The location of the hotel is perfect. If you arrive earlier in the day you can drop your bags off at the front door, otherwise, there is a parking lot where you can park briefly as you walk to the hotel down the cobblestone pedestrian zone. There is long term parking at the Mercure Hotel across from the Porta Negra. The hotel is comfortable and the staff are helpful and supportive. The hotel does have an elevator for the upper floors. The hotel room (suite) exceeded my expectations. The room was large with lots of windows along with a bonus space upstairs if you were bringing other family members, a shared outdoor patio. The bathroom was large and I enjoyed the luxurious bathtub. Another bonus was the superb WIFI which was very fast. The breakfast is lovely, the restaurant is worth making a reservation, and I recommend making a reservation before arriving. This is my perfect Trier hotel and I wouldn't stay anywhere else.

Our room was superb, with a raised seating area by the window and a large very comfortable bed. Plenty of lights, lots of space and absolutely spotless. Fresh fruit in a bowl on the table. Location was excellent with easy walking to the train station and also the Porta Nigra. Just round the corner from the Hauptmarkt. Staff were all very friendly.

Breakfast coffee was very poor. No coffee machine or kettle in the room, although the large complimentary bottle of mineral water was replenished every day which was nice.

The property was located down a lovely side street right in the centre of Trier. Perfect location. The building and rooms itself was exquisite. It really felt like you were cared about, not like chain hotels. A real family feel and the lady was extremely welcoming and pleasant. My mum and I were extremely pleased with our experience and would come again.

The room was extremely clean. Staff so kind and helpful. One kind lady helped me with my suitcase to the next floor. The bathroom was fantastic and had the best shower I have ever had! Some nice touches in the room; fruit and chocs; umbrella in case of rain - heh! Welcome glass of local wine was lovely. The position was fabulous for the centre of Trier and the Porte Nigra. Thank you.

We were welcomed with a glass of Sekt, which was a lovely greeting. Our room was very comfortable and the hotel is very. central and perfect for exploring the city. We had booked dinner elsewhere but would have happily eaten in the hotel which offered traditional German fare. Breakfast was very good and when we checked out we were given a complimentary jar of homemade jam! How nice.

The staff are very friendly and helpful. Anything we asked for while staying there, they were able to assist us. They assisted with holding our luggage for a few days while we were away, the did our laundry for us when we asked, the breakfast is delicious and the restaurant food and service was excellent. The room we had was very clean, bed was comfortable, and we had a private balcony which was really nice and we were able to have dinner on the balcony. I highly recommend this hotel. The staff there can also speak and understand english. Silvia at the front desk provided us with excellent customer service.

Every thing was exceptional. There is nothing that I didn't like. I absolutely love this hotel and is scheduled to stay there one last time before heading home to the US.

room was very comfortable, but there were only stairs to the upper floor so we had to climb. One was of the reasons i booked this hotel was that he had an elevator, which sadly was not available. Breakfast was lovely, great food and a nice arrangement. The hotel has a very good restaurant, we ate at the cellar which was a great experience.

The hotel is super centrally located; from there you can reach everything by foot. The entrance and reception are inconspicuous, but what awaits you on the upper floors is top. My room was not ready yet, but no surprise as I arrived way too early. Instead of making me wait, the exceptionally nice receptionist gave me an upgrade to a wonderful, large room including a large balcony. The room was very lovingly decorated with high quality furniture and had every conceivable comfort, as well as a large and smartly sized bathroom with marble fixtures. A selection of fresh fruit and a bottle of sparkling water rounded out the experience. For the evening, I was reserved a table in the in-house restaurant, where I also had a top dinner. Again, the service was perfect. There is absolutely nothing to complain about.

The location of the hotel was ideal,close to all the city's attractions and shops. The bedroom was spacious. It was very clean. The view from the window was of the cathedral. It had it's own balcony. It contained all the amenities you would expect from a 4 star hotel. The breakfast was excellent.
