Excellent value for the price I paid! Breakfast was hearty and had sufficient variety for my short stay. Stairs climbing is needed, but I had help with my luggage, which I appreciated! Rooms were small but comfy. Kitchen and cleaning staff were very friendly and helpful.

Some of the reception staff aren't the friendliest but they get the job done, so can't complain there. Wished there were simple facilities like fridge and kettle, but I managed to borrow a kettle (you need EUR10 cash, which will be refunded to you)

Hotel Eder was the perfect stay for us in Munich. We did our research before our stay and knew there was no lift and that the hotel was advertised as being somewhat basic. We found it charming and convenient. The staff, even at our late check in, were friendly and helpful. The provided breakfast was basic and of good quality. The breakfast room was quite cute. Our room was of good size on the front of the hotel. The bed was comfortable. If you’re looking for a simple stay in a convenient location, I’d highly recommend it.

Good location for main train station, trams and underground. The breakfasts were nice with a good selection of food items for my family. On asking they provided me with Oatly as I can’t drink dairy milk so I was able to have a coffee.

On arrival our bathroom had no hand soap. I was given hair and body gel to replace the soap dispenser myself. The bathroom doors aren’t very private, frosted glass and no lock. The pillows are needing renewed as they are flat and have no middle. unfortunately the hotel didn’t have enough to give us a second pillow each (family of 4) we did receive 2 extra.

Location is very central, you can reach everything on foot. Clean. The bed is comfortable. Breakfast is good and you can have all types of food. Fresh bakery products. The room-size is enough for 1 person and for me it was well-equipped. The staff were very nice and flexible, helpful with all of my needs. I remember when I booked this room, it was one of the cheapest for a solo traveler.

Loud and noisy. It could be because of the building construction (thin walls) and due to the unrespect from other guests (ie: loud talks from the corridor in the middle of the night).

Great hidden gem not too far from the main station. The decor is old German and very inviting. However the best aspect about this hotel are the staff. They couldn’t be more helpful. All those on reception were engaging, made time for all the customers and made you feel really at home.

No lift and no Aircon. Anyone who has stayed in Munich in the summer knows how humid it can be so aircon is a must. Being in the street side opening the windows made it too noisy but had to happen in the end. I was lucky being on 1st floor but anyone with mobility issues will struggle.

Hotel was fine except it had major building works going on next door. Had large room. Excellent breakfast. Good value for money. Pleasant staff. Near the station. Ideal to walk around Munich which was very busy. Went to the Marienplatz. Travelled by tram to Nymphenburg Palace which was beautiful. Hotel gets discount on parking nearby. You need to get the hotel to validate the ticket. Ours didn't work but the operator at the car park machine let us have it at the reduced price of 14 euros a day instead of 28.

Noise from the building site next door. Should have been informed of this before our stay.

Really loved your staff. Excellent breakfast. Great location.

The only challenge we had were the many steps (no lift) -- but we had not inquired about that ahead of time. The hotel was fully booked for a concert or the staff would have accommodated our request for a lower level room if we had noted that earlier in our reservation. We are all over age 70, but the stairs got us back into shape. Still, you may want to note for older travelers that there is no lift so they may want to request a lower level room if steps are a challenge for them.

Great location, close to the main station and Karlsplatz station, which we walked through to get to Marienplatz. This avoided crossing streets with multiple tram lines and walking past the homeless people. Our room was on the second floor, we had tea and coffee facilities, and a walkin shower. The breakfast was superb with plenty of choices, 3 cereals, lots of bread choices, cold cuts, cheeses, fresh fruit and vegetables, canned and dried fruit, yoghurt, hot boiled eggs, cakes as well as spreads. Fruit juices and a coffee machine.

The hotel is very central to many things. Only a few minutes walk to the main Munich Central station. Very pleasant ambience and nicely decorated. In a quiet street. Very clean. Great supermarket nearby in tram subway. Other shops and Old Town within easy walking distance. Staff very helpful. Although my single room was small it was still very comfortable. Lovely indoor/outdoor garden area. Lovely breakfast room.

No lift but as I had a room on the ground floor it was no problem.

the location of this hotel is excellent 400 meters from the main train station and very close to shops restaurants and foe sight seeing, the breakfast was ok sufficient but personally I like a hot breakfast which was not available here but what they did provide was good. We booked a three adult room 9my wife and I plus my sister in law) the room was ok a single bed and two singles pushed together but it did not make a double as the was a gap in-between which was a little bit annoying but not the end of the world. My only complaint was that being an old building there was no elevator and and it was a real struggle to get the suitcases up the stairs travelling from Australia with two women for 5 weeks and all the winter clothes that they brought with them was really difficult as we are all in our mid to late sixties it would have been nice if the hotel offered some assistance. Overall a pleasant stay and would use the hotel agin if I ever return to Munich.
