Location, location, location. Two block walk to excursion & airport shuttle pickup point. Staff very friendly and helpful. Efficient elevator, but walking up two flights was easy enough to bypass it most times. Bed was very comfortable.

While the breakfast was quite good with a nice selection, it was exactly the same every day. A bit of variety would have been welcome. Room door was very hard to open and close. Frame or door itself seem to have been warped. Missed not having a microwave. Drawer/shelf space skimpy. All of these minor issues. The Irish pub across the street got quite noisy late evening into the night. Had to close the window to bring it down to a decent level which cut off fresh (and cooling) air.

Very nice hotel in the center of Reykjavik! We were walking distance to the church, great bars and restaurants, the beautiful conference center and the coast. Also very close to bus stop 14, where we went for pick up for various day tours in Iceland. Morning breakfast was good and appreciated. The staff were very friendly and helpful with questions. We also received a free dinner at a local restaurant, which was a really nice surprise! The room was small but very comfortable. We asked for twin beds and got a twin bed room.

Ask for a room that doesn't face the street with the Irish bar. They got pretty noisy at night with live music till 12 am or so. But that can't be helped and it was not a problem.

Farooq at reception does an outstanding job arranging transportation to the airport and tours around Iceland in addition to great suggestions for places to go to for dinner and showing you downtown destinations on a map he provides. The room was comfortable and quiet - definitely ask for a room that is not facing the street as the Irish Pub is very loud and can be noisy until 3:00 to 4:00 am in the morning.

The breakfast was very mediocre and I would recommend that you try a local coffee shop for espresso, pastry, etc. The facilities are a bit dated and they have recently opened a more modern facility closer to the sea although it is more money to book.

The staff was extremely helpful, we asked them questions all the time and they always were happy to help and even make calls for us to find out information if necessary. The location was also amazing, right in the heart of where all the fun restaurants and bars are so everything was easily walkable.

Really the only things I can think of were the TV in the room was pretty small and would freeze up from time to time and you could hear the Irish pub across the street very clearly (not that it really bothered us, but if you're looking for silence...then I'm not sure it'd be great for you).

Very impressed with continental breakfast buffet. Loved the location other than having to trek up the hill from bus stop 14 with our luggage. Sure would be nice if you had a little shuttle service. I do think it’s important for elderly people to know that this is a big a hill so they can accommodate with taxi from BSÍ terminal. The rooms could be a little larger but appreciated the cleanliness and beds were comfortable. We really appreciated the friendly service from everyone at the front desk. They were kind and helpful! It was wonderful to walk out the door and be one block from the Main Street full of wonderful shops and lively bars and music. Also easy to walk to see many highlights around the city. Overall highly recommend.

A little crowded in the room and the trek up the hill with 4 pieces of luggage.

Faruk and the front desk staff were all super friendly and helpful with suggestions--We visited during Christmas so many of our tours were cancelled at last minute due to inclement weather and the staff were helpful in suggesting alternative ways to spend the day. The breakfast spread was excellent every day and set us off into the snow fully prepared. Generally everything was reliable, clean, and super central as downtown Reykjavik is right on the doorstep. We would like to return in the summer months as the city would be an entirely different experience and I would stay at CenterHotel Klopp again in a heartbeat. 100% recommend.

The hotel is super central and a slight downside for some light sleepers might be that there are one or two bars located nearby and they keep late hours. You can hear music and revelry in the night but I must stress that this didn't waken my husband nor myself, we just heard the sound if we woke up to use the bathroom. If you're reading this imagining pounding dance music then I can assure you that wasn't the case. The noise was muted and gave us no problems.

I stayed 5 nights and loved everything. Got beautiful corner room with a sea view! The room itself was super comfortable, superbly clean and foremost very warm (it was 5 degrees outside). Breakfasts was humble, sadly nothing warm is served, at least scrummble eggs should be offered, not everyone eats cereal or toast with jam. Hotel crew was super nice, welcoming and helpful. The hotel is right next to a very noisy Irish pub, every day until 3 in the morning you can hear loud music and drunken shouts. If one needs silence to sleep it is worth having a room on the other side.

Excellent location, a short walk from central Reykjavik. Warm room and comfortable bed and great to have kettle and small fridge in the room. The view out towards the sea was lovely. The breakfast was excellent. Hot porridge every day and good selection of pastries and the best chocolate flapjacks! Also fruit and breads, cheese, meats, salad bits, boiled eggs, skyr, juice and plenty of tea and coffee. A really nice start to the day. Reception staff were helpful and friendly. Would absolutely return.

The bathroom was a bit 'tired' and the tap dripped a bit, but easy to solve and perfectly adequate with a good hot shower. Nothing else to mention. It was all great.

The location was great. Easy to get to pubs and restaurants. The room was a decent size and clean. Bed was comfy and excellent water pressure in the shower. Staff was friendly and always ready to help and answer questions. Breakfast was basic (breads, meats, cheeses, yogurt, juice, etc) but it was enough for us. Close to both bus stops 6 and 14 so easy to catch tour and airport bus. Note: use the 14 to catch the bus going on a tour but ask to be dropped off at 6 when returning as there isn't as big of a hill.

The location was perfect, not just for walking around the city, but also for ease of getting in and out for day trips via rental car. There was parking along the street or at a near by parking garage. Close to shopping and restaurants. The room was fairly basic, but comfortable; the shower was a little small.

We stayed for 7 nights so it would have been nice to be able to unpack our suitcases, but the room had little storage for clothing. There was a closet to hang clothes and coats but no dresser or shelves.
