Rooms are spacious for Iceland however there are no bath tubs only showers. The hotel is almost a mile from the main downtown are so you’ll do a lot of walking. The hotel is not near anything nor is it close to public transport. The lobby is gorgeous and the amenities are first class. The shampoo, other items in the bathroom are superb. On the plus side: Because the location is far from downtown it’s quiet at night. I saw some of the other hotels downtown and they were tiny and spartan.

Location is not great. The bus service involves a long bus ride to the station then a shuttle service with my,tiller stops. It will take you easily 90 minutes to get in from the airport. Getting to the airport requires even more time. The hotel should run some sort of service, maybe a shared van for guests given its location and the exorbitant cost of taxis ($145 to or from the airport). While arriving to the hotel is fine (time consuming) the stress of making a flight should not require over two hours to reach the airport. If the hotel had transportation that would help enormously.

Booking suggested this hotel as the one we had booked cancelled our reservation just one hour before check-in! We really appreciated booking's suggestion as they offered us the chance to stay in a great hotel the last day of our trip. The mattress and pillows were perfect. Amenities in the bathroom were top notch (they are available for purchase in the lobby). The decoration was in balinese style. We really liked it although it was a little out of place. There is a gym we didn't use. There is complimentary coffee and tea available in the lobby all day with various plant-based milks. Breakfast was very good. The staff were friendly. I'd like to specially mention the guy in the kitchen (from Moldova) who went above and beyond to serve us.

I can't think of anything.

nice bed, spacious bathroom. Good black-out curtains. The room is small, but for a single traveler who was pretty much just staying there to sleep at the end of a day of exploring, it was just fine. Staff were incredibly friendly and I did not need anything overnight, but I felt better knowing that there was someone available 24 hours a day in case I did need something. I liked the electric kettle. I did not stay for breakfast or dinner but it looked great! I'd stay here again :)

For the price I would have thought that the TV would have some streaming services like Netflix--all of the other (and cheaper) hotels I stayed at in Iceland had Netflix. Not an essential, but would have been nice. Also would have loved a mini fridge!

Staff was excellent. We stayed in a Superior room which was a good size and comfortable. It would be nice though to offer a double duvet instead of two single duvets. Other than that we enjoyed the room and property. The public rooms on the main floor were very Cosy on a cold night!

Breakfast. I realize everything in Iceland is expensive but $50 for two wpeople wthout even custom egg options is way too much. We got stuck eating there for 2 mornings as we had early tour pickups and the only other option didn't open until 8am.

Lovely room, toiletries included and clean and tidy. Staff super friendly and helpful, spoke good English and answered all questions we had about where different stores where, transportation and airport transfers. Optional breakfast and meals that we didn’t need to pay upfront for or reserve - could just take a seat. English tv channels in the room. Free room upgrade

Small dinner menu Position of hotel could have been nicer Not much of a sea view

The beds were very comfortable. The breakfast buffet was outstanding, and although the dinner menu was limited, the quality was very high. We loved the view out the window of the harbor, and the hotel was very quiet (no street noise). The hotel is about a 10 minute walk from one of the main shopping streets and restaurants. It has an elevator. We would easily stay here again.

A little landscaping greenery on the outside of the building would help to increase its street appeal. The hotel is on a street with very little greenery and the outside feels cold and impersonal as a result. Not a deal breaker at all, but it doesn't make a good first impression when you drive up to it.

Great location, everything is in walking distance and buses for the tours are able to pick up and drop off directly outside the hotel. All the staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay. The hotel is exactly as shown in the photos, and the rooms are all easily accessible without long walks through lobbies. We were actually really lucky and also saw the Northern Lights from the front of the hotel on our 4th night. The cleaners come in everyday to freshen up the room, change towels and refill toiletries.

There isn’t the option to order room service which would have been nice after a long sightseeing tour, but it wouldn’t put me off booking again.

The staff where friendly, accommodating, the building was clean, good location and great breakfast selection. Good base for joining small and larger tours of Iceland. Went to Iceland during summer, the blackout curtains were good enough not to use an eye cover. Pre-warned about sulphur smell in some hotels showers (Volcanic Spring water), no issue in Eyja. Overall a great place to stay.

Beds were firm (really important for us). The free parking (lot in back) was very convenient to use. Staff were very helpful in storing our luggage as we arrived early. Coffee/hot water/ice water were always available. Though the location was a slightly further from the restaurants and sights in Reykjavik this actually worked in our favor as we needed to leave the next AM early. Since we were driving a rental car it was somewhat easier to get out of Reykjavik. Also, the location was relatively quiet compared to closer into downtown.

Location of the hotel was just slightly further from the restaurants and shops - this was ok for us as we only spent one night there. However, when we returned to Reykjavik we stayed closer in to the downtown area. I did not look carefully and had thought breakfast was included. When we realized it wasn't we decided not to eat breakfast at the hotel as the price was too expensive.

Very nice location. The hotel seemed fun, clean and modern with comfortable beds.

After canceling a three day stay (278.- p/n) and booking a two day stay only, the total cost for the two days remained the same (almost 450.- p/n) as for the three days. We were told it was demand at the time of rebooking that drove this large increase. The rate at the time when we actually stayed reflected the same cost as when I initially booked (278.- p/n) The rate felt artificially inflated. This was not a USD 450.- a night hotel.
