We stayed in the hotel for our first night on Iceland, and it was a good location to start our exploration of Reykjavik. Super central, very kind staff, decent breakfast.

As it is located directly opposite of an event location, during the evening/early night it was relatively loud due to a concert taking place. Mostly 80s classics, so it was not too bad, but the walls and windows don't really keep out all the noise, so you should bring your oropax just in case. Room was kinda small if you have large luggage with you. Nothing you couldn't handle, but more suited to stay one night than a longer period of time.

Wonderful location in the main street of Reykjavik, in a section that is closed to cars for most of the day, with lots of touristy shops. It is just a short walk from almost everything one might want to visit. Harpa Hall is under 10 minutes walk away, as is the beautiful Hallgrímskirkja church. Breakfast is excellent, with a good choice of cereals, fruit and pickles. And the staff are always very friendly and helpful.

Clearly beyond control of the hotel, it was extremely noisy in the evenings, as the nearby bars and restaurants had raucous guests - on the Saturday night, they did not stop until 04:30 AM, and on Sunday, also after midnight. Closing the windows helped dampen the noise, but reduced the fresh air to the room.

Harpa Hall is under 10 minutes walk away, as is the beautiful Hallgrímskirkja church. Breakfast is excellent, with a good choice of cereals, fruit and pickles. And the staff are always very friendly and helpful. We had to leave really early in the morning and would miss breakfast, so they provided us with hot water for tea and coffee, plus some fresh croissants.

It was extremely noisy in the evenings, as the nearby bars and restaurants had raucous guests - on the Saturday night, they did not stop until 04:30 AM, and on Sunday, also after midnight. I probably should have asked to have a room at the back. Note, also, about 8 stairs, 3 outside and 5 inside, to climb before accessing the lift, so a bit tricky with a large suitcase.

The staff were great, very friendly and had good suggestions for places to eat and things to do. I liked that mid-visit we got an email from the hotel with information about events happening in the city. We were able to get tickets to a show that we would never have known about otherwise. The breakfast spread was good, and the room had everything we needed.

The room was no-frills, and the shower stall was absolutely tiny--someone with a larger body size would be pretty uncomfortable. But it had everything we needed and was right in the center of town.

Location was excellent. I originally had a room facing the street and was kept awake most of the night by loud music and people yelling. In the morning, I requested a different room and was moved to an inner courtyard room without issue, from which I heard no noise.

I was travelling with my mum who is 'mobile challenged.' Although the hotel advised me there were steps to enter the hotel, they were much higher than expected. The shower was very difficult for her to get into as the lip was high. Other than these two issues, we were pleased with our stay.

Fantastic location on a pedestrian street in Reykjavik. A lot going on with lots of shops and a variety of restaurants within several blocks. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The staff was very friendly and helpful, especially Pablo at the front desk. He answered many of our questions and helped us with transportation. A nice breakfast buffet was included.

Because the pedestrian street is so popular, there was a lot of nightlife and music in the evening. I thought this might impact our sleep but it didn’t at all.

This hotel is in good location in Old Reykjavik. The building is very nice. I travel alone and was very comfortable. The breakfast was really pleasant. The breakfast room has a nice view. The room was clean and there was a nice closet, fridge, and TV. The en suite was very nice. Staff were absolutely lovely. It was great they have staff at the reception desk 24/7.

The Blue Lagoon store front across the street has a horribly bright lighted window ad that still is bothersome with blackout curtains drawn. There were only 2 electrical outlets, 1 by the door, 1 in the bathroom with the bed and chair across the room from them. The wall light fixture above the bed was broken and partly hanging out of the wall. I noticed the hotel seems to filter the trademark Sulphur scent Iceland is known for..I prefer they did not do that. The Sulphur in the water has benefit and if you don't want your shower Sulphur scented, you shouldn't go to Iceland.

Very good location right in the city center. The staff was friendly and helpful. I asked for a quiet room and they gave me one, it also had a nice view and we got to see the northern lights twice from our window 🙂 The room had very good heating also. The breakfast was good with some variety, I would prefer more choices and perhaps some changes from day to day but other than that it was fine. Overall, very happy with our stay.

The room was a bit on the small side, there was no seating area.

The accommodation is located in an absolutely ideal position in the city centre. The room was quite small but satisfactory. I didn't come to Iceland to stay in my room, right? The peronal was fantastic and very helpful all the time. As an added bonus there was a receptionist who was also from the Czech Republic so I was able to talk in my language. Breakfast was satisfactory, although there could have been extra for example scrambled eggs, fried bacon and sausages :). Nevertheless, I did not suffer from hunger. Overall I was satisfied with the accommodation and can recommend it.

Overall, I have no negative comments.

Great location! Close to many pick up bus stops, cafes and gift stores. Rooms were clean. Staff is friendly, we asked for early breakfast arrangements on a couple of days when we had tours scheduled to start at 7 a.m. Breakfast was always ready by 6.30 on those days. Really appreciate it!

Bathroom was a little smaller than we would have liked. Only a shower cabin and a very tiny one.
