Gorgeous views from the Falcon Nest Room and even heated tile floor in the bathing area. So many windows for a refreshing cross breeze!
The clock tower chimes every hour so we could have used some ear plugs at night.

The building has fabulous character, and was right in the old town, so a perfect spot. Close to the edge, where there's a small park and views across the river valley. Staff were very helpful, and breakfast plenty. Room and bed very comfortable. Our dog enjoyed her stay too in this beautiful hotel and city. Easy to offload luggage from our car right outside. Just 2 minute walk from city centre. Fantastic medieval city.
Room got very hot at night, although the outside temperature was cool. We were lucky that the staff found us a desk fan for our second and third nights which may things much better. Staff member quite loud in the street, which echoed due to the narrow stonewalled street and woke us early. Restaurant was handy, but food wasn't that great so we ate elsewhere for all other lunch and dinner meals.

Erika at reception was great!! Our car battery was dead the morning of departure. Having no luck with our rental car company, and not speaking German, we called her, and she sent someone to the parking lot to help us right away. Thank you, Erika! Location was great if you want to be inside the city center, and close to everything. Parking is some distance away, but Erika helps you with that, also.
Our room and bathroom were very small. But, in all fairness, I did choose the lowest priced room. If you want a larger, and more comfortable space, you should go up a level or two in price when booking. Other than that, no complaints.

Hotel Klosterstuble is a gem. At the western end of Herrngasse, you're at a quiter end of the city center. Next door to the beautiful Franziskaner church, a 1 minute walk to the Burggarten, and just a quick 3 minute stroll up to the central market place. The hotel is historic but modernized: it even has air conditioning, which we learned is a rare find in Europe! We were able to find street parking only steps from the entrance, and only 20 euro per night for the parking permit.
We had 2 rooms and unfortunately they were in different parts of the hotel. There is also not an elevator for one half of the hotel, so you may have to hoof your luggage up several flights of stairs. Rothenburg, if you don't know it, was NOT made for automobiles, particularly large ones, so just know that it'll be precarious getting in and out of the city walls. There is overnight parking (cheaper, too) outside the city walls, but dragging your rolling luggage across cobblestone streets could also be a challenge.

We loved that it was located right inside the walled town, there was nearby parking, it was right by an old gated entrance to the town with a beautiful park and a beautiful view beyond the wall of the town. We were also a very short walk from the center of the town. The property itself is old and rustic but still clean and comfortable and was the perfect experience for staying in the old town of Rothenburg. We were traveling as a big family of 8 and one of our rooms was a big family room with air conditioning and lots of space. Erika at the front desk is very kind and helpful. We would definitely stay here again if we go back.

Wonderful location, walk out door to everything but quiet 2 windows to look out, let in breeze, fan provided as no air con, but room was cool enough even on 29 degree days.nice staff, easy enough 6 euro parking no. 5 outside walls. Lovely old building with charm, restaurant dinner very good.
Unnecessary furnishings clutter room, like a display cabinet and 2 coffee tables instead of a practical rack or shelf for luggage. No tea, coffee making, no fridge, but staff obliged with ice. Absolutely fine for 2 nights and carry ons, but would be squishy w large luggage

Ideal location in the center of the city. Beautifully decorated older building with a cozy room, comfortable bed, and the most pleasant people at the desk. Don't pass up breakfast - it has everything to try, small separate dishes for serving, and delicious made to order eggs. Be sure to reserve breakfast and the attached restaurant for dinner - you won't be disappointed. Couldn't have imagined a better place to stay, this was perfect!
Restaurant is well sought after and we forgot to reserve and couldn't find a seat for dinner (our mistake).

We were a family of 4 (2 adult children) traveling together, and so we booked 3 rooms. We stayed in the studio, while the kids stayed in singles. The studio was so roomy and comfortable, with modern amenities, a kitchenette, and small seating area. This was absolutely our favorite stay in Germany, for all of us. What a charming place! We were traveling by car, so we were able to drive to the hotel to drop off luggage, and then parked outside the walls in the P5 parking lot. It was a pleasant 10 minute walk through the lovely town. Erika is so friendly and helpful, and it was a joy to stay here. I wish it could have been more than just one night!

Great family room with 3 beds. Lots of people complained about squeaky floors keeping them up. We had no issues, other comments of no water or fans seem to be resolved as well. We entered our room and had a portable fan there waiting. Beds were super comfy. Great location with extremely short walk to the market square.
Would really be nice to have a mini fridge in the room. Gets old drinking room temp beverages I bought. They have a central fridge that you can purchase on the reception floor. Just would be nice to have the ability to chill your own drinks.
