Breakfast was excellent. Room was clean.

Garage is quite tricky to park in, staff was there to help but its like parking in an abandoned basement. Only small cars can fit and Renault Modus (its a bit wider and higher then Renault Clio) that we drive is on the upper limit of what can be parked in the garage. Traffic and roads are also problematic, it's quite hard to go left since all streets are forward only with only a few right turns. Also people park like its a wild west in some streets so you can barely go through them.

We stayed at El Greco hotel at the beginning and the end of our trip. First we came with a rented car and at the end we used the bus from and to the airport where we returned the rental car. The hotel is very easy to reach both by car and buy airport bus (the bus stop is almost in front of the hotel), but note that there are many stops and the bus is very crowded. So you may prefer taxi. I found the breakfast absolutely great. A lot of choice, traditional soup, stuffed vine leaves, various local pies, beans, different kinds of eggs and bacon, almond milk and variety of fruit and cakes. Cereals, yogurth (full fat and reduced fat), butter and margarine, jam and honey. So even as a vegan I could enjoy a wonderful breakfast. The beds were fine, enough room for two big suitcases, very spacious shower cabin, soft towels. The hotel is on a busy street, so it gets noisy from traffic, ask for a room not facing the main street (Egnatia) if you have a light sleep.

We arrived by plane in Thessaloniki, so we took a direct bus in front of the airport that left us a few minutes walk to hotel. The hotel is located on a lively main boulevard in the city. Many shops, taverns and supermarkets can be reached within walking distance. 15 minutes walk away are the train station and the harbor, while another 20 minutes away are the white famous tower and the city's main sights. They accepted our check-in early, answered and helped us with all our questions and requests regarding the sights in the city and surroundings, public transport and local tips, the reception staff being absolutely wonderful. The room where we were accommodated was a standard matrimonial room, quite spacious, located on the upper floor, equipped with air conditioning, small refrigerator, lcd TV, with a generous balcony, where we could admire and take the pulse of the city from the top. The room was cleaned daily and towels were changed. The breakfast was a Swedish buffet, quite good containing, among other things, local Greek products, which was a plus. I didn't try wi-fi, having enough mobile data allocated while roaming.

Throughout our stay, the breakfast was identical, changing practically no products from those offered as standard & first day we arrived. The coffee was absolutely horrible, served in the filter like thermos - without other options such as a cappuccino, latte, espresso, etc. The isolation of the room is mediocre, easily hearing when someone comes and goes in the hallway and elevator or speaks louder in the adjoining rooms. Although the boulevard is very lively at night, it is quite dangerous to walk, a lot of homeless and drugged people circulating and sleeping on the streets near the hotel.

Front desk staff could be more friendly and helpful. Parking we had to pay for had gone up since we were given the price at booking time but they showed no interest when I questioned this. The parking was also difficult to get to, a map was given but with all one way streets and cars parked everywhere it was hard to find. Took us half an hour the first time. They should take your car and park it. Very little interest in customer service. Lifts were also playing up and were stressful to travel in.

We made a last minute booking after travel plans went awry and felt welcomed at this hotel. We arrived before check in and could store our bags easily. The kids' beds were in a slightly separate alcove, with a lovely bunk style they would enjoy having at home! The buffet breakfast was excellent and the breakfast room had a beautiful style. We caught a taxi in from the airport but walked the next day to the train station. There were plenty of good eating places nearby and we had excellent help from the chemist on the adjacent street for our son who was quite unwell.

The shower in our room had a leak, which I am sure could be easily fixed. Everything else was great. Even though it was small, we really appreciated having a lift for our big bags after the thousands of stairs we had climbed throught our six weeks in Europe.

Very kindly we were allocated a room on the rear side of the hotel, so it was really quiet for a city centre hotel. The fittings and bedding were all good quality, and the shower had instant hot water and good pressure. Daily room service for towels or other linen. The hotel is close to all the major tourist attractions, all easy to reach by foot in5/10 mins. Also many cafes bars and restaurants nearby. The reception staff are very helpful answering any queries .The breakfast buffet has an excellent choice; cereal, fruit, eggs,bacon, greek specialities, and more.

The room was clean and there is a TV, fridge, kettle, coffee, tea and a comfortable bed. Breakfast at the hotel was amazing, we found everything we could think of. There is also a small grocery store next to the hotel. The promenade with restaurants and cafes is located about 15 minutes from the hotel. The staff was always smiling and willing to help. We also communicated with them in simpler English.

The only thing we didn't like was that we booked a room with two single beds and got a room with a double bed.

After cancelling another place because it was disappeared me, here was excellent! Two ladies in the reception were very kind and friendly. I got the room in 9. floor with city view. It was very clean and cleaning ladies were tidied and cleaned every day! Location is perfect just close to Ladadika , easily go for breakfast, bars. I highly recommend it! I will go there again and refer to my friends and brother.

Everything was good. One small thing it is not rated with the hotel, there was a noise of next building, repairing.

The room was clean and comfortable. Super bathroom . Good choice of breakfast. Helpful reception staff when approached ie booking a taxi to the airport. Kettle in room. Air con on all the time so that room was always cool and welcoming when we returned from walks etc

Room was a little small and functional. There was a lot of unexpected noise during the morning from the rooms/roof above where it sounded like building work was going on - they probably expected us to have gone out?

Great location, very nice, polite and helpful staff, free luggage room, exceptional breakfast, cleaning and towels changed every day, kettle in the room, comfy bed, soft linens. Also, very good soundproof and blackout curtains 🔥🔥🔥. Everything for a very comfortable stay.

Unfortunately, the quality of cleaning wasn't always on the same level. Floor was a bit dirty on arrival. That's the only negative thing. Otherwise, this hotel is beyond expectations. Thanks.
