The location is central which makes it fun and easy to go around

I wish I had gotten instructions on how to come and NOT DRIVE A CAR to the property well ahead of my arrival to make things simple. Google maps has you drive in a pedestrian zone and parking in Hania is difficult. Park at thalo parking and walk the short walk!!

Perfect location, right at the Venetian Port and within few minutes walking distance from anything important in the Old Town, while very well connected to the rest of the city as well. The staff was super friendly and helpful, and they made my accommodation so much more pleasant 😊 I highly recommend it!

The windows of the room overlooked a terrace where people would walk, reason why I had to keep them and the blinders shut all the time. For someone who loves natural light, especially in the morning, it was a bit daunting not having any of it throughout my whole stay.

The hotel is in an excellent location for being in the centre of the Old Town. The staff are warm and friendly and everything is laid out well with the best view from the rooftop. For 3 night's stay as a base to visit other places, and for value for money, the hotel couldn't be faulted.

These are minor dislikes, but as all the buildings in the old town are so old, these can't be helped. Our floor was concrete, but the above floor was wooden, so it was quite noisy when the person above us walked a few steps. Best to be on the upper floor than underneath! The room was quite dark, but we were in a very narrow street, so it couldn't be helped. Maybe better lighting. The shower temperature was difficult to manage, but it did its job. These can be overlooked over the cleanliness, location and great staff.

Nostos is a fantastic, quirky hotel in the centre of Chania's Old Town, very close to the harbour. Our room was large, spacious and airy, and opened onto an amazing rooftop garden, with beautiful plants, and great views over the city. The decor is unique and comfortable, and the friendly, welcoming staff made us feel at home, and helped out with all our requests and questions.

Absolutely nothing. This was exactly the sort of place we were looking for, relaxed, unfussy and quiet. It doesn't perhaps have all the facilities a family might expect, but that only makes it ideal for couples and solo travellers.

This was an old hotel, which was the reason we chose it. It was quirky with lots of nooks and crannies and the owner's lifetime of collecting was evident everywhere. Our room had a spectacular view of the harbour and the famous lighthouse, and was right in the middle of the old town. The staff were fantastic - friendly and welcoming with nothing too much trouble. Continental breakfast was really good. We will definitely be back.

A little noisy at night, but we expected that, given the location.

We wanted a traditional, quirky hotel and this was just right. It is in the heart of the old town of Chania, close to the old harbour and all of the restaurants, tavernas and shops - somehere different to eat every night within a few minutes walking and all great value. There is a lovely roof terrace overlooking the harbour and Venetian lighthouse. The hosts were always very friendly and helpful. The continental breakfast (often served in the narrow street in front of the hotel) was well presented and filling. What a great place for people watching. Our room was on two levels with the bed on an upstairs mezzanine - the bathroom was very clean and a good size.

We had a very limited view from the room, but this was inevitable because it overlooked a narrow street in a very old town. The stairs down from the bed on the mezzanine were very steep and a little scary first thing in the morning when making haste to the bathroom - particularly after walking down Samaria Gorge!

Location - a great location overlooking the old harbour and we had a lovely balcony with a table and chairs. Nice big, airy room with a comfortable bed and a sofa. Incredible view from the balcony.

It was quite noisy, which is to be expected being so close to the harbour and all the cafe/bars etc. There was a kettle and 2 cups but nothing else - no tea bags/coffee etc, not sure why they provide this if there is nothing to make?! Perhaps a little expensive....compared to others in a similar location.

Very cute, characterful room. Usually single rooms are the worst but this had the bed on a mezzanine floor with steps up and the bathroom underneath. It really made the most of the original features in the building. The location is superb, right on the harbour but tucked just behind the busy seafront.

Because the window looked out onto the steps up to the roof terrace, I felt I had to keep the shutters closed if the light was on in the room. The room smelt damp, but it is an old Venetian building.

This is a charming hotel in an excellent location for the town centre and harbour front, both a few minutes away. The property is full of charecter and decorated in a querky and retro way, giving it a timeless sense and fitting in perfectly with the charecter of the old town of Chania. There is a beautiful roof terrace with plenty of shade and a clear view of the harbour and surrounding rooftops - an ideal spot for a sundowner or some peace from the bustling town below! The room was well serviced with everything needed for a short stay, although it would lwork well for a longer period too, I'm sure. The staff were courtious and informative without being intrusive, which was great. I had breakfast out, and so didn't sample the cuisine, although their menu looked ideal for starting the day. All in all a great find and one that I'd recommend strongly.

The shower was a bit small - always tricky to keep the water in the shower tray with a curtain arrangement, rather than a glass screen.

The location of this delightful hotel is overlooking the harbour.A couple of rooms have a balcony overlooking the harbour. It was lovely to sit out and watch the world go by and the sea and lighthouse. The room was spacious with a large comfortable bed. The shower in our room was big enough with plenty of hot water. Shower gel and shampoo is complimentary.There is a small fridge and kettle with cups. No tea or coffee but we had our own tea bags. The breakfast was plentiful with fresh orange juice,tea or coffee, toast,eggs, cheese and ham, yogurt with honey,and jams.

Nothing. It may be noisy in the taverna's below in the summer.
