Such a convenient location with bus stop right outside, lovely staff and room was overall quite nice!
Would’ve been nice to have our sheets changed at some point on our stay and our rubbish to be removed from the room (had a bag of rubbish too big for the bin so put next to it which was not taken for the whole trip). These things did not ruin our trip but would’ve been nice to haves!

Good location by the bus stop 9 and 10 for excursions and transfer, and by the pedestrian walking street. Room is comfortable and warm, has all you need, even tea maker. Nice and attentive personal at reception.
Probably the breakfast, it's to little space for buffet, so when it was a big group it was not enough food, no clean plates, no cups, not even a smile from personal, it felt like they were feeding animals, not humans, sorry to say that, but attitude is important when you are under stress doing your job.

The main draw here is the location - set at the end of Reykjavik's main shopping street, Laugavegur, this is an ideal location for exploring the city. One of the main bus stops is also right out of the front door, making it convenient to be picked up for tours. We stayed on the top (4th) floor and had amazing views of the water and mountains across the bay from our balcony, though you wouldn't have these on lower floors. Value for money was good for Iceland. There is a reasonably priced restaurant connected next door, and even though the main restaurant (Loa) was pretty expensive it looked great. Overall a fantastic place to stay.
Breakfast was a bit plain - eggs, beans, and toast with a selection of yogurts and some vegetables. A little more variety would be appreciated, but still OK. The bathroom door didn't slide all the way closed, making a small gap. A bit nitpicky here.

The hotel is right on main shopping/entertainment street - Laugavegur, at the north end. The room/beds were very clean and comfortable. Bathroom perfect. Staff were super helpful and friendly. Two restaurants connect to hotel lobby. There are unlimited choices for eating, drinking or shopping nearby. The breakfast was good.
Parking is a bit tricky. The hotel has around 8 spots for free, on a first come first serve basis. After that you are on your own to find street parking. We did find street parking each night and it is free from 6PM to 9AM, so it all worked out fine. The price was very high, the most we have ever paid for a hotel actually. But that is Reykjavik.

The hotel was immaculately clean and they had thought of everything. Shower caps, vanity kits, sewing kits all supplied. The room was cleaned every day and bedding refreshed every 3 (or sooner by request). All the staff were friendly and helpful. The location was ideal for trips (huge bus stop outside) and also an easy walk into the centre and to the port. The hotel was modern and had plenty of food options. The lockable luggage storage was especially useful for a later flight home. WiFi was strong in the room and the TV had all the normal channels. Overall can't really fault. The only thing I'd have liked is for bacon and sausage at breakfast each day as opposed to alternate days but that really is being picky!
Breakfast could have had a bit more selection but I really am scraping the barrel for a dislike.

Rooms were super clean, had all the supplies you needed. location was awesome, bus stop is right on the front door so airport and city transfers are super easy, tons of great restaurants and city hallmarks walking distance. Staff was AWESOME will definitely stay here again.
Nothing really, place was awesome. Maybe, room could use longer curtains to cover sunlight completely (especially in the summer since there’s sun light 24/7) but nothing major

We liked the decor and comfort. It was great that we were able to do an early check-in. The location is excellent, on the main street with lots of shops and restaurants. Breakfast is very good, with a wide variety of options.
The service could be improved, during breakfast, even during the breakfast time, the staff started their own meal, stopped serving at the bar and did not serve us an extra espresso, as they were busy eating. When we left the room, we made a final inspection under the tables and bed... and discovered a lost bag that didn't belong to us and must have been left behind by the previous guests. Therefore, cleaning and checking must be improved.

I and 3 others stayed in Reykjavik for one night, and this place fit the bill both literally and figuratively. Considering its position (just a 10 minute's walk to Hallgrímskirkja and 15 minute's walk to the Harpa Concert Hall and thus the main downtown area) and the price compared to other 4-star hotels in the area, the Center Hotels Laugavegur was just right. The room (a standard double room) was spacious and the beds were comfortable. The only small complaint would be for the bathroom (see below). The breakfast was plentiful with lots of variety - I did miss the bacon though! I think one of the best things here was the staff. They were super helpful in more than one occasion. I was able to book a taxi in advance through them to get from RKV airport to the hotel, and then a taxi on very short notice from the hotel to the BSI bus terminal after missing our shuttle connection. Speaking of which, one tip for travellers: if you book the hotel pick up shuttle service in addition to the Bus transfer from BSI to KEF airport, be on the look out for a REYKJAVIK EXCURSIONS minibus! FLYBUS is the name of the airport transfer from BSI, but the shuttle bus that takes you to BSI will have a REYKJAVIK EXCURSIONS logo on it. We didn't know this, so when we saw the shuttle bus outside the hotel, we ignored it thinking it was a tour bus. Just something to keep in mind.
The only real downside to this hotel was bathroom. There is no door at the bathroom entrance, and there is only a sliding frosted glass door (which doesn't close all the way) that separates the sink area from the toilet and shower. If you value privacy for your bathroom escapades, then you may feel a bit uncomfortable with this arrangement.

The breakfast was good, and it provided a lot of options. The location was within walking distance of a lot of places, so that was good. The room was good, but very tight for three beds.
The parking situation could have been better. The lot was very small and spaces were tight. We were able to take advantage of parking in the lot for one of our first nights, and when we returned to the hotel at the end of our vacation for one more night, we had to park in the street again. It was nice that street parking was free from 4 pm to 9 am. We had to pay for parking two separate times during the day.

The location on the main shopping/dining street was perfect for our first stay in Reykjavik. Convenient to walk to all of the main sites we wanted to visit. Right next to a main bus stop. And easy for tour buses to find for picking us up on our day trips. The staff was friendly. The room was a bit on the smallish size but standard for Europe. It was nice to have the sink separate from the toilet/shower area. Blackout curtains were great! The breakfast options were ample with both hot and cold items available and everything was yummy.
This is minor: but would have been nice to have additional trash bin in the room itself. Not just in the bathroom area.
