Breakfast was good and they gave us an early breakfast on day of departure which we appreciated. Clean ,comfortable room. All day free coffee , free cake at 4pm which was a lovely touch.

Our room was a two level loft arrangement with two beds down and three beds upstairs with plenty of room for my family of four. Both the bathroom and sleeping areas were clean and tidy. The beds and bedding were very clean and comfortable. The hotel offers a complimentary coffee machine in the breakfast area and served cake in the evening. The breakfast served was very good and had a decent selection. They have a recreation room with ping pong, fuzz ball, axe throwing and other games to play. The hotel has its own parking lot of you are coming by car.

The hot water has a sulfur smell. Other than that our stay was excellent.

We stayed in quad room on 3rd level. Very good location, great staff. We were given an early check in which helped start our iceland vacation on a great start. We were able to rest, freshen up and get out sooner in the city after our overnight flight. Breakfast was very nice. They have nice lobby area snd a game reading area too, lovely stay . Will surely stay here next time we are in Rekjevik!

Kids mentioned that upper level room was bit stuffy. All beds were comfortable but it is possible the room heat rises up and windows were cracked open in lower level. Someone had mentioned that take a small fan to get air moving but it would be nice if hotel provided fan to move the air

Close walking distance to centre but in a quiet area. A pub (brewery), restaurants and some shops beside it too. The whole of Reykjavik felt safe to be fair but I was happy out on my own wondering around the local area. Staff are so helpful and friendly, they can’t do enough for guests. Gave great advice on trips and things to do, places to eat and how to get around. Tea and coffee with homemade cakes every afternoon for anyone who wants them. We went down one eve late to watch fireworks and the manager and owner brought out cakes, fruit and chat away about the little Christmas celebrations. Very relaxed atmosphere. Just a very home like feel. The whole place is so clean. Rooms are small but spotless and so warm, can’t fault anything.

We only stayed here for a day, but the hotel was quite nice. The rooms were clean and spacious enough. The beds were comfortable. The staff were very friendly and even gave us suggestions on what to do around the city in one day and suggestions for best place to eat local food and go shopping! Check-in and check-out was easy

The bathroom was a tad bit small. Not a major issue but we did get a lot of Sulphur smell in the shower. Not sure if anything can be done about it or if it was just specific to our room but I just wanted to flag that :)

Although the building isn’t new and chic, the facilities are excellent. The location is great as about 12min walk to the downtown. Ample parking. The check in and check out process was simple and smooth. The room was clean. We had a room with loft so it was spacious. Bathroom was basic but the towels were clean and enough. The tv had a lot of options and the bed was comfortable too. The breakfast had all the necessary options, i.e types of breads, jams, granola, yogurt, juices, tea coffee, cheese etc. overall great experience!

The bathroom had a little smell.

The hotel is in a very good place, it's quiet and 15 mins walk from the centre. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Maybe you can see that some of the furniture is a bit outdated but it really does not count because the cleanliness of the whole hotel is and our room is unsurpassedly perfect <3 Highfive to the staff! The breakfast was really good all the time and the free cake at 5pm was a very nice touch! We can only recommend this hotel. Definitely will be back hopefully soon. Ps.: Ask about the origin of the hotel, it's interesting!

We had rented a car, so this location worked well for our last night in Iceland. No city noise. If ypu don't have a car, they do have public transport around, but it takes a while. Nothing is really in walking distance from here because of the expressways. However. Staff was extremely kind, hotel is clean, they have an elevator to get to higher floors with luggage. Also, free parking. Breakfast was the usual spread of meat, cheese, danishes, hard boiled eggs, toast, jams, assortment of teas and coffee. Also have juice.

We rented a family room to sleep 3. It had a loft with two twin beds and the bottom floor also has 2 twin beds. The bottom beds are separated. If you want to sleep with your spouse you may want to look into other options. I didn't have an issue with this personally. Just a heads up. Also, getting around with all our luggage in the room was tricky. We were there in Nov. So had packed lots of winter clothes. It was like playing tetris. But we figured it out.

The breakfast was very good for the price paid and as a buffet we could choose our portion sizes and have several cups of coffee/juice. Breakfast is a nice room off the main reception with large windows giving views of the mountains and sea. They provide teabags/hot water so you can fill up a flask before going out on trips for the day which is useful. Every evening they have sliced cake available in the breakfast area so when coming back from a day in the cold outdoors, it is a very nice feature of the hotel to walk in and always have a quiet area to relax enjoying plentiful cake and hot drinks - it is very calm and relaxinf in the evening. The car park always had plenty of spaces available, and has no barrier or permits. The location is very close to the major roads out of the city which is great if you’re doing trips around the country in the daytime and using the hotel as a base, but the city centre can be reached in a 15-20 minute walk or 5 minute drive. Quiet location - no noise. Useful supermarket a few minutes walk away.

The beds only have one pillow, and the pillow wasn’t comfortable or large enough to sleep on without extra support. A set of spare pillows stored in the bedroom wardrobe if guests need them would resolve this. The shower has an annoying curtain that moved towards you and sticks to you when the hot water is running - a screen would be preferable. It was annoying but not a deal-breaker, especially give the value of the room.

Very friendly staff, they were happy to help with any issues we had. The free hot drinks and cake of an evening was a lovely touch. Great location, 30 mins walk to the centre of downtown (in deep snow, probably quicker in better weather), so close enough to not need any transport but far enough that it was lovely and quiet at night. Bus stop for tours 10 min walk away which was perfect.

Only thing we didn't like was the shower curtain, however it seems that other hotels also have these.
