Location was fantastic close to bus stop 6 where you can get picked up for any organised tours that you have booked. Walking distance to the main bus terminal BSI. Great outdoor hot tub and a large steam room. The reception staff were exceptional they went beyond what they needed to, to help you. A big thank you to Marigona who worked on the front reception, she constantly helped with any question or direction. I would recommend this Hotel to anyone. Thank you for making my stay in your amazing country enjoyable.

A little more detail to cleaning the room. I stayed 2 weeks in the same Apartment. It was very dusty when I arrived, the toilet was not cleaned once since I arrived, it developed stains around the toilet bowl from not being cleaned. Sometimes they forgot to leave tea towels and I had to ask reception for them. Overall this is a small detail to my stay in the hotel.

Great room and bathroom. Well cleaned. Good space. It’s in the city centre and many shops, restaurants and cafés around. Great to have a fridge in the room.

On arrival there were no towels and no bed linen in our room, which is not acceptable as we pay a lot for the room. The first receptionist couldn’t do anything she said. The second one managed to find towels and bed linen - but one had a huge hole in it. We were compensated with free breakfast so, it was ok. But not a very nice welcoming. What the room also needed: - Somwhere to hang clothes and towels in the bathroom. - A kettle for making tea/coffee in the room. - A shoehorn

This place was beautiful! We got upgraded unexpectedly because the hotel was overbooked, which is never a bad thing! The room was bright and overlooks the city. The view was incredible. The bed was super comfortable, and everything was really clean. There was a balcony, though it was shared with the two other units to our right and left. This hotel was located in the heart of downtown, making it really easy to get to dinner, drinks, and other fun! 

They don’t tell you from the start, but there is free parking up by the church. Otherwise, you need to pay attention to the parking signs! There was a slight issue with our balcony door locking, but other than that our room and the hotel felt pretty secure! it was also a bit of a labyrinth to try to get into our room, and it would have been better if the entrance on the backside had been made available for entry for guests with a key card or some thing. The only other small complaint that we had is that there was no one to help us check in, and we had to ring a bell. There was hardly ever anyone at the hostess stand during our trip.

- The excellent location and being at the heart of the city comes with extra noise. The live band next door plays every night from around 8-11. My wife complained about the noise but I went down and enjoyed the nice music 😁. - There are no ACs in most hotels in Iceland because usually they are not needed. However last week was exceptionally warm and some people might prefer an AC or a fan. My teenage kids asked for a fan and they were provided with one.

The location of the hotel was perfect, conveniently close to the center, on a beautiful street with many nice shops and restaurants. The view was also very nice, we had an access to a huge terrace. The room was clean and comfortable, with the staff taking care of it every day.

We had a late check-in (around 2am), and unfortunately nobody was at the reception, plus it took around 15 minutes for them to get there (fortunately the access code for the doors was sent to us in advance, so we didn't have to wait outside). To get in/out of our room was a bit tricky, as we were on the 5th floor, but the elevator didn't go to that section directly, so we had to go to 4th, then walk, then take stairs and walk some more. The breakfast options were rather limited compared to what you could have for the same price in the bistros and cafes nearby.

We booked this hotel somewhat last minute, we were looking for a centrally located lower cost option (everything in Iceland is so expensive!), so we weren't sure what to expect. We were pleasantly surprised - the location was INCREDIBLE, the space was spotless and recently renovated with very modern finishings, with a nice bright window, they had a rooftop jacuzzi and a steam room (both of which we made use of and were a nice treat before our plane ride home!), and a nice selection of free coffees/teas. Overall, we thought the value for this place was excellent and would totally stay here again. Highly recommend!

Beds were not super comfy but not bad either - didn't bother us, but might bother some people who are more particularly about mattress quality.

Free tea, coffee, hot chocolate 24 hrs in reception was lovely, very comfortable bedding and bed, fantastic central location, room cleaned every day and cleaning staff very friendly.

Very dissapointed no roof top hot tub upon arrival, reason i booked this hotel, misleading information on hotel website. Was told on check in new owner who didn't want hot tub anymore but website not updated. I had friends staying on top floor who told me hot tub was still there but covered over so it could still have been used by guests.

The hotel is in a great central location, about 10/15 min walk from the bus station. The room was clean, cosy, spacious, and warm. There were some reviews about not being able to open windows but we could open ours just fine to let some fresh air in. Check-in was easy, and the hotel staff were very friendly and helpful with booking taxis to get around the city. There's also a free hot drinks machine in the lobby which is nice to take a coffee with you when you head out or come back in from the cold.

We read the reviews about the noise from the music venue below, so we came well prepared with ear plugs and managed to sleep OK. It's to be expected really with being so central that you'll get some noise from the bars and venues below, but we were still surprised at how loud it was even on the top floor, so it must be very loud on the lower floors. Not a deal breaker for us but if you don't have ear plugs you will struggle to sleep earlier than midnight!

Location was great. It is right in the center of town. There was a band that played at the pub downstairs every night we were there. The plus was that they were really good. The minus was that they were loud. So if you like live music and street sounds...this place is perfect. We actually really liked it. Also, we got some amazing sunset city-scape views from our room on the 4th floor.

You can hear the partying tourists into the wee hours of the morning. This is not the hotel's fault...it's the downside of an amazing location....but factors in on the overall satisfaction with the stay.

Location was everything - this was fantastic (modest entryway) but great hotel to access main parts of the city given it is located on one of the two main streets and is also close to a convenience store that is open very late and a grocery store not too far away. Closest bus stop is bus stop 6 which is where tour companies pick you up from for the most part as it is a popular stop. (this is a 2 min walk from Room with a View hotel, making waking and waiting out in the cold way more comfortable). Staff were easy to deal with and rooms were cosier and lovelier than expected. I would stay here again easily next time I visit.
