Great room and bathroom, hot shower with great pressure, incredibly soft and comfortable towels. The bathroom has a bathtub and chromotherapy (which impressed us), as well as shampoo and soap with a high standard of aromas and quality. We stayed in a room at the end of the corridor with huge windows and very nice light in the room. Delicious bed! Very varied, tasty and high quality breakfast!

Don't park your car on the side street if you don't have the green sticker that authorizes you to have a car in Koln. Even if you pay for parking at the totem, you will still receive a fine of 100 euros!

A bit tucked away but well connected to public transport. The location suited us as we had a function at the Triangle.

Unfortunately there was a problem with the aircon in our room that could not be fixed during our stay. Also there was a very unpleasant smell in the reception area and some parts of the corridor that would need to be attended to.

So pleased I chose this hotel, originally chosen as attending an event at the Lanxess Arena. Perfect location for that as only steps across the road, but with an underground station so close by we were in the centre of Cologne within minutes. Nice to remove ourselves from the hustle and bustle of the centre. Big room, comfortable bed and great shower/bath. Breakfast was lovely with lots of choice. Bar area very nice with excellent cocktails! Wouldn’t hesitate to stay again, a perfect base to explore Cologne.

Absolutely nothing, would love to stay again!

Perfect location for a birthday concert at Lanxess. It was also easy to access public transit to get around the city for the rest of the stay. The breakfast was delicious and so were the French fries when we ordered a bedtime snack down in the restaurant. The historic aspects of the building were highlighted in interesting ways. We loved our stay!

We couldn’t afford to stay here every time we visit the city but it was great for a special weekend.

Réception staff were perplexingly unhelpful. They said at first that the parking was full and yet there were plenty of parking spaces. Upon checkout they asked me to pay for the parking but did not give me the token to get out of the parking (so we had to go back at the reception). The reception staff gave us the impression that they were totally surprised to see us and that they didn’t expect us to ask questions or guidance.

Great location for Lanxess Arena, right across the street, easy to find. The rooms are very spacious and having a fridge in the room is always a great bonus. Beautiful large windows, minimal decor but just about everything you need. Snack bar with chocolates, nuts, drinks and water available 24/7 at reception if you’re feeling peckish at odd hours. Staff super friendly and helpful.

From the welcome we received when we arrived, the advice we were given, to the cleanliness and comfort of the room, everything was excellent at the Stadtpalais. The breakfasts were plentiful and varied (perhaps could benefit from more regular replenishment when there are not many guests). The location of the hotel is also good - a few minutes walk to the city centre or very handy for public transport if you prefer.

Just one point, one which occurs all too frequently - the bathroom towels were small and quite worn. Such a small detail, but it lets a hotel down.

WATER! 😂 I was checking out, and I was thirsty. I asked for water, and the guy at reception explained to me where I could buy a bottle. Didn't offer a glass of water instead. He is a very nice man though otherwise. And all staffs that I met were amazing. 😅 Also, at this price, I think they can afford to include water bottles cause they provide a minibar and one bottle of water on the 1st day.

The first thing that I didn't like was that I had to pay 30€ extra for early check-in into the apartment even though I see that the hotel is not full. The other bad thing is that I asked to stay after checkout, which is at 12:00 p.m., to stay until 5,6 in the afternoon, where I was informed that it would cost me the full price, i.e. 150€

Excellent location, excellent WiFi without a single interruption and excellent flow. Restaurant and breakfast is 10/10 in terms of variety

Maybe the ventilation/air conditioning system should be fixed a bit, it's a bit noisy and looks like it hasn't been serviced for a long time
