The apartment was clean, tidy and well furnished. The bed was a great size (as I am quite tall) and very comfortable. The space was great too as there is a decent size entrance where would could leave jackets, shoes and luggage so we were not tripping over them in the room. Parking was very easy and the location was close enough to walk to the town centre but still secluded enough that it was peaceful.

Main point is that it says on the booking.com site there is a washing machine but there is not. We had planned to do washing at that point half way through our trip and there was not one in the apartment or in adjoining building.

The apartment was in a pleasantly quiet spot - with easy parking - but still in quick walking distance of the centre of town. It was smart, clean, comfortable, and felt newly-redecorated, too. And when I initially got confused about accessing the property, I phoned the host who immediately answered and was friendly and helpful.

The only negative we had was that soon after we arrived, a second set of guests opened tye door to our apartment with the same code we'd been given. They were booked into a different apartment - and nothing bad did happen - but it left us a little unsettled security-wise. Plus, it would have been handy to be able to use a washing machine.

We loved the location. It is just a short walk from downtown. There is a WiFi in the room we were in. It was really clean. We stayed for 5 days in business trip and it was really quiet. I could study without using my noise cancelling headphones and I loved it. There are plenty of parking spots around the house so it’s easy to find a parking spot. Bonus there was a oil and salt and pepper to cook. Also there was a tee and coffee but we just used our coffee that we had but it’s nice if you forgot yours at home or are a traveler. We will definitely come back for next business trip.

Nothing we absolutely loved everything about it

Good location near downtown. Clean and well maintained apartment, ample space for two people, good heating, fluffy large towels, and extra pillows.

The listing stated there would be a washing machine available, but there wasn't. However, the manager helped us by washing our clothes in the building washer. Lighting in the kitchen area could be better; there is no under-counter lighting. As with all accommodations in Iceland, the shower stall is very small - only suited for small/slender people.

The beds are very good, everything sparkling clean, the kitchenette seemed to have everything you might need including microwave oven, toaster, kettle, Senseo coffee maker etc. Located in a very quiet street, yet only an easy 5-10 minute walk from the main street, great restaurants and main attractions. Heavy curtains block out the sun - very important in the midnight sun during summer months! The bathroom, although tiny, does not feel tiny.

The soundproofing is very lacking - I woke up to the alarm clock from another room thinking it was my own, and heard clearly when someone flushed their toilet on the floor above. I would have appreciated hangers - although there are many hooks and big drawers for your clothes.

Place was very convenient with super easy parking on property, literally open your car door and it’s your room door. Although this seems like a shared apartment with other guests, it is very very private. There is a kitchen in the room with everything provided (pots pan utensils salt sugar oil etc) and it’s a 5 mins drive away from a huge bonus! The place has a small dressing area to hang your coat and shoes which is handy especially wet shoes in winter.

As kitchen is in the same room as the bed, clothes will smell after cooking.

Very quick check-in (they send you code to your door). Building is in a calm neighborhood. Spacious comfortable apartment, all necessary kitchenware and amenities. Not far from town center. Harbor is nearby as well (we went to look at cruise ships there). No problem with parking.

It has no elevator for second floor. Just a warning for whom it matters, not a problem for us.

It was really cold inside when we came to the apartment because all the radiators were turned off and it took a while to heat the space up. Would have been nice if heating was turned on before our stay. Secondly, the demand to leave the kitchen exactly the same as we found otherwise we might be charged for cleaning sounded almost like threat. We always clean up, but this time we started questioning whether such strict demand was appropriate. Lastly, the kettle didn't work.

The apartment was incredible! The ideal location for me, Akureyri can be be a little loud in the centre at weekends, so being a 10 minute walk away makes for a perfect nights sleep. The apartment itself was above and beyond expectations, so much so that I wanted to stay longer but couldn't. This will be my number one choice for accommodation in Akureyri, I can not recommend it enough.

The check-in is very convenient, the location is very good, it is very close to the whale watching meeting point, only need to walk for 5 minutes. The room is located on the 0th floor, close to the side of the street. If you need to open the window for ventilation, the traffic will be very noisy. The facilities are complete, the facilities in the toilet are a bit old and a bit crowded. Overall, the price is high, it is worth recommending!
