We picked the hotel because it looked nice on the pictures and a lot of others rated it well as well as it offers a hot pot too. The guys were nice, helpful and friendly, the room was spacious and the hotel itself looked as if the people being there really cared about it to stay like this. Probably you're not going to meet the icelandic guy I met in the hot pot who was absolute fun to chat with but this shouldn't keep you from picking it ;) The breakfast was another reason we booked and we weren't disappointed. Everything's there - some of the treats homemade and everything else delicious too. A perfect way to start another day on tour.

Calm and quiet place, surrounded by forest. There's a big parking in front of the hotel, with enough place for everyone. They have a bathtub in the garden.
Sadly the bathtub was half empty, and in my opinion water wasn't hot enough. It looked kinda messy, like they've just run it for the first time after winter. Breakfast is continental buffet like in any other places on Iceland. And like in any other places it's not very tasty. They have a good juice and a coffee maker tho, but the scrambled eggs made from bottle eggs instead of fresh ones are inedible.

The hotel was far away from the center of town and yet a close drive. It was quiet and the staff extremely courteous and helpful. My daughter hurt her knee on a hike. Teresa gave us a bag of ice. The next morning Hildar gave us pain ointment and more ice. We got to see the Northern lights. A very beautiful area with a quaint town and picturesque mountains. I would highly recommend. Be mindful~ the hotel was quiet because we were here the first of March. No snow, about 6-10 Celsius. Windy at times… bring a winter hat and mittens. Good hiking boots. Also this was quite unusual weather for this time of year.
Everything met our expectations.

We had agood view over towards the valley. Warm, comfy bed, decent shower, very good breakfast, plenty of parking, easy to find. Woodland walks. Location, need to drive into town, about 3kms to walk. Public areas a bit dated, looks like rooms have been upgraded. Nice bathroom. Would stay again. Tour group made early breakfast a challenge, but staff coped really well. Later was probably a nicer experience.
Personalview, Reception, cluttered and old fashioned. Comfort room small, if you are staying more than a couple of nights upgrade. Felt the room was a bit unfinished as no hooks in bathroom for towels, no hooks in room for even a coat. Very little space which is why I say hooks as no size cupboard would fit in the room. Suggest rail under sink to put small towels on, and my pet hates in any type of accommodation, please check light bulbs, TV remote batteries and lightshades (they had dead flies in them!).

Room was basic and comfortable. Loved the theme in the room and the owner's car collection on the property. The reception/bar area was ecclectic, comfortable and bright with lots of light. The dining room was spacious, bright with a nice wooded view. Very nice.
Would have liked a little more shelving in the bathroom; but that is really not an issue. The double bed was also a little tight against the walls; but also not a big issue for a short term stay.

The hotel is very nice with a welcoming lobby. The rooms were comfortable. The staff kept the hot tub on for me because it was already late. The location does require you to drive into Akureyri but it was 5 minutes up the road. The property was very nice and we took a hike behind the hotel that led to a small river and waterfall. The view was amazing. It was cloudy the night we arrived but by morning the sun was out and we had an amazing breakfast in their dining room overlooking the water. One of the best mornings we had during our week. Sitting in the dining room with the sun, good food, and the views were so peaceful after many long days traveling. The staff gave us a nice recommendation for dinner in town. Great value, nice staff, good location, and yummy breakfast included.

The view was amazing, the room was clean and tidy, breakfast had good variety of food and the receptionist with a brown hair was very warm and welcoming. The place is very affordable and for any future travellers staying in Akureryi, I would definitely recommend this hotel :)
The only downside would be internet speed, it was really bad, like 0.5 mbps. I used my own mobile data, so it didnt really bother me

Great location, comfy and clean rooms. As breakfast in Icelands hotels isn't a thing and most of them are poor, this hotel serves quite good breakfast and you have more options to choose than usual.
During our stay hotel was quite crowded. And where are many people, naturally there are some children. Kids are kids and you have to understand that you will have a noisy time.

Breakfast was offered but got a late start. The room was clean and had the best room darkening curtains for sleeping during their extended hours of daylight in the spring/summer season. Loved the welcoming lobby with games available and the hot tub open until 11 pm. Easy check-in and check-out. Loved the local art work throughout the property.
