Leonardo Hotel Berlin Mitte

The location was excellent. Walking distance to the central train station (hbf) and Friedrichstrafze Station, trams and boats. Surrounded by food outlets and 5 minutes walk to shops. I felt very safe there. The hotel was clean, the room had space to move and there were tea and coffee making facilities as well as a fridge.

The walls were quite thin and I had very noisy neighbours who had nightly parties. My first request to do something went unheard. When I requested to move rooms however, they were very quick to act with no qualms. The pillows were so soft I found it more comfortable to sleep without.

Leonardo Mitte was a great experience and perfect for our quick 4 night visit to Berlin Central Location was fantastic, straight in from the airport on S9, 5 easy mins walking from Friedrichstrasse station. Heavy bags? No problem, elevators, escalators and also loads of food available at the station, including a small supermarket at the station. Brandenberg Tor is one stop or a 15 to 20 min walk away. Our “comfort” room was smallish but appeared bigger than the photos, super high ceiling helped and was well designed. Room was well equipped, with good air conditioning and a small usable fridge. Very handy. (Previous hotel had a bar fridge but if you moved anything in it you were charged - in reality there was no fridge!) We didn’t have a view but it was very hot outside so we were able to open a window for some fresh air (as opposed to always aircon) and it was still quiet. If staying in winter would advise specifying a room with a city view. Staff were delightful, could not have been more friendly or helpful. Concierge always full of advice and good ideas. Breakfast was copious and had something for everyone. If breakfast isn’t your thing there is tea and coffee available in the foyer - also cooling fruit-infused water. Loads of places around, and at the station, to grab a quick bite to eat. We really enjoyed our Berlin experience and would not hesitate to stay at Leonardo Mitte again. Although a little more expensive than other places we could’ve stayed, it was well worth it.

In winter would definitely request a room with a view. Internal courtyard view was ok but Berlin in all of its glory would’ve been better.

great staff, very nice and efficient, and the superior room had a wonderful view. The business center and the quiet convenient location are also appreciated.

the bathroom soap is very agressive for the skin, I wish they could change the formula and perhaps switch to a European producer for the hotels in Europe

Excellent location. Very easy to get there from BET airport by train, with train tickets costing a very reasonable fee. Very close to the centre, with easy connection (via U-Bahn or S-Bahn) to all the most important areas of the city. Rooms were comfortable, although just the right size. Beds were comfortable and the shower was good. Very surprised by the high quality of the soap and shower/hair gel in the bathroom/shower. There was enough space to hand the clothes for a 5-day visit. WiFi was free and pretty fast and reliable. Very close to bars/restaurants on the canal.

Aircon was a bit noisy. Pillows a bit too soft. There were no drawers for the clothes, and the hanging space was quite small - if we were planning a longer stay we might not have had enough space/hangers for our clothes.

Lovely hotel, great location and to be able to walk every every is really important. It wasn't noisy at all so had fabulous nights sleep. Bedroom clean. Bed super cosy. Not too hot and not too cold. Perfect. Bathroom, basic but functional and good. Fabulous hot shower. But may need an air freshener or something but luckily we travel with one. Hotel in good condition Breakfast, great and sufficient. If only there were more hot food options. All the staff were great and pleasant.

Only issue that we found was that 18sq meters is really not enough for a couple with two suitcases. We found it very difficult to keep them open.

Friendly and helpful staff and the reception functions 24/7. All the staff could communicate in impeccable English. The hotel is in the heart of Berlin Old Town, just next to the Spree River and Friedrichstraße metro station. I'd give 10/10 for location. We were able to reach most places within 10-15 minutes and many sites are within walking distance from here. We felt very safe and comfortable in that area. There are lots of riverside restaurants of repute nearby too. The breakfast was pretty good. Nothing exceptional. But whatever they had tasted good. It was well organised and there are enough table to accommodate everyone. Even the guests in the hotel have this positive vibe with everyone smiling at each other. The decor of the hotel is artsy and gives a beautiful vibe. It is a well-maintained hotel and I will only stay here whenever I visit Berlin again. Strongly recommended.

The location is excellent - walking distance to the main attractions of the city and right next to a train and metro station. Very clean and spacious enough room, balcony, very good water pressure. The staff is really welcoming and nice. Quick check in and check out.

The mattress and pillows are not very comfortable, we're probably old and that's the main reason, but we had sore backs and necks all through the stay. The furniture is a bit worn, which minding the not very cheap prices could be fixed.

Great location, can walk to virtually all attractions, subway and central train station are within 5-10 minutes. Very helpful and friendly staff, I was first time in Copenhagen, they helped me navigate around.

Breakfast was not good. It was not included into room price (frankly it should at this rate). I checked it out first but they couldn’t even do fried eggs for me. So I had breakfast at cafe nearby (012 cafe really good). Carpets in the room- I generally dont like, thought it was parquet based on pictures. And quite noise with some a/c block or something working in the backyard close to my room. Price also a bit on the expensive side.

The position of the hotel is great,it is close to the metro and train station so you can easily reach the hotel by train from Berlin Branderburg Airport.It is also on walking distance from the famous city attractions like Branderburg Gate,Reichstag and Museum Island.There are several nice restaurants on the bank of the river Spree just 3 min walk from the hotel with delicious food and nice atmosphere.The hotel staff is very kind and helpful.I would strongly recommend this nice hotel with perfect location for Berlin sightseeing.

I’ve liked everything.Just some small things like some drinks in the fridge that could be offered.

Location! The location next to the river Spree? very close to a major train and s-bahn station, very close to a lot of restaurants and also walkable to a lot of interesting sights.

The Wi-Fi is extremely bad. Breakfast expansive as in most hotels, but also not very… interesting? It is more a breakfast for your basic needs. If you just want a sandwich or something little, buy it somewhere else! I would also appreciate if the staff at the reception desk said Hello! once in a while when you pass them, instead of looking as all the people passing in front of them are invisible.
