet area). Outside of the hotel are lovely coffee shops round the corner. I had a fantastic view of the Berlin parliament Bundestag which is 10 min walk from the hotel. The Hotel from the outside looks standart and nothing special but as soon as I walk inside I become surprised. Hotel was nice and 100% clean smells of new furniture, nice and modern with its own modern style. Staff of the hotels include cleaners, are lovely and very friendly and happy to help with anything. I travel all around the world but I never was that happy with my hotel choice. Of course when I say A I will need to say a B. Breakfast was first class with lot of choice and fresh quality food. Only one thing was bad experience in this hotel was the omelet maker. He was so rude because when I asked for more ingredients in my omelets he complained to me he needed to cut this himself so he couldn't give it to me. So I said OK. Then he opened the conflict and told me not to be angry. But funy enough I was all the time quiet. He makes my breakfast not comfortable any more and me and my wife from this day never come for an omelet and avoid this man far, far away. Other than that everything was absolutely first class and that's why i decided to keep the maximum rating from my side as possible for this hotel.

The breakfast was great and the breakfast staff very friendly as well as the cleaning staff. The check-in staff needs to be a bit more friendlier in that they rarely smile and you don’t feel welcome in their hotel. They don’t greet you as you come in and leave the hotel if there’s no one at their check in area. The location was great. The hop on hop off bus stops right in front of the hotel. The main Berlin train station is next to the hotel. And theres a monthly special of 9 euros per month for all transportation except for the bullet trains to promote use of mass transportation.

Hotel staff at hotel not friendly or welcoming at all!!!

Easy access from hotel to various locations via tram system ⁷

The bathroom lights were annoying due to light pollution emitting from the bathroom to the room... needs to be either double switched for lighting only in the toilet area or solid doors installed.. it's unnecessary illumination throughout the room in the middle of the night.. a night light would be a welcome addition instead of 400 candle power. Also, housekeeping never removed used coffee cups brought from the restaurant... other than those essentials that lend to a higher GSI (Guest Services Index).., my evaluation is very good, not excellent, but very good! The value would make more sense with my recommendations...

It is a nice new hotel with the intention for business travellers. The hotel is clean and it s almost brand new. It is close to central train Station in Berlin and walking distance to the Barnderburg gate.

I asked for a phone charger and on the day I left they tried to sell it to me for 20 euros😳..surely a 5 star hotel will have few spares and will return the deposit back to their clients. The staff is like military type acting like they are the boss there.. it is a 5 star with a feeling of 4 star. Showers thermosthat was either going to hot or too cold. Around the hotel only fast food and business centres no residential buildings.

Location is right next to Berlin main station, i.e. very easy to reach when traveling by train. Room was rather big. Whole hotel is very modern, including bathroom. Very wide choice of food for breakfast. And even though there were many guests for breakfast at the same time, the spacious breakfast room did not feel too busy. Friendly staff.

The direct surrounding of the hotel is not very picturesque - just modern, functional buildings - and for "nicer" restaurants etc. you might have to go some other place in Berlin. But via S-Bahn and other public transportation one can go to other parts of Berlin rather easily.

Hardly anything went well because we were caught in the air traffic control stand down at Heathrow airport. It was chaos and we were unable to get to Berlin until the last of the three nights we had planned. If I get a chance to return to Berlin, I would try to stay at the Steigenberger. It is easy to get to, only a short walk from the central train terminal.

The chaos at Heathrow! No luggage for three nights. This certainly wasn't the fault of the Steigenberger. The communication channel that booking, com provided was quite useful.

I found that the water tank of the coffee maker had its hinges for the lid were broken when I wanted to have a cup of coffee. I picked up the phone to tell the reception, but the phone was not working!, So I went down to the reception to report the two problems, a lady wrote down my room number and told me that she would send me a maintenance person. I waited in my room for some 20 minutes but no one came, and so I went down again to ask what was going on. The lady who had seen me was not there, and another lady looked somewhat irritated, saying that the maintenance team had called it a day and asked me why I was upset! … I think I will stop elaborating here to save my travel time, but the phone was fixed when we returned from our sightseeing the following day afternoon, but the coffee machine required two more phone calls and THREE visits by two maintenance team members with the last one was completely redundant. The hotel team seemed to be behaving like “headless chucks.”

They did not seem to have any fundamental checklist to go through before letting a client into a room!

This is a very cool hotel. It's right next to the Hauptbahnhof (Central Train Station), which is just an amazing place. You can see the Reichstag. Anyway, it's a very central, modern area, and the hotel has very friendly, accommodating staff. The rooms are spacious, modern, well-appointed, and everything worked beautifully. Beds very comfy, especially if you like firmer mattresses. I would definitely stay here again, especially with family. The rooms are large (we had a twin) compared to a lot of European hotels. You can't beat it for the location and value.

The sheer size of the rooms was fantastic and the breakfast was one of the best ever. The staff were also very helpful and friendly.

As with many establishments that have a spa connected to them, we experience challenges in gown sizes. My partner is muscular and 6ft6. The XL gowns are the largest they have and they did inform us that these are even larger than usual, but they are not. He struggled to fit into his and he is not fat. I am a bigger guy and would need XXL. Being told that XL is the largest makes one feel unwelcome as a bigger person. The reality is that many people do need bigger sizes. Perhaps it's the image of the establishment that is more important than meeting customer's needs. The beds were also a little too soft for our liking.

Location is very convenient given proximity to the Hauptbahnhof (train station). The room was very well thought out, beds and pillows were very comfortable. Well suited to business travellers or, like us, tourists on their last leg of their trip and needing a room that was well appointed and just made sense in terms of its layout, functionality, and convenience. If you‘re looking for quirky charm, this hotel is not for you. If you‘re looking for a hotel room that reflects German engineering, logic and form following function, this is the hotel for you. ;)

Only thing that went mildly wrong was an issue with the hot water boiler one morning where hot water wasn‘t available for a while. Front desk indicated that part of the issue was the volume of guests trying to take showers at the same time.
