Very centrally located, this made a great base during our stay in Akureyri. It was also very well priced compared to other places of a similar level troughout Iceland. Breakfast was good and the room was very clean. While the hotel has it's own restaurant, we decided to eat out on that day and were pleased with the number of restaurants close to the hotel.

It wasn't easy to find parking very close to the hotel which might be a nuisance if you are travelling with heavy luggages. However when not carrying luggages the short walk wasn't an issue at all.

expensive compared to other places and i have extensively travelled Iceland. Food in restaurant was nice but over priced. I had originally booked for 2 nights but due to family issues and then the weather only wanted 1 night. They refused to refund the second night and other email’s after that they ignored. All other hotels had been really helpful and these were not. I would not stay again.

Great size room. Across the road from Supermarket and small group of shops. The Pizza place was great.

The location is excellent and the staff is very nice. The breakfast was decent. Everything was clean and I loved the duvet.

A bit far and complicated to get between the lobby and the room, the size of the room was alright but nothing more than that. Very dark interiors although the large windows in the room made up for it.

The location was perfect. Right on the walking areas for shops and restaurants. Clean and quiet area. Our room was very comfortable and the room darkening shades worked really well. Front desk staff were friendly and very helpful, lobby bar staff were also great.

Wished I would have had a few more days to stay!

We loved this hotel. Every staff member, front desk, the restaurant, the bar, house keeping were just incredibly accommodating and helpful. Breakfast, lunch, dinner, happy hour were just beautiful served and incredibly delicious. Our room was lovely, clean and quiet.

No swimming pool or spa services on site.

I had only one overnight in Hotel Kea, and I really liked it: large comfortable room, substantial breakfast, very friendly and helpful staff. The hotel is centrally located beside the lovely cathedral, and just a very short walk to the picturesque seafront area. I loved my short stay.

My room was very nice and comfortable. Hotel was clean and within walking distance of shops, restaurants, and the botanical gardens. The food at the restaurant was very good. I would like to mention that the staff were very helpful. Akureyri is a nice place to visit and you can take a day trip to Grimsey Island.

The hotel is in a very central location which makes it ideal for exploring Akureyri and surrounds... while the room we were given on checkin had a great view of the Fjord, it would have been a little cramped for three nights... we checked with reception and they gave us a great option for a larger room without the view... front desk staff were very helpful with all questions during our stay and restaurant was also good for dinner (though their are many options in the surrounding streets)
