The place was clean. About 10 minutes from it there was public transport, such as U-Bahn and S-Bahn. The staff was nice and welcoming. They were willing to help us with any questions or needs we had.

The breakfast was not abundant. The restaurant where it takes place was rather small and you could sometimes bump around other people’s tables as the space is so small. The staff serving the breakfast was nice enough, but there were too many people, which also contributed to the enclosed space feeling even smaller. There were a few essential things missing in the room, such as slippers, bags for dirty laundry. The tiles in the bathroom were extremely cold, we had to put towels on the floor to be able to stand in the bathroom.

As it was located in a residential neighborhood where all the surrounding buildings were apartments, it was fairly quiet. The room was a decent size and the beds were fine although the pillows were very squishy. The bathroom was kept very clean and towels were refreshed daily (no green program here). Breakfast was good and you could sit in the courtyard if you wanted. The courtyard was also available if you wanted to sit out during the day or evening. The tram stop is a less than 10 minute walk away so you can get around the city, but (not in the hotel’s control) transit tickets are 1,80 each and you can only go 1 zone on 1 ticket so it’s kind of expensive to use public transit in Munich.

The water was hot but you could only use the handheld shower nozzle and be careful which direction you sprayed the water or you got the bathmat and the floor all wet. We would have liked more dinner restaurants within a closer walking distance of the hotel. (The hotel’s restaurant is not operating now.) We thought that staff at the front desk and at breakfast could have been friendlier.

Size of the room. Good location and easy access to U Bahn. Very clean rooms. Very good quality bathroom cosmetics. Long breakfast. Very kind staff.

No coffee machine for quests.. Black coffee served in flasks or cups. Poor quality coffee. All channels on TV in German, some im Russian, only one information channel in English. No King size bed but two single put together instead, booking ad was saying one double bed. No answers from the hotel on special request send via booking but solved right away on site. Small restaurant.

Room was pretty spacious and had a small balcony, looking onto the quiet street. Service was efficient and polite.

Hotel is on a quiet, but "life devoid" street, removed from any sights of interest. Hauptbanhof is some 20 mins away on foot, Marienplatz about 36-40 mins away, etc. Breakfast was good but not superb. Choice of coffee, as well as of fruits, was quite limited. Breakfast area is kind of crampy, with tables sticking close and narrow passages between/behind them. However, if the weather is nice, there is an opportunity to have breakfast outside, in a small backyard garden

The location was great, a nice walk to the old town, many restaurants nearby. Room was comfortable, breakfast was good. Convenient parking garage. staff (Michael) was very kind and helpful the entire stay. He helped us from the moment we checked in and tried to find the parking garage, to helping us find a local restaurant, and figuring out laundry.

We had not known before arriving that the restaurant was closed. We had seen on booking.com that there was a restaurant, but we may have missed that is was not open?

The hotel is well maintained both outside and the interior. The staff spoke very good English, which is far better than my German. Alll the hotel employees we interacted with were pleasant and courteous. The buffet breakfast was excellant with a wide choice of hot food, cold meats & cheese, fruits and cereals. A very good selection of breads and rolls was available when we stayed. The hotel is around 500 metres from the Lowenbrau beer garden/keller which suited us for some of our evening meals. The brewery itself was even closer. As we were visiting other parts of Bavaria, we walked to the Central Train Station which took about 10 minutes from the hotel.

The main bar and restaurant were not open which was a shame as some nights it would have been nice to return to the hotel to eat. Depending on the day and time you went down to breakfast, there could sometimes be a wait to be seated as the eating area could be busy.

I include this hotel definitely among better ones, it is clean, although the cleaning staff may not have noticed the dust on the shelves. The breakfast was excellent, except for the coffee, which was watery and I had to take one good in the city afterwards. Some small details can be improved, but which do not spoil the overall good impression. I would love to come back again when I need to sleep in Munich.

You can't reach the shower hose without getting into the tub. Weak coffee for breakfast.

Very clean and comfortable modern with warmth, quite location but accessibility to public transport 8 minutes from Underground. One stop from main station, 2 stops from Marianplatzs. Great breakfast. AC works.

No coffee facilities in room and Bar closed late evening so no coffee. However nice pub/ restaurant to left at end of block with great service and serve coffee if you want a late night cup. :)

We loved our stay at Hotel Erzgiesserei! The room is spacious, clean, and comfortable. It's a 5 minute walk to the nearest metro stop and only 1 stop away to the central train station (Hauptbahnhof). The breakfast buffet was excellent and the staff was very accommodating and helpful in answering our questions. Definitely close enough to the city center, but I enjoyed the area the hotel was in because it's more quiet. Would definitely stay here again!

The WiFi in our room did not work, I think due to us being in a corner room. However, the WiFi was great downstairs. If you are planning on working from the hotel, double check what room you will be staying in as it seems not all rooms have equitable access to the WiFi. However, since we were here on vacation, this did not impact our stay.

The hotel was in a central classy location a few minutes walk from the trans and U lines. The rooms were big and well furnished, although the bathroom was a bit small, it was still okay. You could ask for a Kettle from reception. Breakfast was varied and tasty, coffee from a starbucks like coffee machine was amazing.

we were in april and heating was still on which was suffocating at times and we couldnt turn the heating off.
