Great location right outside the Historical center of Rothenburg, modern hotel with a fantastic restaurant. The staff are ‘radiating’ this special ‘energy’ that they are doing something special and extra-ordinary at this Hotel & restaurant. We liked that very much. The team is injecting a lot of passion in what they do at Mittermeier. THe restaurant is ‘something’ else: we had a fantastic 5 course diner (you can go up to 7) with the wine recommendation of the house. We were taken care of from the moment we walked in and had a fantastic evening.

Two small things to improve: 1. The bed & bed coveris too short, just 200cm. Had it been a bit wider, this could have solved it. 2. The hotel has succumbed to the ‘popular’ habit these days, to integrate the bathroom into the sleeping area. We know that many hotels do that these days, in an effort to be hip and ‘modern’. However, we don’t like it. There is a reason, why the bathroom is separate in most buildings, rooms, etc….

The location, just outside the city walls and within easy reach of the railway station, was excellent. The rooms were in a recently renovated beautiful building next to the original hotel, designer-furnished in a minimalist modern style. Breakfast was supplementary and somewhat expensive (EUR 25) but excellent and worth the extra price.

The minimalist design of the rooms suggests visitors come without luggage and little more than one set of clothes, and spend most of their time either in bed or in the common kitchen annex dining room. Lighting in the room is insufficient for those who want to read in the evening. (But at my request, the staff brought an additional reading lamp.)

Fabulous location , short walk into the old town , loved the concept of a shared kitchen and the trust idea was fab , tea, coffee , water , fruit was free and then there where snacks , wine , beer and gin that you could have just by ticking a sheet and paying on checkout , fabulous idea . Felt very at home ,comfortable, nice seating area outside just a fab place . Oh and a very comfy bed .

Loved the room. We were top floor and high ceilings. Spacious. Open bathroom not an issue for us. Kitchen very handy and everything you could need. Staff very helpful and friendly. Location is perfect. Free parking a bonus. Quiet rooms and location.

Bed was sloped to sides but comfortable. But you will roll a bit to the edge if you side sleep as I do. Faucet, while looks nice blocks half of sink. No much lighting in toilet. No elevator if you do not pack light.

We love everything about this hotel! The room is just amazing, it's spacious, clean, comfortable and well designed. The shower room is big and the water pressure is really good. The huge bathtub is a big plus too. There's a well equip kitchen in the hotel and guests are welcome to cook there. We are from Asia and loves instant noodle so much, and after 3 weeks in Europe and not eating it once, it comes to our surprise that there's instant noodle in the kitchen and we were so happy to see it, thumbs up for this! This place and the whole town is just too amazing and we will definitely come back here again!

Nothing at all

The location was excellent. I was easily able to walk through the city walls to visit the historic sites and wander through shops. I didn't eat breakfast at Mittermeiers as I was just looking for a light breakfast rather than a full buffet. If I return, I'll definitely try the Mittermeiers breakfast. Check-in was very easy and I was given access to my room a little early. The staff was very friendly and accomodating. Parking was excellent, right at the property. I was able to leave my car there for a few extra hours after check out as I wanted more time in the city.

I don't have any recommendations for improvement.

Right outside the medieval wall of Rothenburg. Beautiful “trust kitchen” with everything needed. What a nice bonus! Room a little small but very clean and comfortable, especially great with air conditioning and free parking. Friendly staff. Would definitely stay again (& I don’t say that often).

Not much bathroom privacy with the sliding glass wall that covers the shower too. A bit on the expensive side but high quality.

Everyone working there was sooo helpful and friendly. I cannot get over how amazing the hotel was. I also absolutely loved the bath tub in my room. The shared kitchen is also a super cool concept. The hotel is right at the doorstep of the Old Town so the location cannot be any better.

Location 10 out of 10 considering we can park our car directly in front of the accommodation. Within about 400Meters we are at the old town's gate, where we can explore the outside park of the wall and also the steps to the wall, the Marktplatz of Rothenburg is also just 5 minutes stroll away. Staff super friendly and attentive, always smiling and greeting us with the best attitude! The room was very cosy and nicely set up, we were surprised with a swing in our room and the kids spent all the time in the room on the swings. We travelled with a dog and they also set up bowls and blanket for our furry friend. Everything was take care of.

Nothing really. Would highly recommend this hotel as the first choice around Rothenburg.

Great room and concept :) There was quality in every piece of equipment, thoughtful solutions. Very functional space and a fantastic terrace where you can spend a nice time with other guests. Very comfortable bed :)
