the room is very comfortable with a simple kitchen. smart tv for watching Netflix, etc.
the room was SO hot and no possibility to control the temperature. The floor in the bathroom was difficult to stand on as it was so warm. directions to the room involved walking through a restaurant which wasn’t a problem but was not clear in the directions.

This hotel exceeded my expectations in every way, and I wholeheartedly recommend it to fellow travelers. Here are some of the highlights of my stay: Prime Location: Hotel Vera is ideally situated in the heart of Reykjavik, making it the perfect base for exploring the city. Many of the city's top attractions, restaurants, and shops are within easy walking distance, making it incredibly convenient for visitors Stylish Design: The hotel's interior is stylishly designed, with modern and tasteful decor that creates a welcoming and comfortable atmosphere. The attention to detail in the design is evident and adds to the overall ambiance Comfortable Rooms: My room at Hotel Vera was exceptionally comfortable. The bed was cozy, and the room was well-appointed with all the amenities I needed for a pleasant stay. It provided a peaceful retreat after a day of exploration. Cleanliness and Maintenance: The hotel's cleanliness and maintenance were impeccable. It was clear that the staff took great care to ensure a clean and hygienic environment, which is especially important during these times. Affordable Luxury: Hotel Vera offers a level of comfort and quality that is exceptional for its price point. It's a great value for the quality of accommodations and services provided. In summary, Hotel Vera in Reykjavik offers a fantastic blend of style, comfort, and convenience. Bed was comfy. Great location near the town center. Clean. Modern. Although next to the main street, the room was very quiet. Our room had a balcony which was nice. Shower had excellent water pressure and shower controls were superior. Wifi worked fine.
We only had light luggage so it didn't matter, but to use the elevator you had to go through the first floor restaurant. The water and the hand soap had a strong unpleasant smell (not sure if the water throughout the city is like that or if it was just here). The TV turned on, but there was no cable programming available on it. It may have been possible to stream TV through it, but we did not want to input our password through the hotel network. The nespesso caffee maker came with pods, but it seemed like the pods were not compatible so we never used it.

The place was great and the location amazing. The kitchen was perfectly equipped so we saved lots of money by cooking for ourselves rather than eating out. The mattress was super comfy. Overall, I'd definitely stay there again.
The access code on the apartment door kept glitching. I had to call the customer service twice after locking ourselves out. I was just sent to watch the video on how to press the code (pretty straight forward, really), and the receptionist kept telling me how to operate some of the newer code systems rather than our old one, disregarding my comments that our key differed from the one he was describing. One of the numbers on the keypad didn't always register. Luckily, it resets automatically when given a little time.

The hotel is located on the lively street of Laugavegur, in the very center of Reykjavik. The check-in and check-out are automated: you get a code to the entrance door (which also serves as a door to the downstairs restaurant) and a code to your room door via e-mail, and you pay in advance, so no need to check out. The room is large and comfortable, there is a well equiped kitchinette, a comfy sofa bed and other various pieces of furniture. The bathroom is fine, with great quality shower. Everything is clean and well maintained.
The location is noisy, with people partying hard, till late, but that's what you get for a central location. The price is steep, but that's, again, due to location - Iceland is expensive.

The room was spacious and nicely decorated. The kitchen fully equipped with coffee machine and complimentary capsules, which was a very pleasant surprise. The bed was huge and very comfortable. Excellent location really, all around coffee shops, restaurants, supermarket, and also close to the sea. The cleaning staff was very helpful.
The bathroom was small for a room that can allegedly fit four people. The room was only cleaned upon request, but even then cleaning was less than basic. The bathroom was not sweeped and the rubbish bin not emptied. There is no reception at the hotel. The management team replies messages very promptly, but still a reception is always helpful for basic services such as calling a taxi for you or explaining how to get the bus.

Great place to stay in a heart of Reykjavik, every point you can reach via foot. Local busses on few minutes walk, as well as pick up points for excursions within 5 min walk from flat. Room was quiet even windows were to main street. Spacious room with very comfy bed, seating/eating area and TV. Kitchenette area fully equipped - stove, microwave, toaster, kettle, coffee maker, dishwasher, range of cuttery, and various pans. Bathroom with shower and great quality toiletries. Daily cleaning can be requested. In addition there is great restaurant downstairs with Icelandic food. Easy check in and out, access code provided to your email. Please be aware that this is apart hotel, no reception, no Staff on Site, however easy communication via emails. Recommended!

The location was excellent- right in the main part of Reykjavik. The rate for the place was also very reasonable, especially compared to others in the area. It was one of the only places that let us have both of the children in the room with us, as others only allowed up to 3 people per room.
There weren't a lot of pictures on the website, so we didn't have a great sense of the room we were getting. We ended up in a room on the first floor with only a skylight; unlike the pictures on the website that had a big balcony and windows/doors, so it was a lot darker than we expected. We didn't end up spending much time in the room, because we wanted to explore, but I also don't think we would have wanted to spend more time in it either.

The room was immaculate and SO quiet. There was a skylight that made the room bright and the retractable shade kept it dark even with the long hours of sunlight. The mini kitchen facilities were great and we appreciated having an espresso maker in the room with two coffee pods. It was a great amount of room for a family of three that was jet lagged and needed a really good night's sleep.
I think it should be noted that in order to get to the hotel rooms you have to go through an active restaurant. It was a little awkward to drag bags through when the restaurant was open.

The apartment was really modern, clean and spacious, with high ceilings and comfortable beds. The location is perfect, because you are walking distance from everything in central Reykjavik and very close to bus stop 9 for drop offs and pick ups. Laugarvegur is a beautiful street, with lots of shops and restaurants, so you’ll never get bored. There’s also a convenient store just 5 minutes away.
The window/glass door by the balcony, facing the street, really isn’t sound proof at all, which is problematic if you’re a light sleeper. There was no kettle in the kitchen.
