The staff was exceptional! Location was perfect for the Old Harbor, the beach, restaurants, the open market. The room was decorated well, the view was fantastic, bathroom was modern, hairdryer powerful, breakfast was plentiful, had variety and they cooked eggs in the morning. Did I mention how great the staff was? There is really nothing negative I can say. It has been my favorite hotel in Greece. I was able to walk from the bus station to the hotel. There was even a welcome drink! Room #8 was my room.

The hotel location was perfect, a few steps away from the harbour and within the old town. The design and furnishings are very in keeping with the buildings historical character. Staff were very warm and always happy to help.

The bed was a little hard for me (my family member had no issue) so the staff added a ‘topper’ which made it perfect.

Nice hotel, one minute away from the old venetian harbour of Chania. The stuff was super kind and helpful and everything went smoothly. The price was pretty good given that there was breakfast included. No excess luxuries, but overall good value for money.

Our room was a bit small (we had an "economy" room so this was to be expected) as well as the bed (there was no more space for bigger bed). The breakfast could have some more options with emphasis in local products. Despite being right next to the old port, our room had view only to a small street.

This hotel was absolutely fabulous in every aspect. The staff was available 24/7. They booked taxi transfers, hiking tours, city tours, and recommended beaches and restaurants that were fantastic. The breakfast that was served every day by ROULA (who was lovely) was delicious, on days when were were up and out early she would pack up us breakfast bags. The knowledgeable hosts at the front desk were so accommodating. They secured us a driver GEORGE who made our trip so very memorable. The room was enormous, the beds were comfortable and the location was right in the middle of the old city of Chania yet the room was completely silent at night. The air conditioning was great. The little sweets and Raki that they gave us upon arrival were the perfect start to an amazing vacation in Greece. 100% would stay here again and will highly recommend it to our friends.

I truly have nothing to write here. My daughters and I LOVED every single thing about this hotel and the family/friends/staff that run it.

The location was terrific, the breakfast was delicious and plentiful. We were given boxed breakfasts when we had an early morning tour with enough food for our breakfast and lunch that day. We love staying in a historic buildings with charm, but appreciated the updated bathroom and good air conditioning :) too. Best of all is the very friendly and helpful staff! I over research places to stay and then like to check out the accommodation I didn't chose, and I'm so happy we stayed at Porto del Colombo. Highly recommend this hotel.

One of our favorite hotels on our trip to Greece! This charming boutique hotel in a 1,000 year old building is updated with modern amenities and decor. The breakfast was delicious and the staff was very accommodating and helpful, including sending people to carry our bags for us to the hotel from where our bus had to park. The rooms and beds were comfortable. Right in the heart of the Old Town of Chania, within walking distance of cafes, restaurants and the best shopping we found in Greece. Would definitely recommend to anyone travelling to Crete!

Since there is no elevator in the building, getting up to the rooms was a bit difficult for those having trouble with stairs.

Exceptional old historical building full of character set in the Old Town with views of the light house and harbour. Clean and comfortable. Beautiful arched breakfast room with plenty of choice of breakfasts. Friendly, helpful staff. Rula and Flora were so helpful, giving us much information and making our trip the best it could be. We will definitely return.

There was absolutely nothing to dislike.

The hotel is located in the old city just off the old harbour and slightly removed from the haste and bustle so very quiet. The staff were lovely and helpful. Breakfast was amazing especially with the home made apple cake. The breakfast hall opened to a small ally so we had our breakfast outside.

Perhaps the decor is a bit dated but it did not deter from the experience. I can't really think of anything I didn't like. We all wished we could stay longer.

A wonderful stay in Old Town Chania. Exceptional breakfast and was provided with a to-go breakfast bag when I checked out for my early flight. Old character charm but nice, modern bathroom. Staff shared some of their favourite sites and restaurants and arranged a taxi for me to the airport. Not an issue for me, but there isn’t an elevator.

Sound carries easily - could hear people coming and going late at night and early in the morning.

The building is gorgeous and has such a rich history, with an absolutely perfect location. It was an historic area and somehow quiet, with a 2 minute walk to the water, restaurants, and shops. The staff was so friendly and helpful with our requests, and the breakfast was phenomenal. Very much enjoyed our stay!

The room could have benefited from a fan to keep the air moving, and it may have been helpful to know there was no elevator.
