The staff was very friendly and helpful, the room was spacious and the bed was VERY comfortable, and the location was absolutely excellent. We live in Germany, and this was our first time to Trier. We will be staying at this hotel every time we return from here on out. We will also be bringing family members to this hotel when they come to visit. The free breakfast was also excellent- included with the cost of our particular room, and great quality food with large selection. Such a great experience overall!

Everything about Ibis Styles Trier was amazing - the location was superb (in e courtyard of a lovely refurbished historic building) - right in the middle of the old Roman city and easily accessible to the sites of interest. The breakfast was one of the best I have ever had in a hotel and the cost of the room extremely reasonable. Plus the staff were very helpful.

The wifi did not work well at all and when we told the staff on leaving, they were very apologetic and assured us they would be addressing the issue - plus, they opened up the drinks vending machine to give us a compensatory bottle!

We were traveling with our small daughter, and -in contrast to other hotels we have been to before- we found the crip perfectly equipped with a changing table, pillow and comforter, and sheets in our room when we checked in, which was perfect. The building previously belonged to the post and is located close to the Porta Nigra and is very nicely renovated. The rooms are not only stylish but also very practical and offer a lot of space. There is a huge selection for breakfast - from scrambled eggs to fruits and cornflakes.

Central courtyard with restaurants was nice and the rooms were well sized for a European hotel.

Our room was facing the courtyard and it was a bit noisy and bright so needed to close windows and curtains for privacy. It wasn't so hot we needed to use cooling of AC - just wanted to to turn on the central air fan to circulate the air but it wasn't working. Breakfast had many options but felt like something every chain hotel offers with fountain juices and coffee machine.

What a super hotel, modern, swish and great location. Rooms are airy and it was very clean. Bathroom was well appointed with a great walk in wet room shower. Lovely touch with complimentary tea, coffee and fruit in the foyer. Breakfast was a really well stocked buffet and staff were attentive. Parking was secure and really good value for the city. A fantastic pizza restaurant just outside the hotel which offered amazing pizzas.

The location was excellent! Right in the heart of Trier and extremely close to the city sights- all are within walking distance. The hotel is modern, clean, has comfortable beds and the breakfast was good. I would choose this hotel again due to location and value.

The staff seemed inexperienced and while they tried to be helpful, they weren’t when we asked for directions, information and recommendations.

wheelchair accessible room was big but the bathroom was let down my poor design (designed by non wheelchair users). shower floor was angled for drainage which meant wheelchair wasn’t stable for transfers. soap dispensers set equidistant between shower & sink (great if you’re washing/showering out of reach of a water source). it wasn’t a major problem, just lack of soap in bathroom, or complimentary water (or even a glass) or tea/coffee making facilities just felt a little cheap.

Big, spacious, nicely decorated room, where you can sit on the window sill and admire some stylish architecture. The breakfast selection is good, too. Also, the staff is very friendly and helpful. And, if course, great location, right in the heart of the city, with all points if interest within walking range + 3 mins (or less) away from a parking house.

Maybe it's just me, but so far I've had a mini fridge in every hotel room where I stayed, even if it was just a regular, non-fancy room, so I thought this was standard everywhere. Well, not here. And right when I'd have actually needed it... Oh well, will need to check the room feature lists more thorougly next time.

Location above courtyard restaurants gave a nice atmosphere but the noise was concentrated, particularly metal chairs scraping on the floor tiles!

Great location to visit the city, it was perfect to enjoy the Christmas market and it had lots of restaurants around. The bed was very comfortable and the staff were friendly and helpful. We also enjoyed the breakfast options.

The room was quite small, but the nice decoration made it feel comfortable. The facilities could be improved, but it was perfect for a short weekend break.
