The location is fantastic, the staff are really friendly and the breakfasts lovely.

Beware - we booked a superior suite balcony sea view and hamman and assumed that all the pictures of the room were of the room we were booking . This meant we were expecting two bedrooms (suite) and a roof terrace which felt about right for the price. When we arrived we were given a room with extra bed on the side (for our daughter) and a teeny balcony only really big enough for two chairs (there were three of is). When we raised this we were told that the pics are of all the rooms of this ‘type’. I flagged that this is quite misleading and she agreed and said she would raise it with the manager (again - had been flagged by previous guests). Lovely place but be sure you know what you are getting for your money.

If you ever are in Chania, don't look further and book the Hotel Belmondo. Outstanding location within the heart of the historic town with breathtaking views on the old harbour. The rooms have character and are very comfortable. You will also appreciate the attention to every single detail. To top it up, Dora and the team are so welcoming, friendly, and always there to help. They really contributed to making sure we had an amazing experience, and for that, I am grateful, too. I would not hesitate to highly recommend Hotel Belmondo, and should I come back to Chania, it will be no doubt at Hotel Belmondo.

Location was fantastic. Right in the heart of the Old Town. Our room had a balcony on the town side which was fine, but for a little more you can get a balcony over the sea and waterfront side. Breakfast was outstanding! Beautiful omelettes, freshly squeezed orange juice, delicious fruit and Greek yoghurts, breads, jams and a pot of coffee. Dora (the owner) gives a very warm welcome, interested where you come from, your life and the staff are so helpful and pleasant too. Everyone really friendly. Shower/bathroom was excellent too.

you cannot get a better location than this property. It is not only in the heart of old town, it is also on the most beautiful street in old town. It is so picture perfect. The room was spacious, the staff was incredibly helpful. when you are ready to eat, you simply call down and They literally bring you an expensive breakfast right to your room. The staff also gave us excellent advice on when to go and when not to go to the beach based on the weather conditions. Give us great advice about hiking the SamariA gorge as well.

The Belmondo is a quaint beautiful hotel right on the beautiful Chania harbour. The room the Venezia suite had patio doors onto a large bacons which looked right over the harbour. The views were stunning. We were right in the midst of all the cafes shops and restaurants so lots of choice. The breakfasts delivered to our suite were lovely-Greek yogurt and fruit, eggs in many different forms each day and different breads or patties each day with fresh orange and coffee. We would definitely return.

Tranquility greets you as you climb the stairs from the busy streets of Chania to this charming hotel. Upon entering the cool, antiquated lobby you are greeted by friendly and knowledgeable, local staff that are excited to welcome you and share their love of their hotel, city and culture. While you check in you can partake in a welcome beverage and sweets and are personally escorted to your room and made to feel at home. The service gets even better when the next morning you are asked to phone down, at a time of your choosing (between a given period) and breakfast is brought to your room to enjoy at your leisure (and is included in the price of your stay). The beds are comfy, extra pillows were brought immediately when asked and our washroom was of a luxurious size! We looked onto the harbour, and could sit on our little balcony and watch the old city come to life each morning while planning our agenda for the day. While staying here there are so many options, but definitely do the walk to the lighthouse and definitely have some pizza at the Italian restaurant immediately below! Your room is made up upon your asking - so when you have had enough of the hustle and bustle, when you want to find some peace yet still feel part of this old city - come home to Belmondo to rejuvenate! Enjoy!

We did not receive the specific room that we had originally booked but the room we were given had many of the same features and we were charged the appropriate price for the room not the booking.

The view over the old harbour is outstanding. The bed super comfy and the private hammam in the bathroom a real treat that I wish more hotels would provide. Breakfast in the room was elegant and fresh. Efi was super nice to me, giving shopping and restaurant advice.

Not a dislike but do have a set of earplugs handy if, like me, you prefer to crack your windows open when sleeping. Overlooking the harbour means that you get some of the downstairs noise :) (totally removed with earplugs)

Unforgettable and amazing experience. When we arrived, there was an issue with the room we had originally reserved. We could have been given another similar room, but the hotel manager offered us an upgrade without any additional cost and we enjoyed an extraordinary suite with the best views to the Port of Chania one could imagine. Breakfast was delivered directly to our room every morning (outstanding variety and quality) and the location of the hotel is just amazing, in front of the sea and in the middle of the historic city center. Dora, the manager, was also extremely nice and welcomed, making our stay unique. Definitely the place to stay if you visit Chania.

Everything was perfect.

Belmondo Hotel and Suites is in an excellent location right on the harbor. It's in what appears to be an old Venetian mansion converted to basically a Bed and Breakfast. The rooms are beautifully decorated, and the location is walkable to everything in the Old City as well as the main bus terminal. We booked a room with a water view and balcony, and it was enormous. Getting breakfast served on the balcony was a lovely way to start the day. The staff is helpful and welcoming. Dora and Efi were wonderful.

Perfect location, very helpful and friendly staff, the room whilst not luxurious was very nice with a good terrace and loungers.All was kept spotless by housekeeping. Breakfast was served on the terrace and was always with a good selection and fresh fruit and coffee.

The room was a bit smaller than we were expecting, quite a small ( but good ) bathroom.Beds could have been a bit more comfortable..
